So much hate for swtor, I enjoyed the game. Sure it had problems, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as people made it out to be. Anyway, welcome to GW2. Always nice to have some more PvPers. If you plan to PvP but not sure what profession, you can always go to the PvP zone once you complete the intro on any character. You become level 80 with everything unlocked (skills, weapons, gear). This lets you try out a profession and its mechanics at max level, so you can see what it really offers.

Never had a problem with this. My pet always uses it on command.

Atharyia, I don’t think you understand my point here. I usually don’t need to rez my pet in battle.
What I am on about is, that it is important, from an RP point of view, to be able to do such a thing. I am well aware, that I can switch my pet, before the current one dies. I am also well aware that there are more effective ways to go on during combat. But as said, that is not what I am talking about.

Unfortunately this isn’t an RP game, mechanics should not be altered for RPers at the expense of better game mechanics.

A pet is like an additional partymember, so I (and I am sure, many other as well) want to be able, to get it back onto it’s feet DURING battle.

You need to be proactive in managing your pet in battle. You shouldn’t be letting it die, and if it is going to, swap it first. When you swap, its only a 20 second CD to swap back and you don’t have the down time of sitting there trying to res your pet for 30 seconds. If you’re pet is dying so much that you need to constantly res it in combat, you need to rethink your play style.
