Having the same problem. I seem to be able to chat in only one guild’s /g chat, but when I represent another guild, any messages I write in the second guild’s chat, appears in the first guild’s chat. Turning invis and then online doesn’t appear to work. Any solution for this?

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but my game sometimes crashes when I speak with any of the merchants (bank dude, trading post dude, repair dude or any other kind of npc dudes) in WvW. Just by clicking F makes the game crash. This has happened in pretty much all the borderlands and EB. I am on Blackgate server.

How do I get this thread closed? I don’t want this thread to turn into an inflammatory thread against EMP.

Pictures speak a thousand words. They are scouting for when we launch our golem rush.

Having magic find affecting the loots will cause people to only group up with others who are wearing magic find gears. Given that most magic find comes with stats like power and precision, everyone will be running a glass cannon build in dungeons. This is not balanced.

This is how a guild should recruit:

Tell the PUGs to stay away, they keep following you. Tell the PUGs to not join the guild, they join the guild. Tell the PUGs to not attack, they attack (muhahaha, that’s exactly what we wanted – them to rush in).

Thanks Gaile for getting back to me. I did try to do that using the Ask a question tab but when I press submit, it just doesn’t submit. the cursor keeps circling for hours and just won’t submit. That’s why I posted it in the forums to get some attention. Also, its been over a week now and I still can’t purchase anything.

Yeah I know that you have those elite skills of transforming into any one of the four animals but how do you get those icons under your name of all 4 animals at once like how it is in the image.

So how do you get those blessings?

I tried doing this in the Support page but it just won’t submit. The circle keeps rotating on the submit button but it just doesnt submit. So I am resorting to posting it in the forums.

About two days ago, I purchased several gems. On my third purchase, I received a Card Verification failed message. So i decided to do it again and ensured that all my details are correct (also made sure I didnt reach my credit card limit). But still kept getting the same messages. Been trying for about two days now with no luck. Also checked my bank account and I have not been charged while getting the error messages. Would appreciate the help to look into this. The details I put in are correct and I have checked them countless times.

I encountered both those bugs. Bug 1 countless times. Bug 2 – oh man, dont get me started. after spending days and atleast 4-5 hours each day, I finally reached the top and guess what, bug 2 hits me (i did jump at the right time and all).

about 4 hours on saturday and another 4 hours on sunday trying this jumping puzzle and still haven’t made it. But I am liking the challenge because I know its do-able. Everytime I try, I tell myself I’ll complete it this time.

And ofcourse the biggest complain is that I can’t see anything with all the charr and norn blocking the view. Thank goodness this JP doesnt count towards the halloween achievement.

Okay this may sound like a troll post, but I dont care. There are two things that I want to give my opinion on:

1) Mesmer portals – this is not a hack. If mesmers have this ability and if ANET is not nerfing it, then why the hell aren’t you complainers using this to your strategic advantage. WvWvW is meant to be a game of creativity, fun and awesome tactics. So stop complaining and come up with creative strategies that does not involve hack.

2) Orb hacks – don’t blame the entire server for one person’s action. If you see someone hacking, then get that person’s details down. Report to ANET using in-game features, which takes 10 seconds to do. Hell even tell others nearby to report that person to bolster the case. But DO NOT accuse the entire server as cheats, frauds or hackers. If the hacker is from a certain guild, report the hacker to the leader of that guild.

Now this topic is meant to be friendly and for score updates. Lets keep it that way.

I thought I’d start this thread for people to post all the different halloween events and stuff that can be done. Not sure if someone has started it already. If so, do post the link and I’ll try to close this thread.

So as starters I know of the following events so far:

• Scavenger Hunt (starting at LA)

• Dredgehaunt Cliff – a sort of mini dungeon (can be a bit of a pain)

• Fireheart Rise – again another sort of mini dungeon. I loved the art of the very last room and the different portals that you had to go through to get there.

I am very curious to know where the haunted doors (or portals) are in Tyria and also of any other events or stuff to do. Also would appreciate if someone told me how I can complete the various different achievements under the Special Events category.

I think what the original poster is trying to say is that in our Achievements list (accessible through the Hero page), the overall Halloween achivements is not moving. Not the DE one at LA. The DE one at LA wont be 100% until all the four acts are completed.

In relation to the achievements, I have been having the same issue. I got several achievements yesterday night but nothing seemed to be completed. I am guessing its a bug and will hopefully get fixed soon. Its still fun to get unlisted achievements.

I completed mine in about 2 hours by running around the different maps in WvWvW. It also helped that our server literally dominates all of the WvWvW maps.

My understanding, from reading other posts in the forum, is that, the timer will be 100% complete at the very end of all the Halloween events (which is 2 Nov or something). Until then, the timer is progressing slowly. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I just loved how we destroyed their zerg with our small group of naked army.

If you’re talking from around 10 pm PST to 12 am PST last night when we were taking supply camps and Mendon’s tower, etc. That was a pretty terrible time. 3 to 5 FA people take a camp/tower….20 to 40 BG people show up. Every time you saw a lone BG person, you knew you had to run cuz you knew the zerg would be heading over asap. Purty awesome.

I was talking about 3-6am PDT on 18 Oct.

COF Path 1 with a decent PUG group (people who actually listen) – 15-18 mins. With more experienced players, 12 mins (this was my fastest). These times are without any exploits of any kind and based on all party members being level 80. (Dont know about the gears, whether they are all exotics or not).

Lorthos (aka “Bruce Wayne”), currently at Blackgate, from TDA guild. Most fun I have had was under him.

Reasons – a mind full of great tactics and a helluva lot of different tactics (none of those zerg only ideas); knows the maps like the back of his hand (every hidden secrets); light hearted and humourous, and most importantly he communicates very often, which I found lacking in alot of other commanders.

So if you ever face against Lorthos and his TDA army, either run away or put up a challenge that no one can forget.

Just a note, if the Twinbros vs Others discussion goes on for much longer, then I have a feeling that this thread will be locked down. Just saying it in a friendly way, no attack to anyone.

Yeah, I was in one of the golems. Was pretty fun.

Lol @ Bruce Wayne. He is the best commander I have battled under so far. Mainly because of his light heartedness, his awesome tactics and he communicates very frequently in the map and guild chats.

Tarnished Coast won’t give up. We never have in any of the previous matchups, and we look at each week as an opportunity to learn more and improve. Already this week we have learned a lot about how higher ranking servers respond and move around. Looking forward to the rest of the week actually regardless of the score.

While I agree with the sentiment that we’ve got a good thing going on TC and definitely “punch above our weight class” to some degree…

Saturday late AM on TCBL there wasn’t a whole lot to learn about tactics or strategy besides “50 beats 10”, “2 trebuchet and 2 catapult and a golem can take down a tower with no upgrades really fast” and “It’s hard to mount a siege against a fully upgraded keep when you can barely even keep one single supply camp for more than 2-3 minutes at a time.” There aren’t exactly a lot of advanced concepts you can learn when the enemy is just bludgeoning you with sheer numbers and ridiculous amounts of equipment.

I’ve also seen a great deal more bickering and loss of morale than previously and I had already observed, seeing the writing on the wall from last night, that this would be a make-or-break week for TC since it is our 2nd week facing a server that can hold 50%+ in prime and 90%+ overnight and our 3rd week facing a server that has overnight presence (we managed to hold 1st against SoS, however, so that probably helped more than hurt). Come Monday or Tuesday, we’ll see if the enthusiasm stays high, definitely a real gut-check for us. We still had something to scrape and fight for last week in terms of clawing our way back to a “respectable 2nd place finish” from behind. I’m not sure this week is shaping up in the same way, so far.

It is not a fair matchup that BG, with the recent transfers of w3 focused guilds, got pitted against TC and FA. But we are trying to move up the tier. Hope you guys don’t lose morale and that next week onwards the matchups are more fair. In my earlier post I mentioned that you guys are putting up a challenge. Orchis also mentioned that our wins are not coming easy, that we have to work for it, to which I strongly agree. We spent about 1.5 hours yesterday just to get a single overlook in EB, if this tells you anything about the great work other servers are putting in. Hope it stays this way for the rest of the week. Even better, team up FA and TC and give us a greater resistance.

I thought I’d jump in on this thread. I am in BG with the TDA guild. Although BG is pretty much dominating this match so far, I am still having fun. This is because FA and TC are putting up a great fight where they can, despite our overwhelming presence. I hope you guys keep it up and continue providing the challenge for the rest of the week.

Came across this very funny incident yesterday, where an invader (forgot which server) saw our zerg coming and instead of running away, he danced and allowed us to kill him. Whoever you are, thanks for the great laugh. Hope your repair cost wasn’t high.

On another note, noticed a lot of bots from the other servers. Hope the real players in the other servers report any bots that you find. (Thanks for the free badges of honor though)
