Good news guys they implemented the account bound now guys we can now open our chests. Big thanks to those who up voted and commented and to the devs that shown interest and helped in this issue

I suppose so…….. I’m just a lil craggy because just got in from a training exercise and I felt things tend to not get fixed when asked about x) I know it’s hard work for the devs etc we’re all just low in morale in the guild from it. Nvm I guess I could just buy more when I got the money x)

I knew I shouldn’t have bothered, have rarely seen support fix anything between myself or my guild

I’ve been a long time player of gw 1&2 beta played bothe and continually played both from release I grew a large guild in 1 and brought them over to 2 me myself will feel disappointed if anet break down and incorporate mounts I feel they will lose a large part of what gw is about, and my 60+ guild agree. The notion to have them with in a game such as this is crazy. I agree on some points that have been made however the wp situation is stupid as 60% of the world goes untracked after map completion, there are items in the gem store that give “advantages” but not over other players. Cosmetic purchases should stay at that, cosmetic but I would feel the game would lose a lot of itself they they have mounts running around and the problems it would cause in game to implement it, your talking a massive game change. I guess we all have our opinions. If we are to have such a change and get mounts then we should have our guild halls back or at least a more player friendly “home”

Great a answer that instills hope))) I wasn’t thinking I wanted just mine changing though it would help I hope it becomes account bound in game for everyone as It will stop the confusion and I’ve seen and heard many a grumble about it many thanks I can sit I quiet and hope now)(

This seems like a massive problem within this community even myself I have placed a ticket in for this issue I spent rl money for keys to find the chests I unlocked where SOULBOUND to a character I enrolled without knowing this… And it seems the replies form the support are that I just have to put up with it as “this situation cannot be resolved” pffft it’s stupid.

So I bought 5 black Lion Keys with gems from the gem store and used it to unlock the BL chests. After unlocking it, I realize I didn’t want to use it at the time since it’d be better to wait until a promotion was out, like now with the Lovestruck skins. Over the course of time, I forgot that I used the keys from a character I rerolled, so now I no longer have access to the unlocked chest, even though I paid gems for it. This was the response I got from support.

We understand you would like to open some unlocked Black Lions chest that show as soulbound. Although we are aware you’ve tried with all your characters to claim them, keep in mind that any items that were soulbound to a deleted character will remain like that. Most likely this is the reason why you are not able to claim these Black Lions Chest.
I’m very sorry that we were not able to do more for you this time and I thank you for your patience and understanding.

Can you at least turn those Unlocked BL chests into 5 BL keys again so I can make use of it? That’s 450 gems wasted!

do you not see how stupid this is? a norn ride a dolyak a charr ride a chopper -_-, my characters are norn and i would not want to see one ride a kitten dolyak and even if they intrigated that into the game im not paying gems to ride a ugly fat dolyak even if you can “customize” it by giving it a purple dye etc its stupid….. just enjoy the kitten game and stop whinging about mounts that wouldnt even play right in the game its silly nonsense

this is possibly the stupidest idea i have read for this game from the get go guild wars 1&2 have been like no other MMO because they dont follow the typical grind of MMO’s no we dont need mounts because all the others do im sick of either having to defend this game to the same typical WOW players and im sick of seeing that we need to follow the same route as WOW and mounts etc its a different game you want mounts go back to WOW you want the same repeated MMO go play WOW and AION and the multiple different names for the same game,…. the game runs fine without them and i probably would lose alot of respect for the dev team if they try to incorparate them there is nothing in game lore or otherwise that suggests moutns are needed however there is a whole backlog of lore on the portals its stupid and im sick of reading the same chidish posts about it…..

its about my black lion chests being soul bound to a deleted character not knowinlgy that they were soul bound not account bound i spent alot of money on them and i dont want a refund just to be able to open them #335892 ive checked all my inbox also had no replies as of yet

aye i got a ticket and hopefully this can get rectified best case scenario they change the chests to account bound over all

Agreed it wouldn’t affect or unbalance anything in the game making it account bound nothing at all it simply is just a pain in the backside x) one that I happened to stumble on haha

You kidding I bought the keys on my lvl 32 thief and unlocked the chests but I don’t have big bags on my thief but I do my main so I put them I’m the bank when I logged out to go on my main I thought sod it i don’t like my thief ill delete while here then logged in to my main and sat in horror as it all sank in

Turns out I didn’t put a ticket in it was a bug report where do I put a ticket in?

I have sent one five days ago nothing back I guess it’s a small issue for them but making them only SOULBOUND is a little stupid

I’ve tried support I suppose they are laughing at me behind those screens I’m sure they think ill just buy more, it is the anet way. Not a single reply and I can see how it’s funny from the outside looking in I’m sure I’d be laughing my kitten off too x) but I feel like crying hahaha that day I lost motivation for the game I’m playing again after a week but hey can’t win them all I guess

I managed to get 40 chests and keys together buying swapping gold etc and unlocked them put them in my bank not know they were SOULBOUND and deleted the character as I didn’t enjoy it not knowing that they were SOULBOUND and now I have unlocked chests laughing at me and tuanting me every time I open my bank who’s stupid kitten idea was it to have them SOULBOUND!!!!!! In the first place I want to cry
