Simple idea. If you block someone you no longer see their commander icons aswell. I usually don’t remember names of… “bad” commanders but it would be great that if i block them i would no longer have to see their presence on my minimap.

Heya, can anyone tell me when or what guild is killing Tequatl in EU these days?
The interest in Tequ is waning these days so before its completely abandoned i would love to kill it few more times.
Simple problem is that condies are applies instantly and in great numbers, unlike condi removal skills that remove 2-3 conditions with ~40 sec cool down. So naturally that for the time being condies are the best killing tool in game. You don’t even have to spam here, you just watch things die.
Now i dont remember who is the idiot in anet who said that the current pvp is the most balanced its ever been so far but that’s just delusional.
Still funny though, necros (and warriors) were the laughing stock of pvp community just couple of months back. Guess no one’s laughing now.
While you probably have a long term plan for home instances (as currently they are useless) I would like to suggest granting players ability to zone to they’r home instance or home city with reduced charge (or for free ) You have made great cities that are mostly devoid of player (and home instances that are fully devoid of players) since everyone is using Lion’s Arch. While its nice to see at least one city full of life. Going to the same one every time you want to unload your bags because its the place most efficient to get to is a waste considering how grand other cities are as well.
Something like that would bring some life back to the cities long forgotten, and seeing, for example, more Norn running around Hoelbrak since its their home city would help with immersion.

I have to agree sadly, I wont go into the past “Arcs” since many valid complaints were made already. But the future of it looks bleak.
Lets take the latest living story update for example. I’l even make it a small recap (may contain small spoilers)
You get mail (the most generic mail ever as if they don’t give a…) to come to a closing ceremony. You enter the instance, watch a cut scene were a side character gets more screen time that your character (well actually you get none). OK after its done you have a fight on your hands. Naturally you do the clean up duty while you have no idea what the “main” heroes are doing. After all baddies are done for you go to were the “heroes” have gathered an literally just stand there on stairs listening in how tough their life is and how important they are (again nobody really cares if you are there or even acknowledges your presence). Then one smart Charr has a great plan what to do next, the problem is she wont do it herself, nor anyone else for that matter. So here we go again, like a true hero with no pay or gratitude you go alone to take care of the problem for them. After few hours of running around the maps killing stuff you return to face the big bad villain. (Well her character has “flavor” I give you that) You enter the instance. You see two(and a half) heroes already waiting ready to kick butt. They politely ask you if your ready and once you are they follow you to battle. 3 min latter they decide they they are gonna stay behind to protect hostages you rescued (lazy kittens (cute)) So again you go alone to take care of everything. After the deed is done you see all the “heroes” gather again, they talk, complain, argue, brag or just being stupid… they story grows and continues and yours… well sidelines are your domain ‘sigh’
Well that’s the gist of it, this short instance actually shows the Anets whole take on “your” personal story. All you do is listen and watch npc characters grow and interact while all you do is watch and fight their fights for them. And as far as we know they are going to play and even bigger role and evolve. While your character…
You have a home instance that you never go to, rescued sister that you never see again, war band you gather to never be heard of again, Orders you join only to leave them few moments latter, dragons slayed that nobody really seem to care about etc.
It’s really not the personal story they so passionately advertised, and as its stands is one of the great things that could have been but just never happened.
Thank you guys. Using port 80 stopped disconnects. Sadly still having lag spikes though.
Never thought I’l have to post here but yeah since Thursday evening I started to get serious lags spikes and disconnects, and they been recurring ever since (late noon, evening time).
I first though it was my ISP, but now I doubt that since every other game/program i run that requires stable connection seems to work just fine.
I highly doubt anet will do anything about that, but seeing as I have had no such problems since launch makes me worry a bit.

New patch and lags gone instantly, guess it really was a problem on Anets side.

My bad… lags are much better but tried daily brawl… what can i say… unplayable.

Hello,
Today i did SE path 1 and noticed that Tazza (the last boss) no longer drops anything, did it a few time to confirm. I haven’t done this dungeon in a while so I’m not sure if it’s old news or not.
Can anyone clarify? Is it a bug or another silent neft?

I double that. There is a huge issue with disconnecting and at the moments fractals don’t forgive that.
It can easily be fixed if they added an option for a group to restart at the beginning of the fraction at which the player disconnected, and alow him to join back in as any other dungeon.
Or fix your end of connection, that also works.
Also, protip:
Arrow carts do more total DPS than catapults.

Really, though. Reading the entire front page of the forum only serves to make me believe that schools really are teaching kids to be entitled liberals. Nothing but cry after cry after cry! “I can’t win! I need you to make the game easier for me to win!”
Nobody looking to put in any of their own effort! Nobody looking shoot a catapult with another catapult. Just BAN catapults! Pathetic.

Anyhow. As been said there are counters to everything and this is countered in its own way. Finding a counter and using it is great. But as counters to counters grow and as the time goes by the wvw assault and defense will become pretty limited and boring (as if it wasn’t limited already). Few weeks later all of us will probably know the proper ram placements and if that will be countered then few weeks later rams will be considered as obsolete and just range equipment will be deployed afterwards etc.
Simply put. I just dont consider that firing at your own door to defend is fine as a mechanic. If its the only feasible option for the defense then there is something really wrong in wvw in general.
I see nothing wrong with it. All it is is another aoe effect. Instead of putting down rams, put down catapults to take down the gate. By your argument, if a catapult causes friendly fire, then why not a player’s? Why do I get hit by a ranger’s barrage and not the player I’m fighting? When a guardian blasts players back off the other side of gate, why doesn’t he give himself a concussion lol? When a zerg of 40 people are on a gate bashing it with their fists, why aren’t they cutting each other to pieces? How do you get 40 people on a gate with enough room to swing anyway? As long as there is a counter to it, it’s all good.
I would love all of that sadly its not that great of a game. Besides the trash will back stab me and i dont want that.
So we will stick with counters. Special ram placements, or just plain range assaults will become the norm. Just as intended by Anet.

The new (old) defense tactic is to use catapults to bombard your own gates from inside to keep the attackers (flame rams) from the gate.
That renders rams and any melee assaults useless. Besides the possibility to bombard your own gate to “defend” it just shouldn’t be there.
I believe that in WvW siege weapons should damage to friendly buildings (and even players). Now that would make for far more interesting tactics when using siege weapons. If your planing to bombard your own troops/garrisons as a form of defense there should be consequences.
