Update—turns out my fan(s) are broken. Seems like the computer is freezing the game in order to keep my computer from shutting down. So this is hardware rather than software. Thank you again for your help!

Also, my resting temp is about 55 degrees C!

Question 1: Yeah, I should have mentioned that. Something I’ve noticed since 4/30 is my system running hotter & the game taking much more CPU space (up to 160%), and only 10-30 percent of my system being idle. Granted both might be me noticing a reality that was already there previously, I don’t know. My system is running (according to SMC Fan Control) about 90 degrees C.

Hello Everyone!

Hoping someone might be able to help me out. Ever since the 4/30 update my FPS has been hovering at around 1-11. Previously, I had been getting about 30fps and had been playing fine. No hardware changes or anything else.

13-inch, Late 2011

Processor: 2.4Ghz Intel Core i5

Memory: 4GB DDR3

Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000

Software: Lion 10.7.5

I know this isn’t a top of the line gaming machine by any means, but it had been working pretty well previously. Has anyone else had a similar problem or a potential fix?
