No dice still screwed, at this point i’m giving up as constant hard restarts are going to kill my hard drive, if anyone finds a fix i would be glad to hear, likewise i’ll try with any major patches to announce if anything changes or it starts to work but at this point i’m just going to have to wait and see if anything changes.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions, unfortunately nothing i tried from the thread or elsewhere worked has worked so far. Since i last tried there has been 2 (small) GW patches and a Nvidia driver update that i will download and try to see if they change anything.

I ran into this issue for the first time last night, after having not played the game for a few months i played through a dungeon with a few friends and visited a number of areas in the game with no issues, however following this i went East to the Diessa Plateau for the first time and after entering the area a few minutes later my screen went black, i thought the game had minimized or crashed however it had actually stopped recognizing both of my monitors. There was no way i managed to get them to reconnect, restarting them both had no effect and reconnecting them to my GPU did nothing. Only by doing a hard restart of my PC can i get my screens to reconnect, my drivers are up to date and this is happening with no other games or programs only GW2.

I have tried playing the game a further two times and both instances have resulted in the same thing happening with my screens refusing to be detected again and a force restart of my PC being the only way to fix it. As i have no visuals post crash i do not know if i am getting any error reports or notifications to indicate what went wrong.

Running on windows 10 with a GTX 970.
