GTX 680 FTW+ FPS @ 2560 x 1600 Full Detail?

OP, just for reference, since I have a very similar system to the one you currently have, I think you might be interested in my results.

I’m running GW2 at a 2560×1600 resolution (30" monitor), with a 3770k at 5.2Ghz, and a GTX 680 with a core speed of 1200 Mhz.

In my experience, when the CPU clock speed is raised from 5.2Ghz to 5.3Ghz the FPS doesn’t change at all, there is no performance increase.
Also, when the core speed of the GTX 680 was raised from 1200 Mhz to 1600 Mhz the maximum framerate increased overall, but the minimum framerate did not increase by a large margin in graphically intense scenes such as WvW. However, the minimum framerate in a zerg versus zerg moment is still 30 FPS and upwards. These results suggest that while SLI will yield some performance increase. However, due to the way SLI is implemented in GW2, it will not give you a much better gaming experience than using only one GTX 680 to power your 30" monitor (i.e. microstuttering, sub-par scaling).

In my specific graphic settings I have Reflections set to none, and Shadows set to low. This will give a nice boost to your minimum framerates, while the image quality is practically the same to best appearance.

My CPU is cooled by a phase change unit with an evaporator temp of -40C, this allows for the CPU to attain speeds as high as 5.3 Ghz in GW2. Also, the test with the GTX 680 at a core speed of 1600 Mhz was done with a second phase change unit.

In the clip posted below you can see the system running at 5.2 Ghz CPU speed, and 1600 Mhz GPU speed. The clip was made in Divinity’s Reach, and the graphics were set to ‘best appearance’ without further adjustments made to it; this will make it possible for you to compare my framerate with your own.

If you have the money, I would personally invest it in a fast card with 1 GPU (e.g. the upcomming Geforce Titan) instead of choosing the GTX 680 in SLI.

Culling not Fixed

As someone with a really good computer, culling is next to non-existent for me in most situations and when I do have some it is when there are over 100+ players all in the same small area. The culling change is great and I hope ANet doesn’t revert it again. If you are having more problems now then before it is cause your computer is trash, the new system requires more resources on the player’s end which is fine cause my computer was not getting stressed by GW2 to begin with. It is about time ANet stopping programming for the lowest common denominator.

Well, I’m still experiencing culling after the update, eventhough my rig is also very good, which is very disheartning. The RAM cache in my system ensures the SSD does not pose a bottleneck. However, enemies are still being rendered way too late on my screen.

Intel i7-3770k @ 5.2GHz
MSI GTX 680 Lightning
16GB RAM @ 2400MHz
Game installed on SSD, with Fancy Cache (8200MB/s read, 1470MB/s write)
50 Mbit Internet

You need shards to create mystic clovers and to create the gift of mastery.

I’m also very interested to know where it is uncontested. Yesterday I was unfortunately half an hour to late for shards on desolation.

No rewards for Stonemist capture.

I experienced the same thing today for the 5th time (after a 2 hour siege). Getting no reward is bad enough, but not being able to progress with the title one gets from capturing Stone Mist is awful.
