Edmond Dantes your points are well considered but don’t address the issue: They forced all this upon the paying casual player who doesn’t want to deal with raid-style group and tactical requirements. As I said, they are free to change the gameplay, but when it’s this drastic they have to disclose the changes before taking money.
I didnt cry for nerf – I petitioned for a refund. I dont remember Orr because I wasnt there. I enjoyed GW2 as I found it, spent money on HoT expecting more of the same, and was bitterly disappointed. They are obviously free to change the playability however they see fit, but they should be honest about those changes before taking my money.
Because Tango Fro until my refund goes through they owe me for fundamentally altering the game without telling me.
LP I dont presuppose to speak for anyone other than myself. The playability has been obviously altered, and they didnt advertise or even hint at the drastic changes. I wonder of all 4 of you overachieving paying customers are enough to satisfy their business model.
GW2 playability has been fundamentally altered with HoT – there is no arguing that fact. To suggest the issue is that casual players “Get Better” is bullkitten. They changed the game, didn’t tell us, and took our money.
I didnt have to type /y and beg for help before HoT. The change in playability is obvious, and we were mislead by their lack of disclosure.
HoT has not only abandoned the solo player, they did it without warning before taking your money.
I am disappointed they fundamentally altered the gameplay with this expansion. That they did this without full disclosure before taking my money is a blatant disrespect from them to me. I have petitioned for a refund and will not play or spend money in the old content after being treated like this.
Solo players cannot advance in the new content, and any decent publisher would disclose such a fundamental change prior to taking your money.
I feel like you have complained about group content before and I said the same thing and recommended you find yourself another game.
. . .
So here it is again. MMORPG. MMO = Massive Online Multiplayer. The concept still seems to glaze over people.
You CLEARLY do not want an MMORPG, PLEASE go find another game.
MMO simply means more than one person playing in the same world. I doesn’t mean or even imply that they must coordinate in order to advance.
Most MMO’s, including previous GW2 content, allow players to choose between solo and group activity. HoT forces all players into group content, and for obvious reasons, didn’t bother telling anyone before they spent their money.
This expansion plays like one big sloppy raid. There is no way to avoid group content, there is way too much conflict crammed into too small a space, and the 3D mapping implementation is awful.
Repetitive dying and spawning is for Raids. There needs to be a way to opt out, or at least walk around, all that ridiculous group content that is constantly spammed into the face of every player that enters.
