I have been stood for ages waiting for the gates to open in the instanced first event when you start the game. There is now loads of people waiting to get through the gates. it’s bugged and event will not progress so can not create a new char.
Just my opinion so no offensive intended but I think WvW is basically broke!
WvW is defo most of the end game fun, but it’s impossible to do ANYTHING when you move to wvw and it’s you vs….. well basically a whole Country. I get why it’s set up server vs server but in my experience we (England) just get massively out manned by other coutries servers. My idea is to balance the number on each side so it doesn’t end up being 1 of you and 40 of them on one map. I don’t know how it would work but some kind of limit that evolves i.e. same (ish) number of players allowed into the map at the same time from the three servers.
I was playing the other day and got a buff called “outmanned” the description said you are severly out manned so be carefull and the buff game extra kama, exp and gold gain. I am not sure exactly how the buff helps but my point is I couldn’t step out of the spawn point and last more than 5 seconds LITERALLY and this was on all 4 maps. there was some chat going on so seemed to be maybe 2-3 people on but the other server had like 40+ waiting at spawn point.
I know that this solution of limiting access has major faults and would be annoying to most players so I don’t think it is the full answer but it’s somewhere to start as when your lvl80 and want fun you go WvW….. to die every 2 mins and spend all your cash on equipment repair bacuase your completely and utterly out manned.
Anyone else think this is an issue? I guessing most (prime time) players will agree less. In my experience if your on before 12 dinner time or after 11 at night there is litterally ZERO point of going wvw because you’ll be on your own against a zerg.
