Thank you for this post! I’ve been wracking my brains trying all the fixes posted on the net to no avail. only this has fixed it.

Just one minor thing, not really an issue. Mumble now says there’s a newer Snapshot version. Will the one who recompiled it keep recompiling newer snapshot versions until Mumble Devs have fully implemented it in a future release?

Taking Screenshots make Framerates Unplayable

This has happened more than twice now.

So I’m in-game, everything’s good, then i decide to take screenshots since the scenery is just awesome.

1st screenshot, everything’s good.
Same with the 2nd screenshot.
On the third screenshot, the game freezes for a second or two, and then the framerate drops down to unplayable levels. My character actually moves a frame at a time, it’s like super-slomo!

Restarting the client does not fix the issue. When i do restart the client and go in-game, it still gives me a framerate of 13 fps. A restart of the machine is needed to get the game running well again.

I have tried searching google and the forums for anything that matches the terms “framerate drop screenshot” but i have not found any, so i’m wondering if any of you guys experience it as well?

Here are my specs:

Intel Core i5-3470
MSI Z77MA-G45
8GB RAM (2×4GB Corsair Vengeance PC3-10700H with XMP 1.2)
Radeon HD 7770
WD 1TB Black

Drivers in use are ATI Catalyst 13.2 Beta 5.

The issue has happened before i used the Beta 5 drivers, so it is likely not the Catalyst Beta 5 drivers.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I also seem to be getting this issue suddenly today. I never had this issue a few hours ago, and suddenly i keep getting a client disconnected error like those above me has described.

Also getting lag after the 12-12-12 update. I never experienced this lag before the update was made.

They should really look into this.

Glad this thread was opened.

I bought the game within the free trial period, and now i wish i’d waited a little longer. I hope they give us a little leeway and upgrade those who bought at standard price.

We could’ve gotten the DDE.
