The amount of times I’ll get kicked from PUGs for not playing meta builds, not because I can’t play or don’t deal damage, but because I’m not optimized, therefor I ‘waste their time’… their time to… GAIN LOOT.
This has to do with your build not your loot. People want to do content which can’t be done with people who’s builds aren’t useful in their opinion. In order to play and succeed they want to play with people whose setup will help them, not hold them back. The reason they’re playing is subjective and different for many people, to assume its for loot is just generalising things about people you shouldn’t. I would votekick someone without enough ar to do 100cm or someone without fullasc/useful build in raids as to give everyone the best chance we can get – NOT because of loot but because I want to succeed but to assume that others think the same is the problem, not loot.
That being said Loot in its own right is an issue of sorts, it is very volatile in nature – you get a crazy rare drop or you get a trash spike or whatever, its either amazing or its crappy which makes getting a roll of crappy loot feel bad because theres a lack of middle ground to say that oh I didn’t get X but at least I got this instead, much of the game feels like it lacks that middle ground loot imo – but thats a different topic entirely.
Great to see this client get released as the current one leaves much to be desired. I’ve been using it where I can but at the moment whilst I do get around double the FPS and can actually appreciate some of the games lovely graphics without my computer having a meltdown, it is unstable. Anywhere between 2 and 30 minutes I’ll have a crash. Initially I sent every report with what I was doing at the time but plenty of times I wasn’t doing anything at all.
I hope the client is in a more stable state by the expansion so I can moreso appreciate the new content this time around.
I’d like to say that i’m disappointed, I’ve not really had much to grind towards as I’ve been waiting for the right legendary before I invest my time into it, and now thats gone. I’m glad that theres going to be new content because at the moment there really feels like there is so little to do as most group content is pretty impossible on your own or mindlessly easy in a zerg, leaving no middle balance.
Secondly, I hope you turn back to look at Kudzu before you suspend work entirely on legendaries. Kudzu’s bowstring is currently a standard bow string which doesn’t allign on either end and has no uniqueness to its nature/freeflowing kind of style. If you’re really going to just leave it with a standard string, at least make sure its done properly.
No more clutter than everyone else is allowed? I don’t understand why thieves should be denied it. In this meta Thieves often use their impact way more than their regular stomp, so they never get to see their finisher which isn’t fair. To just not use the skill as you suggest isn’t exactly fair either.
Currently when you finish an opponent using Impact Strike (Daredevil Utility Skill) your opponent is finished with the basic finisher visual. After spending 100’s of gems and investing time into getting finishers, i’d quite like to actually see my personal finishers in game through this skills finish.
I’m also stuck, Attika.2804, (Desolation). Thanks in advance!
Previously, you could down somebody, start finishing them, shadow step away and then back toward the end to finish them safely.
now if you take damage after the shadow step your finish is cancelled (although the animation still plays) which makes finishing really unreliable. Shadowstep stomping was a great counter to many classes that felt fluent and rewarding to use as a nimble assassination class, please revert this seemingly un-intentional nerf.
