I stopped playing quite a while ago (maybe 6 months) and before I did I bought a commander tag for the fun of it. I logged in this week too get back into the game and see what has changed, but for some reason I no longer have a commander tag.
I have read that now it’s account wide but for some reason mine seems to have been deleted from my account. I can’t create a commander with any of my characters.
Has anyone experienced this problem? I have contacted support but no response so far.
I might start with Zerk trinkets first and see how much that helps get some damage. If I just search Berserker’s in the TP would that be the quickest way of getting some or if there something else I should be searching for?
Thanks for the suggestions, gives me some things to try and and see what I can survive with.
What should I do with my dungeon knight’s gear seeing as I can’t sell it on the trading post? Seems like a bit of a waste to get rid of it after all that effort running the same dungeon to get it.
So I have been running the general 0/0/30/30/10 build with knights gear just doing dungeons and fractals. At them moment I just run with a GS and scepter/shield and do very little damage, say around 3k after a chain of hits.
How can I change up my build to keep the survivability so I can protect the team with shields but also be able to contribute with a good amount of damage myself.
At them moment I’m mainly unsure what traits and specs I should looks at, trinket stats and the sort of food I should craft and use.
TIA
People are over-thinking this way too much and trying to come up with unwarranted nonsense

I actually agree with the OP. New content every 2 weeks is too rapid, especially if it’s only temporary. I’d rather have new permanent content added every 2 months.
You have read that there will be permanent content right? Straight from the horses mouth.
I’m assuming most people here watch TV and have a series they like to watch. I’m sure no one complains when there is a new episode every week.
By having a rotation of teams working on the content each team will have more than just 2 weeks to iron out all the bugs from their content
I think this is excellent news. How can new content releases every 2 weeks be anything but good. No developers in the world are this dedicated to their games after release.
If they can start adding new events to areas and make it much more dynamic rather than the same 3 events repeated over and over this would add so much more to the PvE world and actually make it exciting to go and defend an area, etc.
5. Fun vs. Time
Killing ten rats is not fun. Nor is lighting 50 effigies, hitting 250 things, gathering 100,000 items, or any other form of grind. When players are given a limited window to complete tasks, it can be frustrating if the tasks require large amounts of time.
I could probably go on, but for me, I have finally hit a point where the Living Story has demanded so much of me in such a short time, that my frustration level has peaked. What was once a fun experience has become a desperate attempt to keep up.
As I mentioned in another post, this current story arch will more than likely be the first time I don’t complete the achievements or story. This realization has actually tweaked something in my brain, which has caused me to question whether I even care.
Video games are supposed to be fun. They aren’t supposed to be chores that we become addicted to, and enduce feelings of disappointment and guilt when they can’t be played.
I can agree with this as a casual player. If all they are going to do with this new content is make us grind ridiculous amount of boring content then the game will no longer be fun. I thought when the game was released that they were getting rid of the grind but I’m starting to see it make a comeback.
The same goes for leveling. 1-80 is painfully easy and this has been my biggest disappointment in GW2. I nearly quit the game a week after launch due to this fact but I found things to do and carried on (im glad I did). I see many people with 2/3/4/5+ characters all at 80 and I just cry inside….a game should not be this easy! This brings me onto an important point- every other MMO that ive played ive become very much immersed in. With GW2 it has and will always feel like a game with story segments. I dont feel anything special for the game because the immersion is so low.
Leveling isnt easy its just fast compared to most MMO’s because you don’t need to grind for a ridiculous amount of xp which becomes tedious and pointless. I guess immersions is a matter of opinion because i feel very immersed every time i enter a new area or fight a new boss. Its only hen you begin to repeat the area multiple times that it can lose its immersion
thanks for the tips think I am looking for a more dps build. I tried the more bunker type of build and couldn’t get far anyways when caught solo against a couple of others
I want to spec my ranger purely for wvvw running with a zerg and some survivability during 1v1 or at least enough to get away from 2v1 fights. What would be the ideal split of traits to maximize damage and some skills that would be the most useful. So far I have 20 marksman and 20 skirmish but not sure how to split up the remaining 30. Thanks

I just wish there was some kind of checkpoint
I have been selling a couple of items on TP to match highest buyer. However they coin has never come through??
Can anyone send what they are using for PvP with their mesmer? Trying to get a grasp on the class by far the most fun I have had confusing all of my enemies.
I really dislike the class Mesmer , Everyone knows they are to Overpowerd, And they can confuse you like nothing and just walk away. I think ArenaNet, Should NERF these characters abilitys because it is unfair. None of my characters can kill them…? I GUESS WE, ARE ALL GONNA BECOME A MESMER. You guys mest up there ArenaNet.
Trolls will be trolls, maybe you should actually pvp and see how most classes from ele to warrior can beat a mesmer and spend some time learning the class you want to play.
