Toughness doesn’t counter power…
Toughness and power are equivalent to each other.
Toughness is better for extended fights against power than vitality because it technically boosts the effectiveness of your healing against power.
Vitality is straight up better for your EHP on every single class except for potentially Necromancer because they have such a high base HP and the low armor class. That said, Vitality is FAR from wasted on Necromancers because it raises EHP against conditions as well as power while also helping their shroud’s EHP against both and since shroud fills based on a percentage, Vitality also increases “healing” effectively for them. That said, if you are going for a tanky Necromancer build I would throw on a piece or two of Cavalier instead of all Valkyrie just to get an effective ~10% boost to your direct damage EHP. It’s less important when you have ascended gear because it gives more armor to begin with, but Necros do have that awesome Toughness→power trait now..
ENDRANT
tl;dr: No stat counters another stat, technically speaking. There’s just stats that are objectively more efficient than other stats. Healing Power is objectively bad. Vitality is better than toughness for overall EHP but can fall behind in long fights without many conditions (never actually happens).
So I don’t know the code and I don’t know the potential for complications and conflict. BUT! I think that now that we have Action Camera and Gliding it is only logical we should be able to use skills while in the air if they do not require you to channel in place.
There are times when I am gliding and I drop down to fight an enemy only to find I have to wait until I hit the ground in order to swing my sword.
I want to swing my sword and I want to swing it again. Wouldn’t that be great?
I’m dead serious, this is such a small issue but it is really damaging to the feel of the gameplay.
Any suggestions/addendums/feedback?
I just found this place! I couldn’t figure out what to do, so a quick google search found me this thread! thanks haha
The story chapter is bugged and unpossible to complete. In the first room where you have to use the altar to spawn the enemy, nothing happens when you interact and there is no option to “press the switch” that it talks about. I can swim around in the room, there’s no enemies left, nothing.
I would love to have an Ironwing Flatbow in GW2! Really though, I want a Runic Blade. (Infinite Light without the particles)
Alright then I will continue my work! Thank you.
So…I’m sure there are others like me out there, but I have parts of my legendary crafted already, and with the upcoming legendary changes I worry that all my progress will vanish due to the crafting method changing.
I know my progress is probably nothing compared to some people out there, but losing it all would suck. I guess what I’m saying is: are old Legendaries going to keep their current recipes or are “Gift” items going to be disassemblable? I’ve spent a lot of time, gold, karma, and god knows what else to get here and I want to know if I should continue toward crafting my legendary or if I should just cut my losses, considering I probably won’t even be done by HoT?
