NA player, experienced, two level 80s, looking to transfer to heavily oriented WvW guild in a new server.

Variety. Zerging, Skirmishes, a bit of roaming. I like to do it all.

Tired of getting completely stomped in FC, and FC really only has one or two commanders that even understand WvW…so looking for a change of pace on that, too.

Also, been hearing good things about SoS community. Is it still like that?

As I am against double teaming, you cannot take off the fact that it is needed. There is no official agreement. I think both server just know who to hit first.

We will hit FC after we eliminate DH first. Don’t worry DH we just love you more and we missed you.

Proof? FC just attacked a DH zerg at Anzalias. Once kittenilled half, they ran into the keep, and IOJ jumped down on the DH zerg.

I should’ve just screen shotted. Buddy was 2v1 on me with his Sentry, and then once the Sentry died, he ran back into his camp, and sat there.

DH, what are you guys doing? I understand it’s fun to come out strong on a reset, but you do realize that you’re going to make both FC and IoJ just want to give up, right? I’m not to keen on an essential 1v1 with DH because you demoralized FC enough to where they don’t show up at all. You keep going at this rate, and nobody is going to be in WvW. Do you really need to capture all of EB, all of FC’s BL, and have half of our BL? If you keep it up, I think you’re going to have an entire week of absolutely nothing.

Look at Millenium. We’re projected to lose 56k at this rate. So yes, we really do need to “capture all of EB, all of FC’s BL and have half of your BL.”

To be fair the number is always higher the day after reset. You are losing all of your points to IoJ anyhow. Stomp IoJ and you won’t lose nearly as many points.

They won’t go for IOJ simply because we have a smaller server population. They can roll out 3 giant zergs all at once, all day long, like the video above…how many is that attacking our keep for how long ? They kept coming over, and over after that, too. Until we got bored, and left, at which point they finally took it.

All the while they had a zerg running around in our BL, while IOJ was all green, because they knew we didn’t have the population to stop them, but IOJ did, so they just took our stuff, and ran their zerg back to wipe IOJ if they attacked blue.

All in all, though, considering how often we’ve been wiping these servers, and considering we are Tier 8 facing Tier 5, I can only look forward to a population boost that will rocket us to the top.

FC got tag teamed by IOJ, and DH last night after we lost SMC. So we all got off, and said screw it. We’re outmanned pretty much all day long, we just don’t have the population to compete with Tier 5 servers. It’s terrible because if we had the numbers that DH has this week, the competition here would be pretty kitten good.

I mean, a handful of FC held off for hours on wave, after wave…but what if we all had the same people? That would’ve been some deadly open world battling.

ANet needs to move some population around.. they charge us $20 to move, or $20 to join the server…but do nothing except put us up against Tier 5 opponents?

We defended SMC on reset night from zerg upon zerg of both Darkhaven, and IOJ..considering we are a tier 8 server, I’d shudder to think how deadly we’d be with Tier 5 population.

With 20-30 people we dominated everything we came across in EB until we finally said screw it, let’s just hold SMC for fun.

I wish I could’ve got some video of the Darkhaven siege on our Keep about a hour ago, though, that was pretty epic defense when we were brutally outmanned 3 to 1.

They also lost their borderlands except bay but at least the genre of this guy’s talk has changed from “GoM are spineless jerks that use arrow carts” to “LOOK AT MY NEW TOY OMG I DIDNT KNOW THESE EXISTED STOP QQ” sorta thing..

How many times do I have to tel you that 5 GoM and 2 ACs can wipe a whole FC Zerg? You and Aldix try and bait us all ya want, but we’re still 60k points in the lead and I full intend on seeing EB stay red tonight on night crew. You better learn Chinese fast boy, I’m in a red state of mind.

So in order to defend your server’s ability, you come out, and say “We take everything at night, when everyone is sleeping.”

Please, please, before you post, try to figure out what exactly it is you are trying to say, or prove, it’ll save you this kind of embarrassment.

I love how GoM is trying to antagonize me, and calling me a troll for pointing out their exact words. THEY said they are disorganized, THEY said they are unavailable to play a ground troop game, THEY said they need AC, and supply to be successful. I am just reiterating this.

If the game is entirely playable without using a piece of it, which it is. ( If every server used none, the game would still be played just fine, it’s not like you wouldn’t be able to get through a door without it. )

Thus, using it is a handicap. It’s a pretty straight forward definition.

Why are all you GoM mad? You defended the castle, and you’re still raging and Q.Qing about it on the forums. I’ve never seen a winning server cry so much. If you really believed that you had skill, and tactics, you wouldn’t need to try, and defend it at every turn with make shift GIFs.

I don’t get this….GoM defended StoneMist. Admitted they needed siege to do so, admitted they have poor cohesion, and skill sets in their WvW groups, and there’s still crying. Let’s all have fun!

As for GvG, why wouldn’t it be fun? You say it’s worth nothing, I say the bragging rights, and screen shots from a victory would shut a lot of people on the forums up about “Skill” in certain guilds.

When people claim they won’t do things in VIDEO GAMES because they “Don’t accomplish anything”, you can only shake your head…it’s a video game..nothing you do in there accomplishes ANYTHING.

Simply take a screen of when the first gate was breached, and one when the defense was complete. Over 2000 supply was used in that defense. How much supply do you think was used in the attack?

I don’t have a problem with you using it. Were you not able to read my post? It’s a handicap, one that your server takes full advantage of due to lack of organization, and skill.

That is why it’s there. For weaker players to contribute. GoM has actually admitted in numerous posts that they are weaker players, and have less skill, that’s why they use siege… so why is this even an argument?

Time to move on. If SM wasn’t full of supply, you would’ve lost it. Everyone on both servers knows this.

It’s really unfortunate that GoM has to react the way that they did to a legit concern. All StoneMist defenders did was build arrow carts. Literally, and while the FC group was “walking around destroying siege” there must’ve been 10 or 12 cannons shut down.

Listen, there’s nothing wrong with giving yourself an advantage. You’ve identified that your players are smaller guilds in the posts above, and have less experience, and skill in actually using builds, and playing the game. So I don’t understand what the argument is?

GoM has in no exact words made reference to their inability to put together teams, and even in their screen shots, it took them three commanders to keep track of what seemed to be a small group when GoM is considered. Let’s be honest, if there isn’t 50 or 60 people rolling down the hill, GoM has significant trouble in those clashes.

We all need to relax. Siege is a handicap. It’s pretty much written in the book. You can build machines capable of doing significant damage over a large area, and you can place them anywhere. If that isn’t significant assistance, I don’t know what is.

So let’s all just have fun, GoM needs that tactic, and they use it well. FC uses skill, and strategy due to their lesser numbers than most servers. It’s two different ways of playing. I’m sure if FC had the numbers that GoM does, they’d be in a much higher tier just due to the amount of strategy, and cohesion they’ve had to develop being outmanned all the time.
