Lava Lounge has a number of problems.

I really like the Lava Lounge and all, but it seems a bit roughly made with copy/pasted parts that seem off.

-Clipping Floor Boards: Each of the platform pieces that were pasted together have a criss-crossing set of boards that are clipping and flickering with each other, because they occupy the same vertical plain.

-Music: I know when you walk into the main area of the lava lounge, the trombone band playing behind you finally quiets down so you can hear NPCs play music or talk. But if you walk too close to the Trading Post, the trumpets of hell start blaring again. It’s the same thing if you walk onto the newly added platform.

-Doctor Girlfriend Child: There’s an NPC kid, a Norn I think, that sounds like a kid when you interact with him. But at random intervals, he cheers with the voice of an Adult Human.

-The Fence: Some ends of the fences are just free-floating bars with no vertical posts to hold them up.

-The Guild Bank/Merchant Swap: Seriously, nobody uses the Guild Bank frequently enough to warrant this inconvenience. The whole point of buying this pass was so we wouldn’t have to run a mile between the bank and the merchant in Lion’s Arch, and so on.

Same here, I’m gonna paste something I wrote in another post.

-

I agree, the guild bank is useless 90% of the time since only guild owners actually withdraw anything from them. And your average player isn’t going to often dump anything valuable in there. Now I have to run across the lounge to clear my inventory of junk or buy basic tools. If I want to access something guild related, I’ll go to that corner, much like I would in Lion’s Arch. They’re not mixed in LA, so now LA is technically better arranged than lava lounge in that regard.

Just about nobody cares about Guild Banks.

That’s okay, I didn’t like having minor timely condition cleanses anyway. Clearly the meta for Mesmers is to just run face first into a Condi wielder and just take it like a boss for the team.

Lion's Arch fails to load.

Mac user here.

By now I’ve figured out the pattern of this bug, which has been happening for the last three days.

-Upon a fresh log in, Lion’s Arch loads just fine.

-I leave the region to go do any random thing from dungeons to world bosses.

-Come back to Lion’s Arch, and the loading wheel in the lower right spins indefinitely. I can usually tell because it also does not show the map completion icons on the loading screen, and the loading wheel’s framerate gets choppy instead of the usual smooth spinning. There’s usual a 50/50 chance the game will just out right crash and tell me it failed to load something.

-I quit the game via key command or just using the menu, the wheel halts movement, but I have to force quit the game to actually make it close down.

-Click GW2 to re-open. The Finder word on the top left of the menu is replaced by Guild Wars 2 like normal and my dock shows that GW2 is up, however the window fails to load at all.

-I quit the game via the bar menu, suddenly log in window appears and I can log in again.

-Upon the window coming up, it makes some kind of minor download that takes two seconds, and then I log back in. See step one again.

All other regions act just dandy, and as long as I don’t need to go to Lion’s Arch more than once per log-in, everything is okay.

New Ranger player looking for advice.

Hello!

So I’ve been playing for a couple years now, but only in the last couple weeks have I begun to play Ranger. I mainly prioritize playing in WvW, and am having some trouble that I could use some advice on perhaps. In my case it’s a bit like ‘Hey, I see other Rangers doing this or using that, let’s try it.’

I’m running a fully berzerker build, runes of the ranger, sigils of force/fire on longbow, force/battle on great sword. 6/6/0/2/0

One thing I’m wondering is how you folks manage fighting against condition builds? I’m running the signet for condition removal, but I sometimes find it to not be adequate, especially when getting locked down. I can survive well enough against anything else, but condition builds tend to be the bane of my existence.

Build advice needed for newer Guardian.

Alright, so after playing Warrior for a while I’ve moved on to Guardian. I tend to run solo the majority of time in WvW as my focus. Idealy I wanted a tank build for solo fights but still packing enough punch to be threatening with the use of boons. I’m not looking for a ton of DPS, just enough to be a threat. So, I’ve been experimenting on my own and this is what I have so far. I figured I’d post here for advice from more experienced players, I’m open to all suggestions. Thanks folks!

Right now I’m running:

20: II, VII
0
20: V, VII
20: III, VII
10: II

Armor:
Full Clerics with Runes of Hoelbrak.

Weapons:
Cleric Greatsword/Sigil of Bloodlust (I figured Bloodlust would help fill in strength.)

Cleric Mace and Shield (No idea what sigils to use.)

Trinkets:
Full Soldier

Skills:
Signet of Resolve
Judge’s Intervention
Stand your ground!
Save yourselves!
Renewed Focus

Ah yes, I should have specified earlier. I’m more of a solo-player on WvW.

So, I have a pretty basic question. I’ve been getting mixed responses on this so I thought I’d turn to the forums for aid.

I’m looking to give my warrior some decent defense to work with while having semi-high critical damage and nearly 50% chance to crit. My question is, is Vitality necessary in combination with Toughness or could I completely ditch Vitality and still hold out just fine?

Thanks folks!

So, I’ve got myself an Asura Mesmer here, and I went with a variation of the Shatter Cat build for WvW. 10/25/5/0/30. Stats are generally the same as those shown in Osicat’s Solo Portal video. My question is, is there really a benefit to using these runes? I’ve been debating between Runes of Air or The Eagle, For the moment I have Orbs matching the armor pieces as place-holders until then. It seems like in terms of stats I would lose out by equipping runes over the orbs…
