You should not be forced to buy the traits, but you should not have to fail something first for it either. Better to change the way to obtain it. It should always be possible to get the traits. So make it with a champion, or something, that are separate and can (almost) always be done without the need of failing events and impossible to troll.
This sound awesome. But the tracking would be kinda pointless in PvE. Mobs seldom flee in PvE.
Crimson Mask
Stalwart Shoulders
Protean Coat
Flame Legion Gloves
Protean Leggings
Protean Boots
Will change it up a bit when Im at a higher lvl. Only at 23 atm with this Ranger.
Btw, this should be a sticky. And have a better title maybe.

I really like the changes. Except maybe the skillpoint kost for the new grandmaster traits. Feels a tiny bit too much cost. But be able to roam around Tyria and locking up traits takes me back to gw1 and the capture signet, when you had to capture certain skills. That is nice. And also that I have the possibility to roam around fighting as a Mad King Asura Overlord with my Mad King outfit. Dye option for the former tow clothes is a bit too resticted thou.
Hi.
I think there should be an option, a build possibility, to play Ranger without the pet.
I dont like the pet, I like the ranger. If you don’t like the pet, why did you make a ranger? That’s like saying “I like elementalists, but I hate those attunements they use!”
First, I have not made a ranger yet. And as others already said I like the theme of a ranger. Call of the nature, a kind of tracker/hunter class. Survival in the wilderness, a scout. But I want the option to play it without the pet as in gw1.
I dont think it as a elementalist with only fire. It may be like that now in the game.
Having pet as support are the best option for me at present time to get the play I want, but still.
What if I wanna roll a ranger without the pet and not as a thief or warrior? It was my favourite on gw1 to play ranger.
I only want the possibility. Maybe a survival build, lowish damage and high defence.
Anything, something that still makes having a pet a pro but makes stowing pets a less “no no”.
Hi.
I think there should be an option, a build possibility, to play Ranger without the pet.
I dont like the pet, I like the ranger. Why not make it a possibility to play ranger without pet without losing 30-50% of the rangers ability? Like stats will be added on to the ranger when you store the pet, and when you use the pet it “steals” the stats back. Pets are hard to manuver and I think that people would hate rangers less if there only were a possibility to play as a petless ranger. Maybe a petless ranger only looses a little % compared to a ranger with pet(if used right). As I said, let me play ranger without pet without being half a character.
Cantha is my favourite place in all of Tyria(planet). The most fun I had in GW1 was in Cantha. The human character I’ve made in GW2 is (in my mind) related to my character from Factions.
Rytlock are my favourite character. The mighty charr.
I deleted my first character that i got several months ago, nearly 1 year ago.
Bobbleheads is the best thing ever!
Amazing pictures! Wow.
The loadingscreen and character selection image is very nicely done. Almost looks legit. An okay april joke.
You know, there were a portal that you could use to get to Scarlet without fighting the knights or holograms. Near the gate in the tenguwall. You could do the story without raid.
Charr has owned ascalonian lands a long time before humans even appeard in Tyria and have lived there longer than humans. They have a deeper connection to the land and was forced away.
And because they are a war race they had to take it back, victory at any cost. Take back the land that is their own, and while their at it, destroy the kittens that took it from them. King Adelbern was a grumpy old man that rather saw his people die as ghost rather then let Ascalon be a charr territory, too much pride.
So Ascalon turned to a ghost city, and when Charr pushed towards orr someone sank the whole city. So there are to events caused by humans that struck humans the hardest. And ofcourse would todays humans in krytan not care about ascalon, such a mixure of so many descents and so small in numbers. They only want to survive were they are. And most of the “true” ascalonian humans are in Ebonhawk.
I think it’s a to small amount of different armors that you can buy from vendors. All is the same everywere. Not have super-awesome armor at the vendor but atleast make it so some areas got armorsmiths with a different looking armor. Not only the dungeons and karma-armor and cultural.
