Hello lovely Guild Wars community,

SO Im looking for a bit of advice, Im basically building my first proper gaming PC with a average/fair budget. Im not expecting to use 3 monitors and 4k graphics bla bla bla (far too complicated for me).

Id just really like the PC to be able to handle this game without any issues/ performance lag/unbearable FPS…you get the picture. Here is what I’ve put together….any thoughts?

OS: Windows 7 Professional
CPU: i5 4590
Mother board: Asus z97-k
GPU: GTX 960
PSU: Corsair vs650 PSU
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2×4gb
SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 120GB

Im also getting a 1TB hard drive for all the other stuff but GW2 will hopefully go on the SSD.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated and go easy on me, Im out my element here.

GW2 Not Starting Up On Macbook Pro

Just to clarify, I did try ALL the steps in the above trouble shooting post about resolving issues with Macs.

GW2 stopped starting up when i tried this step:

“4.)If it doesn’t work, you can try to delete the contents of the gw2 data folder, it’s a pain to get to the right one: this step is a general fix for many tp and graphics issues, even without the previous steps however, it will lose all saved log in/password and in-game settings.
To access this:
1 Click on the “Finder” icon located in your dock or the desktop of your computer to make “Finder” the active program in the finder menu bar.
2 Hold down the “Option” key on your keyboard while clicking “Go” in the finder menu bar. A drop-down will appear.
3 While still holding down the “Option” key, click on “Library” in the “Go” drop-down.
4 Once in the Library folder click on Application Support > Guild Wars 2
5 Move the entire Guild Wars 2 folder to the trash and then empty the trash.
The next time you launch Guild Wars 2 it will recreate the recently deleted folder.”

I’ve got a Macbook Pro (late 2011) For some reason the frame rate for GW2 has been extremely low. So I tried following a few steps on the support site to “fix it”

After deleting all the data in the GW2 application support folder, the launcher now won’t start up, it just sits in my dock and shows the application is active but nothing shows up!

Even after deleting GW entirely and trying to reinstall it does the same thing, now it won’t even open up to install the full 20 gigs.

I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling, restarting and shutting down multiple times and nothing helps….so….HELP!

Being able to refund dungeon tokens.

I’m sure most of you know the large amount of time it takes to get the correct amount of dungeon tokens for what ever dungeon armour set you’ve had your eyes on for ages. And the other day i wasn’t even thinking when i finally got to get my armour set and hurriedly chose the wrong armour type (Stupid i know)

Thought it would be reasonable to suggest that we’re able to refund the armour for the tokens we used? I don’t see how it could be exploited or used in the wrong?

So hopefully Anet could bring it in? So when we have these rare bad brain farts it could be rectified
