Severe Graphic Loading Delay

I’m having a strange and debilitating issue logging in today. The loading screen takes about 10 minutes to pass, and when it does, I’m greeted by emptiness, countless generic players running around, and occasionally a graphic will load.
Here is my experience over the last 30 minutes.

Client log-in normal. No delay.
Character selection screen normal.
World selection loaded words but not the black background for several seconds.

Enter map, loading screen stayed up for nearly 10 minutes despite Divinity’s reach background audio playing.
Screen loads with me at the statue of Dwayna but my character is not visible and the screen appears to be in first person, no ground, few ambiant buildings visible, a few pillars, a doorframe. All players within a wide area visible in a generic blackened form. Many “Player” titles visible below me.
Camera seems to be able to rotate, but no movement possible. Camera seems to be misplaced on its axis.

A few objects such as stairs, plants, and solar system mobile become visible. Players as far away as the entrance to seraph HQ targetable via left click. Ateempts to move forward result in strange skipping around of location. Jumping moves the camera diagonally down instead of up and down. Jumping while moving skips the camera back and forth between two locations.

Suddenly camera is on the stairs in the garden. I get the “Do you want to enter the instance” option for Queen Jenna’s room despite not visibly being there.

Chat function is normal. I am able to speak in Guild Chat with no delay.

Castle loads without ground underneath it. Movement still scrambled.

Ground loads. Movement improved but still seems random and I still get stuck.

My character loads and everything is normal.

Introduction:

Are you in need of that special tweak to make your look perfect? Or perhaps you want to try something completely different.
Operating out of the Ossan Quarters in Divinity’s Reach on the Tarnished Coast server, John Divide’s Image Consultation Service is designed with you in mind.
Who are you? What is your play style? Who do you want to be? These factors, along with your natural skin/fur tones are matched with the perfect dyes, armor, and/or weapons to help you achieve that new look you desire to suit your needs.
Maybe you have your eye on that uber-expensive dye, but it is forever beyond your budget. John can advise you on a cheaper alternative.
John also offers advice on RP, such as uniform accuracy, personality features, and character history that aligns with GW1 and 2 lore.
You are also given the option of a blank-slate consultation in which a new look will be invented for you from scratch based on your interests in-game. If you are ready and willing to try something different, this is the visit for you.
All classes and races are welcome!

John’s Promise:

“One of the most important things is that you feel comfortable with any changes made to your appearance. You will never be pressured to accept my suggestions as stone if you do not like them, nor are you in any way required to keep my ideas exactly the way they are. I serve merely as a means of inspiration. I will ask for your opinion throughout the appointment, and will focus on informing you of the lowest priced versions of the styles i suggest in order to keep your total expenses to a minimum. Lastly, I will commit to you until you are content. Be it 5 minutes or 5 hours, you will not be turned away.”

Fee:

While each consultation is different, I’d like to keep the cost uniform. No matter how long or extensive the appointment, the price will be 1 Unidentified Dye. Why, you ask? In order to advise color changes, I currently rely on the Trading Post to look up colors by name or scroll through pages of random shades. This is time-consuming and inefficient. My goal is to collect as many dyes as I can to more quickly come up with ideas and raise my awareness of lesser-known shades. Once my catalog is complete, the cost will drop to 5 Silver indefinitely.
NOTE: Should your dye payment identify as a duplicate of a dye I already own, it will be returned to you REGARDLESS of its value. This means if I already have Abyss, and your payment identifies as Abyss, it will still be returned to you, guaranteed. In the future I will provide an accessible list of my current dyes so that you all know the status and return rate.
NOTE 2: Occasionally, I may waive the fee. Unidentified Dye is not the cheapest item, and some players just can’t afford them. Whether or not I choose to waive the fee is at my discretion, and it not guaranteed on request.

How to Make an Appointment:

Currently, I have no definitive office hours, so I will post an in-game notice on Map chat when I open for business each day until I figure out regular times. I take walk-ins and scheduled appointments. Walk-ins must be in my Office. I can travel for Appointments, but YOU must be able to guest on the Tarnished Coast server.
Contacting me is easy: You could comment here (though I might not check here very often),you could send a mail to John Divide, or you could try sending a whisper. It’s all up to you. Payment is collected at the beginning of the appointment, and I am able to work with all classes and races including cultural items.

Refunds:

Sometimes after a consultation, we may decide together that your armor is exactly the way it needs to me. Many players put a lot of work into their look, and sometimes all I can do is verify that everything is great. In those situations where not one change was made or no suggestions were given, a refund will be negotiated. You may choose not to accept the refund if you like, and I will graciously accept the donation!

Please help with PvE/solo leveling build

Just go with life siphoning on dagger/horn with staff. You hit fast, run fast, rarely die. You damage isnt amazing but once you get all your wells, you basically drop 12 stacks of vuln and have an easy time killing you target. This build works for soloing vets (and some champs at 80) as well as is effective in all dungeons due to its ability to support the party as a whole. You’ll keep people alive and keep the enemies hurting. This build is hard to make work at low levels, but once you get all your wells, you’ll be fine. I recommend going Sylvari because of the elite skill. Temporary immunity and the turrets all siphon health.

A look into the legendaries for necro

Hey,

I know its a bit head off and far, but out of curiosity i checked the legendary weapons currently discovered and i was surprised (on the bad side).

All the weapons that the necro can use got power+vit+toughness.
No condition dmg or precision whatsoever.
The most useless stats for necromancer on the legendary weapons.

Am i missing something? or we got totaly screwed and there is not even a point to go after a legendary weapon?

On my necro i run Power, Toughness, and Healing power. So I’m fine with these stats. I can always move the healing power of my exotic weps to the accessories that i have yet to get. The only reason I don’t like vit is that it raises the ammount of hp left for me to restore. I’m already incredibly solid.

Life Stealing needs to be better.

Id rather siphoning be affected by Healing Power. My necro relies on toughness, Healing power, and some Power. I run Dagger/Horn for fast damage and immobilizing. Staff for long range kiting. Wells abundant. It isn’t suited for wvw, but I’m unbreakable in pve, and an excellent support in spvp. I focus on dropping wells to keep my teammates alive and the enemy rattled.. In pve, I use a rune of healing offhand and mainhand varies depending on the situation. I’m mostly concerned with not dying and losing money. I kill rather quickly with daggers and never worry about the damage i take at close range because every hit restores a tiny bit of hp. As for pve, I run bloodlust, because more dmg= more points.

I’m pleased with the life siphoning as it is. I would just prefer if healing power raised the ammount of hp gained per % of dmg dealt.

Legendary Weapon Ideas

[edit] I’m impressed with what I came up with to such an extent that I’m going to write something for each type of weapon. I’ll make a topic about it and see if peopple want to try drawing any of them.

Horns: Valhalla and Acheron
These two horns have light and dark effects similar to Dawn and Twilight greatswords, however they are animated as gilded cornucopias with feathered or bat-like wings gracefully wrapped along the side; one a bright and shining light gold, while the other is a dark, sinister hematite silver. When the horns are dormant at the wielder’s side, their openings merely show the insides of the horns, as if they were normal.
When then horns are drawn, their mouths are covered by a rip in space, that when viewed closely from the front shows either a distant paradise of fountains and marble pillars and arches, while the occasional bird or butterfly passes (Valhalla), or grim river of darkness in a grisly bone cave with dim white lanterns floating in the air (Acheron).

When Valhalla is blown, the sound is reminiscent of a strong and optimistic battle horn, with the tittering of songbirds in its echo. It releases a heavenly swirling light in the stead of the usual animation and a few tiny feathers will float slowly towards the ground before vanishing. In idle, a constant white-gold glow emanates from the rift.
Tag: “When a warrior dies in honor, the Valkyries will carry him to paradise. It is said these horns are used by the Valkyrie to move between the worlds.”

When Acheron is blown, the sounds is low, and sad, like a grand funeral bell. It hangs in the air and then withers away with the moaning of a distant soul in the darkness beyond its mouth. It releases a shadowed miasma that attempts to cover the user while a blackened skeletal hand reaches out, grips the edge of the dimensional tear. But at the end of the tone, the miasma and the grasping soul are sucked back into the mouth of the horn.
Tag: “Acheron, the river of Pain. Upon reaching the underworld a soul is judged. Acheron leads to Tartarus, where punishment awaits.”
