Character: Aiyana Swift (Lvl 42 Norn Ranger)
Order: Order of Whispers
Mission after which story skipped: Lvl 33 Personal Story Mission “Down the Hatch”,
after we rescued Demmi from the pirates. After the skip "Down the Hatch" doesn't even appear in Story Log. It was never fully completed, as the last step was to go to LA and talk to the Orders leader there.
I never got to complete this step.
Skipped to: Lvl 48 Personal Story “Suspicious Activity”.

The exact same thing happened to me on “Down the Hatch”. Anet has to fix this. just saying “While this bug is fixed, we can’t retroactively set you on the correct quest steps, rewrite your journal, etc.” just doens’t cut it.

The same thing happened to me. And it happened yesterday. I logged a call with support (but haven’t heard anything back from them). I also posted a topic on the official forum about the same thing.

It’s not acceptable to just say you cannot do anything about this. Please respond to this Anet.

Hi. I logged a call with support on this as well, but perhaps you guys can resolve this faster;

I was doing personal story with my bf. We are playing as Norn on Aurora Glade server. We were busy with the story line “Down the Hatch”. After we rescued Demmi from the Pirates, my storyline went from lvl 33 to lvl 48 “Suspicious Activity”!

As per my bf story, the next story is supposed to be “Thrown off guard”.

It never completed “Down the Hatch” and now I cannot continue with personal story.

Please fix this ASAP, as I cannot continue…….

Edit: I’ve just read the post by Jason King regarding this:

Issue: it skipped me from story X to a L48 story quest!
Related to the above issue, if you were playing in a group to get past some of the stories blocked by bad character data, the only fix was to restore your character and advance you to Chapter 6.
Note: For the above issues, we’ve fixed the bug that causes them so they shouldn’t happen any more, but some characters might be bugged and have to reset by going to Lion’s Arch. Players who completed the battle for Fort Trinity pre-fix may experience some weirdness with it losing track of the story track they were on.
While this bug is fixed, we can’t retroactively set you on the correct quest steps, rewrite your journal, etc.

Sorry, but this is not acceptable. This story problem happened yesterday! When did you “fix” this bug? I want to carry on with my story and saying that you cannot fix the correct story quests, just don’t cut it.

The main reason why I play this game is for the story. If you cannot fix this, then I might as well stop playing now… It’s sad, but this is really a game-breaker for me.
