Mordremoth does have a physical body. If you go to the very bottom of Verdant Brink those writhing vines there are part of Mordremoth.

The Mouth of Mordremoth is both Mordremoth and only a part of Mordremoth in that its acting like a traditional body to guard it’s “heart”. But if the Mouth is pruned I’m sure Mordremoth could regrow another. My guess though is that it takes considerable effort/resources to build/control these powerful avatars, and that could be why we only see one.

But despite all that I think canonically we only kill the Mouth once. We know the fight happens during the end of the HoT instanced story, and Mordremoth’s attention split between those two battles is what tipped the scales against the elder dragon. Laranthir’s dialogue could either be because he is unaware of the recent actions of the Pact Commander, or like someone else mentioned it could be because we killed the ego, but the id is still alive.

Not a bug. This is how it works and has always worked. Sorry you don’t like it. But, it isn’t a secret Rodgort replaces that skill animation. I made Rodgort expecting it to have that animation and don’t want it removed.

I saw on the wiki it said it replaces torch throw abilities but I didn’t really consider the original as throwing the torch.

What would you think of instead of reverting it back they upgraded the animation to something more flashy? Like a large head of Rodgort or something? This is assuming they ever look back at Rodgort, which from what you said seems like a depressingly low chance.

I was also able to take a screenshot of the bug in case anyone wants to see what I’m talking about. My guess is that the animation for the ranger’s torch throw got mixed in with the guard’s fireball.

From what it seems with the examples in GW1, if someone can control the souls of the dead they have gone past necromancy and are a lich.

Just made Rodgort and notice the animation for the skill Zealot’s Fire is bugged. instead of the normal animation its replaced with the torch its self.

I know some legendaries replace animations but I’m sure this one is isn’t intended because going from ripping off our veil of fire to throw at the enemies to chucking our torch seems like a huge downgrade.

I guess while on the subject of Rodgort I’ll just add here instead of making a new thread that I feel like the legendary effects for the weapon is pretty weak compared to others. The footsteps are very small and I can’t even see the fire aura around my arm with my armor in the way. I feel like I now understand why Rodgort is one of the least sought after legendary.

They used to change shape in GW1 but no longer in this game.

Since its still counted as lore my guess is its just not shown in the game. Like horses.

I play gw2 about 2.5 mouth. almost rank 41 now. got ransacker title at rank 40 and little bit. never had any delays with title. u speak about skyhammer abusers. maybe u did something for speed up rank and u buged ur self?xD

I didnt say anything about those who farmed Skyhammer. If you read my post you would understand what is causing the problem.

Take a look at the screen shot I have. I’m rank 39 and only at tier one out of ten for the title that is for rank 30s.

The issue that’s causing this is that the bonus rank points from a win on a tourny does not contribute to the title. At lower ranks this isnt as noticable but in my situation its gotten a bit ridiculous. I obtained the rank 30 title at rank 37. I imagine the people I’ve seen in the 50s and 60s have it way worse.

I imagine this isn’t working as intended because it just seems outlandish. If thats so then why hasn’t it been fixed?

Or something similar like what is in GW1. What I’m finding with tournies is that there are an awful amount of people who go afk before the match and don’t leave a queue. It is such an easy task to leave the queue that there really is no excuse. By going afk they’re not only hurting their team, but the opposing team isn’t having that much fun either.

Another issue I have is this: [attached picture]. Whats happening is apparently “red” and “blue” has played together, and “blue” seems to have experienced “red” not participating in the match already. Thankfully I haven’t run into people deliberately trying to throw a match often (but it has happened more than once), but there is no recourse for when it does happen.

The huge problem I see with a leeching option is it being abused. The only recourse for it being abused is if Anet employees review the cases, and I’m not sure if they are able to handle more report cases to go through.

Could we talk about Tequatl?

I think its been long enough to say that the Tequatl encounter is no longer new and I’m wondering what people think now that the current state of the event seems to be the norm.

Personally I think its shown to be a failure. People said Tequatl was too easy and the difficulty was increased way too much in response. It seems like the only way to run it is with a large guild, which I guess some may find okay or even preferable but to me its disappointing.

Is it possible that an Anet employee has said somewhere what their thoughts are? Is the state of Tequatl what they really hoped for? Will it ever change so that a random zerg of players could jump in and at least have a chance at completing it?

What do other people think? Is the current state of the boss okay with you? Do you think there should be any changes, maybe minor or major? Would you like to see the other dragon champions put at this difficulty?

I hope PB guild on NSP reads the forums. I’m not bothered that we got killed, its expected when a large zerg passes by. What bothers me is that you guys took the time to jump on our two bodies as if the kills meant something.

Boy did you look foolish when your zerg + 5 golems wiped to our smaller defence.

Could we get a response from Anet about how shields are floating ridiculously off our backs (example below)?

I used to show the silly CoF pauldrons just because it hid how much levitating my shield does. Now that I decided to hide those pauldrons I cant stop being distracted by my shield. I mean just look at it. The gap can even be noticed when looking directly from the front or back its that far away.

My only guess for it is because of the charr running animation. When we’re on all fours it would clip a bit if the shield were a little closer, but I really would rather have it clip when I’m in motion than have it floating when I’m stationary trying to view my character.

I’ve just about gotten to the point where I think I may just use a different offhand.

I have two guesses for this. Jormag could be using sex as an arbitrary way of sorting his new minions (males to the front lines, females to guard his domain) or he doesn’t show his female minions because it might upset his Sons of Svanir that a woman was granted Jormag’s gifts.

I was making a joke about people complaining how its ONLY Darkhaven that ever gang up on people. But I guess your screenshot proves that Darkhaven is the ONLY server to ever do that too.

Edit: oops, thats actually DR with more people, but it seems like DR is leading the charge on the forums about how unfair fights are the Ultimate Evilâ„¢

But in seriousness, this stuff is really childish. Stop complaining about being outmanned. Its not surprising people on your server don’t wanna fight when they haven’t been winning lately. DH has had that happen, other servers have had that happen. Whining isn’t gonna solve anything.

I don’t know why I ever bother reading these threads, its just 2/3 people crying about DH.

When we lost three of our top WvW guilds a few months ago and started our decent in the rankings I didn’t whine about it or blame the winning servers, cause that is just childish. I just hoped that we would get to play a better match up (unfortunately thats still not the case since instead of losing by a large margin we’re winning by a large margin and that still isn’t very fun).

CoF Armor

So I found out that charr who have light CoF armor have their tails get a new fiery look, but apparently those of us with heavy armor can just go cry in the corner (I’m not sure about those with medium armor).

I’m trying to go for a fire look on my charr since it goes with my condition damage (whole reason I haven’t bothered with legendaries), so I feel pretty annoyed that this privilege is only granted to those with light armor. Is there a reason they restricted it to light armor?
