If you want to make a profit crafting, don’t buy all the materials on the trading post. Problem solved!
Except it is not, because gathering is not free.
But you can still cost the materials in 15% cheaper than if you buy them.
This has got to be the worst city out of them all. It’s so boring and frustrating.
For example, I apparently still have 3 POI inside imperator’s core, yet i’ve been around every inch of it and they still say they are above me.
This is why I think your topic title is wrong, BC has lots of nooks and crannies to it for people to explore.
What you really mean is, it is bad for trying to 100% the map quickly without exploring.
From my experience, they don’t stack. I play Necromancer, and get a 10% quickness from Signet of Locusts. I should also get another 10% quickness bonus from using a Dagger in my main hand (Quickening Thirst trait), but it doesn’t seem to increase my movement speed any further. I seem to only get the bonus once.
He is on about the effect quickness which makes you attack faster, not run speed buffs.

Also I think he was on about proc chance not magnitude stacking.
For the love of all that is good in the land, plz shut up vendors!

C. Idle Scenes (spoken by two or more NPC’s, conversing back and forth)
The “rotating cog amasses no sporaphites” rephrasing of “a rolling stone gathers no moss” was amusing the first couple of times I heard it, now I have to turn the sound off or I fee like punching something.
Who’s video did you screencap for the images?
The guy who made it would seem to be the best place to ask.
Edit
Found the video, seems he just took the pictures from here http://donoftheslum.minus.com/mPtKnTgkz
So that guy would be the one to ask.
Also here are the original quality pictures of the swords.

Your character turns to face the camera orientation when you move.
If you want to spin on the spot for the purposes of making a video or something, then yes you would need to use turn keys.
Salt and Basil should be shown if they are in your inventory (not your bank)…if they are not, then that does sound like a bug, since at level 0 in the craft there is no way you could have learned all their recipes.
Could I suggest attaching a screenshot with the discovery tab and your inventory both open showing the salt/basil in the inventory but not in the discovery pane so that ArenaNet have something to work from to see that this isn’t just confusion about how the discovery pane works (which has been the case for a lot of the previous reports).
Todays patch should have changed this so hopefully there will be a little less confusion from people.

Discovery crafting may now use items directly from a player’s bank.
It’s a bug, the buy order should be locked to minimum of +1c, Arenanet dev response in one of the other posts if you want to look for it.
Your not forced to buy the cheapest. You can select the next box up in price.
Could have sworn I tried that and it didn’t let me deselect the one before, this was a while back when TP was first up an being a bit glitchy though.
Shall try again if it is possible to not support this practice on higher priced items.
This is something I hate in other games, and I would always go for the guy who has a nice rounded figure of 10s, instead of the guy selling for 9.99s.
Here though you are forced to buy the cheapest no matter what, so that isn’t an option.
I try and price myself down by 50c or 1s stages to get a quicker sale, but the trading post move so fast you then find some guy has dumped 5 on ahead of you for 1c less.
So I would like either the listing fee to be refunded on a removed sale, buyer to be able to pick which stack he buys from, or a minimal undercut range.
I’m levelling artificing, at skill level 44 currently – I’d just used a self-created Mighty Green Inscription to discover Mighty Crude Focus (so the item was working fine in the discovery window), and ran out of inscriptions to do more so bought some from the AH. Now the AH-bought Mighty Green Inscription do not appear in the discovery window, even though all 5 other types do.
Definitely a bug, there’s no logical reason why it wouldn’t show up. Yes, I have it in my bag, just like all the other ones. I can also use the inscription successfully to make items I’ve already discovered that use it.
Which weapon have you not found a “Mighty Crude” version of that you are expecting to discover still?
It sounds like you have already gone through a stack of the inscriptions so maybe you did them all.
You should monitor how many undiscovered recipes things have by putting the inscription in first.
I strongly think it is a bug. I quickly leveled to 150 in jewelry, but I can’t even get to 50 in tailoring because there are only about 3 ingredients that will appear in my discovery pane, even though I have every available Tailor ingredient for my level. Ingredients like “Tiny Claw,” which are rated “Tailor (25)” will not appear in my discovery window even though I am a level 41 tailor and I have not discovered anything using “Tiny Claw.”
Seriously, something is wrong.
Just because an item is used by a profession doe not mean it has discoverable recipes.
Tiny Claws are used to make some insignias, so you do have recipes that use them.
Basic tier armour crafting has 6 different types of insignia, and 6 different armour pieces, these are where most of your discoveries come from.
There are also runes, but these are a bit more mixed up as to what items combine.
Yes would also like a specific option so they know it is an actual gold seller spam report, rather than a player who might be abusing the chat system.
At the moment I seem to be reporting a few of the same people 2 days running, and any help they can get to prioritise banning must be a good thing.
Do you have 10 undeleted mails in your inbox?
NPC mails don’t add to this count so they would still come through.
An example is that I can’t “Discover” a filigreed amber jewel that I didn’t do when I was still on Copper, because the amber pebbles don’t appear any more.
Have you made sure to have the pebbles in your inventory?
They changed it so you can craft straight out of the collectables tab, but stuff needs to be on your person to show in the discovery pane.
I have had the same thing, intermittent mouse steering since the latest build.
Press right mouse button down, move mouse and the pointer just moves across screen.
Checked forums, and didn’t see anyone else with this, so wasn’t sure if it was a dodgy micro switch issue.
Mine is also a Razer Naga, on Win 7 64 Premium.

This is a bug. I have the problem with both walnuts and tangy seasoning. In the case of walnuts, I’m trying
to discover the recipe here http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Walnut_Sticky_BreadMy cooking skill is high enough for the recipe and I haven’t already discovered it, nor was it auto-learned. The walnuts and tangy seasoning don’t show up in the discovery pane and none of my pre-discovered recipes use these ingredients.
I think you missed a line of text on the wiki
The following recipe must be learned from a Recipe Sheet from Lionguard Auda before it is available.
That isn’t one you discover.
Same, guess a hamster had a heart attack
