Considering that releases are part of a “living story,” I can understand and appreciate the unskippable dialogue the first time through. Oftentimes during dungeon runs, I feel pressured by the group to skip through dialogue, even if I haven’t been able to experience it once.
That being said said, any subsequent repeats of a storyline should have a skip option. The dialogue never changes from the first to the tenth time, and it does become quite repetitive. Forced dialogue is great the first time around, but please add a skip option for repeats.
I’ve noticed from a large number of the community that they have been simply deleting their bloodstone dust and empyreal fragments. Given that these items were meant to be top tier crafting materials, it seems that their usefulness is too limited in scope. If you were to obtain something of value, your instinct shouldn’t be to throw it away due to lack of inventory space.
I propose that there needs to be an additional use for these items, or at the very least their addition to the account wallet. I’m sure many of you can contest to the number of alternative characters that they have piled up with stacks of bloodstone dust and empyreal fragments. That’s why there should be an additional outlet for them to be spent for, or for a larger storing capacity.
Welppp, they removed it from the wardrobe :/ I really hope they add in back it eventually, it was the only great sword that matched well with my warrior.
I wasn’t aware that the WvW season had ended, and was planning on completing the meta achievement. Is it too late to start to get the rewards for this season?
For the most part, I enjoy being able to earn my traits. It encourages people to explore content and gives a significant feeling of character progression as they level up. However, there was a major issue that many people have brought up.
Several traits require 100% completion of a certain map, which is fine. The issue however, is that an adept level trait, that a character can supposedly unlock at level 30, requires map completion of some areas that are well over their level (Frostgourge Sound, Sparkfly Fen, etc). I agree that higher leveled traits should require more effort, but traits should be attainable for the level they were designed to be made available for. I suggest changing the maps to either a) lower level maps across the board, which include Kessex Hills, Snowden Rifts, etc. or b) offer level appropriate bosses or events to complete based on that trait tier.
It was brought up that legendary materials would be included in the PvP reward tracks. Would it be possible to include silver doubloons as part of the rewards? Considering that component of The Juggernaut is almost, if not more, expensive than all the T6 materials combined together, I believe it would be appropriate to integrate a method that would have a more stable influx of them.
I’m having the same issue. Miasma didn’t reset, but citizen counter was working for me. However, even though we got to over 750 citizens saved, I never received any of the tiered loot (100, 500, 750)

Congrats! I will be guessing Eternity and Sunrise
I was disappointed with the size increase as well. It’s barely any noticeable difference compared to the shrinking from the dark chocolate. It would be nice to have the white chocolate to be as large as the mystery box height increase.
It’s on sale right now
I do agree that it makes more sense that they added a rank requirement to it, given that a legendary was supposed to be somewhat a completionist item, and that you were supposed to have “mastered” all content.
However, what I dislike is the lack of communication of this by ArenaNet. There was no forewarning of this at all, and I believe players should be entitled to an important change to an item such as this.
I completely agree. If you look at the forum posting of the first Great Jungle Wurm defeat, you’ll see how many players complained about the awful loot they received. Perhaps something like a token system could be implemented for those who wanted the boss exclusive armor/weapons. That way players have at least some motivation to complete the events.
I’ve noticed that many returning players have complained about missing the past living story updates and feeling left behind. I have thought of a possible solution that would address this problem.
I propose that living world be updated in two parts: 1) The normal events that you see today 2) An additional personal storyline quest that would be added as part of the living story. These quests would have the same structure as the original personal storyline revolving around Zhaitan. Players would go to certain areas to activate an instance, where they would be allowed to go through a new story. For example, the current story would revolve around Scarlet, and the personal storyline instances would take players through the interactions with the Aetherblade, Molten Alliance, Clockwork chaos, etc. This will allow players to go through at their own pace, and for returning players to still able to catch up to the current story.
Further, a new tab would be added to the hero panel, under the “My Story” tab. Here, you can select from different stories to play through. For example, one personal story could be labeled “Zhaitan,” and would include all the personal storyline quests from that line. The next would be “Scarlet,” and include quests from that storyline. In addition, allow players to select from completed in the personal storyline and replay sections of their story. This way, players would be able to relive favorite parts of the storyline.
An additional option I was considering would be allow players who have completed the personal story to go back and make new decisions, so they would be able to experience the part of their personal story they were unable to the first time around. Although this does take away from the uniqueness of each character, this would enrich the players’ experiences by opening up the possibility to delve deeper into their personal storyline. As it is right now, players have long forgotten what had occurred in the original personal story, and after it’s been completed, have no reason to revisit it. Hopefully through these changes, Guild Wars 2 will be able to better immerse its population into the living world it offers.
For those looking for a good cloth armor on a Charr, this is what I got from hours of research

Hi Chris,
I know that this may not be possible, but what really kept me dedicated to GW1 was how versatile the build were. Overall, I have spent over 2,200 hours in that game! I would spend countless hours, reading through all the skills of every profession and creating unique builds, where all the skills would have synergy with one another. My all time favorite was a spin-off the common Necro-bomber from FA and JQ. I revised it to the point where I would still be able to spike down opponents in less than two seconds, but still be alive afterwards. The lack of ability to make such versatile builds was what I felt was lacking in GW2. I feel that even though there are many types of builds you can play within a class, the play style themselves are relatively the same. Realistically, I understand that having cross-class characters (Warrior/Monk, Ranger/Ritualist, etc.) would probably not be possible in GW2. Despite this, I find myself wishing that at the very least, I would love to have multiple options for the weapon skills.
Many of my friends that I got to play Guild Wars 2 with me have quit because they felt there was absolutely no character progression at early levels due to lack of gaining new skills as they leveled up. As they gained more levels, that they didn’t feel any “stronger,” and that it was boring to use the same skills over and over again from level 1. They got bored of how repetitive the game play was, and after every level, it was doing the same thing over again. Although you gain slot skills, my friends said that they were more of a utility skill that felt very minor. If there was more progression with the weapon skills, I believe that would address the lack of “feeling” of character progression that many people experience.
On a good note, I love the aesthetic gear grind that is in GW2. Getting the best gear remains to be relatively simple, although time consuming. I love how I can focus on getting my characters the best looking armor rather than grinding for gear to be have the best DPS. However, I still miss being able to dye my weapon. There are a ton of weapons that I love the skin of, but the color clashes with my armor, so I would have to forget about it and look for something else. I even ended up crafting two ascended mace, just so I could get the right color I wanted. This goes to show how crucial color coordination is to me, and that I’m left disappointed that I have such a limited array of weapons skins I can choose from, simply because of color scheme.
The last point I wanted to bring up was end game content. I’m at the point where I’m ready to start working on getting my legendary weapon, but I feel unmotivated due to how far away the end goal seems to me. The minor parts aren’t necessary an issue for me, such as getting the crafting to 400, gaining enough skill points, getting world completion, etc. The way I see it, is that even if I work really hard and finish those goals, the precursor weapon is so expensive that it would take an immense amount of time simply gold farming just to buy it. I know that crafting your own precursor weapon is in the works of being implemented, but hopefully this anecdote will give it a push for it to be worked on sooner
Overall, I believe the state of the game is going well. Although there are a few points that need some improvement, all of you at Arenanet are doing a great job. Your involvement within the GW2 community is commendable and I’m glad that I’m able to express my opinions and know that it will be seen. Keep up the good work everyone!
P.S. I love the idea of an Armor Wardrobe, and am very excited to see that it’s a well received idea!

Any update on when we can start redeeming codes again? The maintenance should have ended about 50 mins ago.
8/10 I enjoyed the back story and Mercykiller has a nice ring to it.
My Charr’s name is Khan Ur, direct descendent of the original primus imperator.
Is there any specific reason I should start maxing crafting on my main lv80, or would it be fine to use it to level my side characters? I just wanted to make sure there’s no specific soulbound on acquire limitations that would prevent me from using the benefits on my main.

I’m coming up with a WvW well build for my necro. I’m fairly new to pvp, so I’d greatly appreciate any advise you have. I mainly plan on running around in giant zerg groups.

Also, if you have any suggestions on what type of armor/accessories/sigils/runes I should get, please post them. Thanks!
I somehow got into Fort Aspenwood. I do hope it has a better PVE presence. Thanks for the advice and I’ll check them out if this world doens’t end up working out
17 Full servers ATM. Im on SoR server and i see people on lower level area’s all the time and Orr is just pact. . . i destroys my heart when people say the gw2 is dead ITS NOT dead!
It really depends on your sever. I LOVE gw2, but I’m on Eredon Terrace and it IS almost dead over here. I really do wish to continue playing, but it just makes me feel lonely when I’m stuck on a server no one is on. Also, its next to impossible to transfer to a world that is full.
It’s full as well T____T Does anyone know if the “full” servers ever free up?
Unfortunately that server is full
I really do wish to play, but there’s no one to do dynamic events with, so it almost impossible to complete. Is there any high populated servers that have a decent amount of people, or are you all facing similar issues?
I’ve been losing my drive to play anymore. I love gw2 and everything, but whenever I’m walking around, I barely run into more than 5 people over the course of the hour in the Straits of Devastation. I’m thinking of transferring to a more populated server, does anyone know which is the best to move to? I currently reside in Eredon Terrace.
I’d suggest an elementalist. The warrior’s skill kit has a lot of combo effects, but almost no fields. Elementalist is the opposite, mostly combo fields with little effects to activate them.
I was trying it out with the axe/mace and mace/axe build before, but it just felt too slow for my liking. I loved the defensive capabilities of mace/axe, but the auto attack was too slow, especially when dealing with mobs. As for axe/mace, it was decent, but I couldn’t get past axe 5, the adrenaline gaining ability was just too good to pass up .
I was going along the lines of dual axe, or axe/mace combined with a rifle for PVE. All I’m aiming for is a self reliant highish dps. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what I could do to improve the build?

Hmmm I was just thinking about the same thing. Could you suggest a trait build that would work well for a dual axe/rifle + shouts build?
