I’ve had this problem too.
I belive because of something incompatabile with the select_directory window…
Odd solution:
1) create a folder for a game
2) put a Gw2Setup.exe in it
3) change its name to Gw2.exe
4) run
in my case it begun downloading files in current directory…

This fixed the installer for me

Just a quick question, is there any other legendary staves besides “The Bifrost”. I want to plan to get a legendary for my staff wielding Necro, but the rainbow looking staff doesn’t look good with my dark looking set.

I mean, they should of given much variety to staff users like they did with greatswords: Sunrise, and Twilight just look amazing in the Beta and I haven’t seen Eternity yet. I hope their’s some staff that would give me a nerdgasm to drool over and want me to spend countless hours obtaining.

Things like that are very fun to me, but it’s not worth it if the only option is something rainbows..

When can we expect it? Or are we ever going to expect it?

Here is my thing. At the beginning I like my guy, I liked the look of him and everything, but as I started to level him even more and more I kind of stopped seeing the heroic side of him. As someone who likes the look of RP characters, I like like customizing good looking characters, but when I was going through My Story, I kept getting called Kid, or Young, BUT! I made my guy look like an old Norn. So now I’ve decided the old look has got to go and I want my guy to look Young and Heroic.

I’m not demanding a Race or Sex change, just want a new look for the character I have.

I’m trying to find a Guardian Build that mainly requires Greatswords. So far I’ve checked youtube any everywhere else and I couldn’t find an appropriate build nor can I theorycraft a good one on my own.

Don’t post things like “their are far more better weapons than a greatsword guardian” or “there’s no such thing as a good offensive guardian”, because I’ll just straight up ignore it. If anyone knows a build that worked really well please post it.

Is it just me, or is it just terrible?

Don’t get me wrong GW2 is (Excuse my language) F***ing Amazing, but when I saw the trailer I thought to myself “When people who are deciding to get this game see this… they are going to start making more options for MMO’s”

For people who loves this game as much as I do, do you have the same feeling for this trailer?

I’ve seen this basically from nearly every game review website “Guildwars 2 Thumbs Up” “Launch Trailer…. facepalm”.

I know ArenaNet put a lot of work into this, but all I want to say is HIRE A NEW DIRECTOR! The one who made this was not motivated at all, or literally had no idea what GW2 was about until the very end.

Seriously, I thought I was watching an advertisement of the perfect world
