DC severly limiting progress in HoT maps

This issue of a DC and me loosing up to two hours in the Tarir events(just happened) is something that needs to be fixed. I log back in and the only server I am allowed on is a silent server with 0% participation, other server full.

At the very least we need the participation to be tied to the zone rather than that instance of the zone. This would help if two people want to play together but have participation in different instances as well.

The better fix is to have a reconnect period where the user has a period of time to rejoin the instance without loosing their spot/participation.

Best fix is to add both.

I hope that this will be considered as it would greatly reduce frustrations. I am looking at trying the 64bit GW2 but a reconnect period is still needed to fix the underlying issue.

Where's the New Legendary Weapons?

Yeah needing like 2250 of those orbs/crests at 28 silver each sure hits your wallet. Imagine if they went up to 40 silver with the next batch.

This is the reason I am holding on building a Gen 2 legendary. ANet talked about making legendary weapons easier to get but the Gen 2 cost way more. I hope ANet will knock a zero off to bring these in line with Gen 1. Looking at trading post values, the orbs/crests have gone up nearly 10x since HoT launch.

Cantha was what brought me to the original Guild Wars and remained my favorite of the GW1 series. I would be super excited to see it again. I am not fully aware of the political tensions in Asia at the moment but I believe they can find an architecture theme that won’t be a problem but still hold the Factions style.

My prediction is that as the dragon that Scarlet awoke begins destroying Tyria, people will find a way to reconnect with Cantha and send refugees there from all the races. All the time we were away the Luxons and Kurzicks have been fighting but then find all of our races to be threats to their lands. We work with a remnant of the Luxons/Kurzicks that see us as people trying to help the refugees and begin building a temporary camp for the Tyrian people. Interesting plot ensues.

Narrative Lessons From 15 Months of Scarlet

Part of the development process is prioritization, so I’d like to know what you feel are the highest impact items you think would improve our storytelling delivery. What are your top three requests?

1. Explain more, sooner. For a number of months I didn’t even see a connection between the releases and watched a Twitch episode where I was told they would all connect visibly later on. I want to follow the story, keep surprises but let us know the main plot.

2. Follow already made lore. We want to go deeper, not wider. Since the first game people wanted to know more about the Mursaat rather than have Utopia(though I still want Utopia). We have dragons, the Nightmare Court and many other lore sections that can go deeper. I would have liked to see more of a connection with Scarlet being a evil Nightmare Court commander that starts using her influence to take over parts of the world and work with or have Inquest sub commanders to create (game fitting) inventions to wake the dragons.(My example to show similar storyline and conclusion but different theme.) As it was, she popped out of nowhere, controlled masses(Aetherblade, Watchwork, and Toxic) and somehow created 50ft tall robot puppets. I enjoyed a number of the patches but was sad that for the most part lore wise it just didn’t feel like it fit.

3. Write believable characters. It seemed Scarlet got more control of the world than Zhaitan at times and a number of the updates it seemed all the good in the world could barely hold it at bay. An evasive needle in somebodies side is more interesting than an over-powerful evil genius. Side-comment: One annoying thing in films/games is when the good/bad character stands talking to its enemy about everything under the sun before they kill them and thereby leaving time for the enemy to escape. Scarlet is down, jump at the opportunity to take her out.

Guild Wars has been one of my favorite games and I still play the original quite a bit. I have confidence that you will learn from the weaknesses in this last Season and make Season 2 much better.

Server: Stormbluff Isle
Guild: Blade And Rose [BaR]
Character: Natalie Black

I am in two guild but when I clicked unrepresent on BaR I was unable to represent either one of them. This is something I have never run into yet so hopefully it is a short term bug that can be fixed soon.

Since the security change today, I have had to authenticate every time I open my client, even if it was just a few minutes ago. My router isn’t disconnecting so I am not getting a new IP address and yet if I authenticate and exit the client then when I log back in it wants me to re authenticate again.

Please fix this issue, thanks.

EDIT: I had forgotten to check the remember this network, so make sure you check the box when validating.

Travel cost at higher lvls

I discussed this with my guild and we all agreed it was to expensive. As a result most of us walk to every location which is wasted time in my opinion.

Coming from the ability to move across Tyria, Cantha, and Elona in GW1 for FREE it is rather difficult to be paying 1-3 silver whenever you want to go join a friend in another zone.

Another negative is that when you die you are hit with a repair fee and a waypoint fee, hope this gets changed.
