Maybe I missed something obvious, so I’m going to ask a dumb question just for clarity.
Once I unlock a skin in the wardrobe, am I free to delete the actual item while still using the appearance from the wardrobe in the future? If so, that’s a lot of saved bank space! I’m assuming this is how it works, but I want to check!
Thanks!
Seeing the new flutes in game made me think of the same thing today. Just reviving this suggestion (rather than creating a new one) because I’d love to see something like this now that we’re getting a wider variety of musical instruments!
Amazing!
Thank you for all your hard work!

Are you playing solo and don’t know where to look for friends? [WAY] is here for you! Because GW2 is better with friends!
[WAY] was founded on head start night on the Dragonbrand server by a group of friends looking for other like-minded players to experience Tyria together. So far, we’ve gathered about 55 folks, and continue to search for more. We’re hoping to get a good solid group together to start tackling guild bounties and other missions. We’ve got them unlocked, just need folks willing to learn and run them!
Not on Dragonbrand? No problem! We have plenty of folks who guest over to share adventures! So if WvW isn’t an issue for you, don’t let your server hold you back from contacting us!
Guilds toss around words like “casual” and “family friendly.” You’ve heard all that before, but we really mean it. Folks of [WAY] take pride in what we do and in supporting each other inside and outside the game. We’re a group of mature, casual players who like to kick back, relax and unwind in good company.
We have a balance of girl and guy gamers (the guild is run by a group of gals), and we try to keep chat content clean and safe for all ages. We’re primarily a North American guild, but do have international members. Our playtime varies, but you’ll find most of us on later evenings (EST) and weekends.
No matter your play style, class, experience or skill, if you’re looking for a low-drama, no-stress guild, we’re holding a spot for you! We have several experienced level 80s who are happy to help others learn the ropes, if needed.
What we offer:
- Guild Website & Mumble Voice Chat
- Many upgrades, including Deep Cave storage
- Weekend Guild-wide Bonuses (Influence, Magic Find, Experience)
- Helpful Level 80 Explorers & Level 400 Crafters
- Variety of play styles – PvE, Personal Story, Dungeons, Fractals and a little light WvW
- Guild Bounty Training and Bounties unlocked!
To get in contact with us, sign up on our guild site, which acts as an application. You can also contact any available recruiter in game any time.

Take care and hope to see you in Tyria!

Hey there SvennK! [WAY] is a Dragonbrand-based guild that may fit what you’re looking for. We are casual and don’t enforce rules on how often members need to log in. We’re mostly adults with a lot of responsibilities outside of the game, so we know how it feels to be busy IRL.
If you’re interested, please feel free to check out our thread and website! Good luck!

Thank you very much! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Hi all!
I just tried my hand at a piece of Asura fan art (my first) depicting my little Asura necromancer, Zznaf. He’s rather atypical as far as necros go, but that’s why I like him!
This was drawn in thanks to followers on my role play blog: Snaff Savant . If you enjoy reading about adventures in Tyria, you can find his there!
Thanks for looking!
What a lovely style and use of traditional media! If you’re not overwhelmed, I’d love a piece of my Charr, Nipp Mousetrap! I’ve also followed you on Tumblr. I hope you don’t mind the reblogs!
Some may not agree with me, but I believe the story mode dungeons need to be separated out from explorable mode and significantly toned down with the upcoming changes. I always have, even if that means nerfing the already low rewards (if chest running is a concern).
Feel free to leave the challenge in the explorable modes. But please stop gating lore and story behind frustrating dungeon mechanics. If you call them “story mode,” allow us to see that story. Let it be a training mode for harder dungeons, if you must.
I’m a member of a rather casual guild. I haven’t run the explorables, but have consistently helped guildies complete the story mode dungeons for the sake of seeing the story (I’ve lost count of how many SM TAs I’ve run). This is pretty much the only way players can get the background on Destiny’s Edge (outside of reading the book). It’s sad that this experience is lost in the middle of struggling to balance gameplay for more elite players.
Our guildies are still learning. We try hard to make builds to support each other and don’t just zerg in with glass cannon DPS. Even then, I know a number of boss encounters that would have been almost impossible for us to beat with the new anti-res waypoint mechanic. With this change, I don’t know how many guildies are going to plow through the frustration of group wipes and boss resets, especially when bosses exist that can one-shot you in exotic armor (CoE, I’m looking at you).
Please keep in mind that not everyone is here for the speed run. You still have players who want the full experience, and just the chance to learn group mechanics, especially those who brave story mode. Give us a chance to see your lore.
Sincere thanks for your consideration.
Hi there, Drakonhammer!
[WAY] is a guild on Dragonbrand that matches what you’re looking for with every aspect except size. We’re currently just under 50 members, but have active folks on every night. We’ve been here since early launch, and are working to continue to recruit. We tend to go for quality over quantity, but we may just reach that 100-ish in time.
If you haven’t had any other leads yet, and might be interested in checking us out, feel free to look at our recruitment thread and website. Thanks for your consideration and good luck in finding a home on Dragonbrand!
I don’t usually post a lot on these boards, but I hope maybe someone will read and think about this request. It’s the one major unhappy spot for me in this game.
Please consider scaling down the difficulty of STORY mode dungeons.
Leave the explorable modes for folks who want the challenge. Heck, if you think there’s too much reward in story mode (I don’t), nerf it if you must. But, please know that not all of us are there to grind tokens or run chests.
Some people, like myself and many in my guild, wish to play the story mode instances for the experience of learning about the dungeon and hearing the ongoing story of Destiny’s Edge. You can’t get this backstory or see the cinematics anywhere else in the game, and it’s a real shame that it’s gated behind frustrating dungeon mechanics (especially with the newest waypoint change).
People who haven’t read the books may not know about the group’s dynamics and history. They are missing out on the storyline unless they can complete the dungeons. That’s what I have the most qualms with.
Sure, many of my guildies are casuals, but we all make a good effort to try and complete the story modes for story sake. We aren’t skippers or power runners. We just want to learn and understand the lore. I feel story mode is sometimes “punished” due to mechanics used and abused to speed run the explorable modes.
If you need a list of bosses that caused the most issue to my teams in story mode, I can offer it. CoE was especially horrendous (even before the waypoint change), and not a story mode I’ll run again willingly unless a guildie really, really needs it.
Thanks for your consideration!
Hi Nigirie!
If you don’t mind coming to Dragonbrand, [WAY] might be a guild fit for you. We’re all casual players, most have full time jobs, families or school, and enjoy playing GW2 to wind down. We have players all across the US, but tend to be pretty active later evenings during PST times.
If you’re interested, please check out our forum post and website! Good luck with your hunt!

Hi there Navandozer!
[WAY] might be the kind of guild that you’re looking for, if you don’t mind hopping over to the Dragonbrand server. Some of us have been long-time friends, some of us are RL family. We hang out on the Mumble server (sometimes even hook up in other games shhhh, don’t tell), and often Facebook and stuff among ourselves.
If this sounds like something you’re interested in, feel free to check out our forum post and website! Good luck in your hunt!

Hey there EkiBR!
The guild [WAY] has a home on Dragonbrand and an open roster to new folks at the moment. While some of us can be chatty, there are plenty of get-it-done folks who like to do Orr and farming runs, as well as work through dungeons. While we’re not hardcore, I tend to head up almost-nightly runs and we always welcome more folks to explore Orr events.
Rather than be too long-winded here, I invite you to view our forum post and website. I also wish you the best in your search for a GW2 home! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Hi Johanna!
If you haven’t picked up a guild yet, the group at [WAY] may have what you’re looking for. We’re casual, laid-back and willing to help out with all your PVE needs. While we do offer a Mumble server, no one is ever forced to play with it. And there is plenty of chat between members in the regular channel as well.
We’re on the Dragonbrand server and tend to run across all US time zones (not sure which time zone you’re in). We also have international players that play at various times.
If you’re interested, please check out our guild post and website! Good luck in your hunt for a GW2 home!

Hey there Jaybo!
If you don’t mind making a transfer to Dragonbrand, [WAY] is recruiting. We’re currently helping folks of all levels explore and make it through dungeons (including myself!), and would welcome more dungeon-interested folks to the guild. You don’t have to be shy about it as we’re all learning, and enjoy sharing tips and knowledge.
Besides that, we are a casual US-based guild with a mature, family-friendly atmosphere. We’re here for fun and to share the experience of Tyria.
If this is something you might be interested in, please check out more information on our guild post and our site! Good luck in your guild hunt!

Hey Getsuga!
I know you’ve had a number of replies, but I wanted to offer a spot on the roster in [WAY]. We’re on Dragonbrand, too, so if you want to stick with your home server, and you haven’t picked up another guild yet, please feel free to check us out. We’re pretty casual and totally understand the call of school and work IRL.
For more info on us, please check out our post on the forum and our guild site!

Hey there!
Of you don’t mind hopping over to Dragonbrand, [WAY] is a casual guild seeking mature gamers a lot like you. We totally understand that RL comes first, and that gaming is time to relax, socialize and have fun. Most of us have a lot of RL responsibilities that pushes us into the casual gamer zone, but we still organize dungeon runs, explore together, fight dragons and hook up for events as much as we can.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, you can find more info in our guild post on this forum, or on our website. Good luck in your guild hunt!

Hello all!
I’ve been playing around with a silly graphical story/fanfic following the in-game adventures of one of my quirky Asura alts. I’ve created a story blog on Tumblr and wanted to share the progress here. It’s only just getting started, but hopefully you will enjoy!

Hey there!
Our guild [WAY] is on Dragonbrand and strives for a family-friendly, no-drama atmosphere. We play a combination of PvE, dungeons, and WvW, though most of us are just starting to learn WvW at this time. I can see we’ll probably move more in that direction as we get our mains leveled up.
If you’re interested, please view the following thread and visit our guild website. Thanks for the consideration and good luck in finding a GW2 home!
Yep. In the same boat here. I am sure I was representing the right guild, as I am the guild leader, and used the tome on my main character.
I used it during head start, so it’s been a few weeks without a reply to my ticket.
You’re not the only one. I noticed this last night, too, and thought maybe I was just missing something. All other weapons and armor are there, but the Fiery Dragon sword is missing from the PVP gear tab of my HOM merchant.
Home World: Dragonbrand
Guild Name: Wayrift [WAY]
Guild Website: http://wayrift.guildportal.com
In-Game Contact: Aywren.5438
Focus: PvX, WvW
Quick Notes: Mature, casual and family friendly. Long term guild, originally established in GW1. US based, but do have a few International folks.
Hi Grashopa!
We’d be more than happy to hook up with an alliance. Just let me know what you have in mind. We’re just getting started with settling in at GW2 (originally founded during GW1).
I really need to register at the Dragonbrand website and add it. I’m a part of the Facebook group, though. Thanks so much for your suggestions. Feel free to contact me in game!

Lots of great tips up there. Don’t give up! There is a learning curve for this game — I’ve felt it, too, when I first logged in. It took many of my friends a few days and a number of hours to get the feel for it. But once they did, they started commenting “Oh… I understand. I’m getting the hang of this!”
And that’s a great feeling!
I find it really rewarding to discover new things naturally, hone my skills and start to understand things like skills and traits. New games tend to have that overwhelming feeling for me in the beginning. And that’s even true for me, coming from many years of MMO playing, including GW1.
You’re not alone and you’re doing the right thing by sticking to it! Practice helps over time! (I’m still trying to get the dodging feature down, myself.)
Good luck!
Reviving is one of my favorite things to do in this game! Most folks offer a kind thank you and appreciation for it, so far. I’ve been known to get myself wiped in attempt to revive other folks. It’s the thought that counts, right?
I haven’t gotten there yet, but I heard there are traits that actually help support you and the other player when reviving. Which I think is an awesome idea!

Back before launch, a group of charr-loving artists on Tumblr and Deviant Art got together to create this community collaboration artwork — the Big Charr Collab. You can check out this link to see all of the the artists’ credits!
This was an awesome project and a lot of fun to be a part of — our way of sharing our excitement and thanks to A-Net for such a great game! I wanted to share this here since I saw the new fan content forum was open (am I the first post… really?)!
Fantastic site for creating and sharing builds!
