1) I’m casual player and I’m playing zerk gear because, even tho I’m casual I like to be challenged.

2) Who said it is a bad thing to die in dungeon, fractals, raid or from the simple mob for that matter, when Anet made spell that is used to get back you alive and your teammates that are again challenged to fight and revive a fallen ally. It’s a dynamic game with fast combat. Because I’m casual doesn’t mean that my 1 hour playtime won’t be spicy.

I’ve got some information about what you might need.
I’ve been playing gw2 on linux mint 18 for some time. Currently playing it on Elementary OS (linux) operating system.
Using POL ( play on linux ) program that runs with wine for making gw2 happen.
[here](http://www.gamersonlinux.com/forum/threads/guild-wars-2-guide.1566/) is a good link how to do it. ( I’m using newest wine version, 2.0-stagging ) and all the rest from tutorial is the same.
I got some older dual-core CPU so that makes my performance worst in some cases but I run game on ( 30 fps standard, 10 fps on high crowds, and 60+ fps in less populated places in game). If you have better CPU then this numbers goes higher except maybe for high crowded places ( events, etc. ).
Important thing if you maybe didn’t do before and that is to install drivers for graphics card otherwise linux uses default ones that are not even close compatible for playing gw2.
There is much more into it, but for now tell me if this helped you anything.

Secret barrels

So today I went to Chantry of Secrets, driven by achievements I need to get done. As usual I was jumping around and searching where can I fit through and find something new maybe ?! So while searching for some “cracks” in the wall I end up here, as you can see on the pictures. And after having a beautiful sight of a Grey sky and a peaceful moment just for myself, I have found out a secret stash from Order of Whispers ( barrels of beverage ). And as you can see from the picture, there is no way to see them except from my “behind the wall” perspective

So I am doing at this moment Story mode with 2 more random players in fighting against Mordremoth. I am kittened because I do this for the first time and after I died in the part where I need to fly I got teleported above action. And now like you can see from the picture below I am doing nothing and just watching the story, the gameplay because I am not skilled enough to be down below. And this goes on and on and I have time to write this tread because there is no way I can go down again unless my skilled teammates don’t die on purpose so I can play with them. Really fun and really interesting indeed. This is a bloody a game and I deserve to live and to get a chance to fight once again and defeat the evil and not sit there and drink coffee while others do the thing. Come on Arena net please tell me why is this like that that frustrates me so much after all stories I have been through ?

No one really cares about that. People do fractals for dailies and to farm items → gold. No one is playing fractals for fun or will play level 90-100 because they want challenge. People want money and if high level fractal doesn’t drop precursor or high amount of money people won’t do it. And I don’t wanna even start about 100+. Dungeons are dead, fractals are waiting the same fate.

Yeah, this is great idea. Because game is made around how much money you can spend on look better then on equipment. There is a reason why people call game Fashion Wars and I as many other players wants to look fabulous. This is one more way to ease people to change their appearance and to spend more in game gold and real money on game because they will see the result before they “must” buy it to make combinations of fashion ideas.

Yep same thing for me. I exit the game and when I back in, camera settings are set as I put them last time but camera is reseted on default settings.

Hello people, I have 174/175 discovered areas and I can’t found the last one. Although there’s 1 marked by the game that isn’t explored in which it’s impossible to me get into. Here is picture of it and someone already told me I don’t need that place but again game is showing it as unexplored.

I’m playing this game on my intel dual core procesor 2.9 Ghz, 8GB ram of which are mostly half used at the time and Nvidia GTX 650 graphics card. My graphics are set on “autodetect” mode that made it all medium low quality which is not that bad really. I usually got to 50 fps alone and like 10-20 fps in bigger groups. So after i stoped running you tube with game in same time I got now 80 fps alone and 30-40 fps in groups which is amazing. So if anyone is gaming on dual core processors be sure to have softwares updated, don’t run you tube and change thermal paste on your cpu for better cooling My cpu is btw running on 80% when I’m playing.

I just joined another sw map and then reset happened. Well it looks like it works

Half an hour ago there was daily reset ( I’ve got new daily chest ). And I went to do Silverwastes jumping puzzle which did not reset from day before. So I guess that jp’s have their own time when they reset. Is it a normal idea to be like that or is it a bug ?

I’m playing on SFR realm and I need only Eternal battleground map completion to have 100% world map completion. The problem is that whenever I come to eternal bg there’s always 1/2 us against enemies and all I can do there is go around saving our backs and defending close forts of ours not ever being able to come close or cap enemy ones. So is there a way to complete the map when there’s good commander and a lot of people on our side ?

So I’ve been thinking after I watched Gw2 HoT stream and about the things they’ve said. I can understand changes in PvP and WvW while they’re other world from PvE. But I got few things I would like to get answered from PvE side of new expansion.

1) All the things we’re getting in new expansion ( mastery system, specialization ) are they bound to the new Maguuma map or they’re viable all over the world ? example ~ If hunter becomes Druid, is he druid always or only in Maguuma map ? Same question goes for other things in brackets above.

2) How did you imagine your play time in PvE with new expansion ? We’ll get new map where all new content will be and people will enjoy farming there etc. What’s with the rest of the world ? Like every new patch when comes, all people gather on one place and rest of the world is becoming desert again.

3) There haven’t been said anything about the new dungeons and that type of content which is bad but oke (it’s my opinion ). So I’m wondering how it’s suppose to work ? Farming new map for a month, then get back to open world and start farming world bosses, speed farm dungeons, do fractals (-.-) etc.

It’s all good and fun in the trailer and in the story but try to look a bit in to the future. We’re suppose to be pleased with one map and content that’s mainly focused in that map. You can play a month, two maybe three of you’re really casual but at the end you’ll go back to old content and said, EH it could’ve been better. This is the point of view from person who’s playing PvE content and about Pve I’m talking about only.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m hyped but I can see bad things. I don’t want to happen like to every new patch that comes. Massive amount of people farm on one map, much lags, much dc’s, for a month and after that all goes the same it was before :/

I’m not on forum daily so maybe I missed something but in game I know I haven’t. I0m talking about ascended gear/weapon/accessories stuff which are useless if you wanna salvage them or do anything with it except wear it on your character. I know I can infuse accessories and that’s cool but that’ all about it. It would be really nice if Anet make them more useful in term of getting something when you destroy them. I know there have been topics about it but in game nothing changed so I’m writing about it again hoping something will happen.

Well there are 20 pages of reports that indicate high ping, lags and dc’s. According to that thread Anet is watching info from players and their problems and they’re “solving them”. So all I can do is wait and hope one day all this will be better. Thanks for the link anyway

Now and then I watch forum to see new threads, new ideas and improvements. After no stop reading threads and playing the game I can see as you can see that Anet doesn’t really give a thing about players opinion even if it’s good for game ( I’m not talking about expansions and things that are hard to make and hard to make them work good ). From all the ideas that players give that are good and I respect them, but Anet is not giving a thing about them so they are just staying there on forums and dying. While every one of us who’s playing the game is giving the Anet the life to exist and be competitive on market. Main idea behind this thread is to make servers stable ! Everyone can say and justify Anet that our computers are bad and we need to upgrade them so we can play the game in peace which is not always the truth. Game is made to be played with masses of people, that’ s why it’s called MMO ( massive multiplayer online ). Now get the idea from your experiences in the game how it’s to play it ? It disconnects you, it’s lagging and the most important thing is that you can’t like playing with massive number of players because you’re playing on 5-10 fps which is really bad. Yesterday I successfully did Tequatl and I heard person or two that got dc’ed minute before we finished him and they didn’t received any kind of reward and that is really the moment you loose your “thing”. I respect all the improvements that are suggested by others and I respect them but I think the main thing MMO must have is stable servers and then everything else. Now when I think about it, every one of us is already adjusted on this servers and Anet will leave them this way because it’s a 2 way road. In one way we can stay quiet and play on this bad servers or we can fight for what every one of us deserves and maybe make a change at the end. Anet won’t listen to us and forums on their page until all this info leaks out and others start to talk about the problem. It’s sad and ugly way that we believe our voice will be heard and respected. Game is live and running because of us and not vice versa !

This is in Kessex Hills, right-bottom corner of the map. I’m surprised how I haven’t seen this before and I ask myself why is there a flying castle in gw2 ? In the game you can’t fly, or go out from the borders of any map to explore something “hidden”. I don’t believe it’s “just there” because you can see it on the map and it’s pretty big. So does someone know what’s that all about ?

GW2 doesn’t need mounts. Every MMO I played with mounts they are a clunky mess that clogs up the screen with unnecessary particle effects.

So you’re trying to make a point ? You use mount to ride around and you will see other mounts riding around. You have shown me a picture of zoomed in part while killing some kind of champion. when you enter combat you dismount from a mount. And your point doesn’t even make sense because first 2 pictures you put there are alone players on mount compared to 10 people spaming spells.

Yes it’s idea from there because it’s nothing wrong with it. If you hate another game that’s your thing but I use it as an idea. I’m not magically saying things I invented. It’s all already in some games just Gw2 it’s not like other games and ok I understand that. But gw2 is more beautiful game and waypoints don’t make her revolutionary but just faster to travel. My main idea is to give people idea to enjoy more in environment of game not just brainless farming all day. People are talking all the time that game is getting boring to them and they only long in once a day to get daily. Any idea is good idea if it’s trying to get people more interested in game. I’m doing this to make myself more interested in playing as well to get something refreshing in the game except new story part which you end in 1 day and rest of the day you farm to get something good you can sell.

Carpet, broom and so on are not mounts I’m talking about and that are not things that gave you speed I said above so please stop saying that we have mounts. I understand about low fps for players because of low performance computers but this is just an idea. I know ArenaNet won’t even consider this idea even if I would very much like to. What mounts are you talking about ?

So I have to say something about it and it’s not trash talking to waste your time. I have seen that all this mounts topics are closed by GM because people are opening the idea and say nothing about it. I’m an person who wants mounts in the game and I have a reasons why I want them.

1) You can collect them

2) They will look epic and with gw2 engine in game it would be awesome experience to have and to ride them around the Tyria

3) You go and explore faster with your epic mount and it will be more enjoyable then running and porting around

4) For longer trips get birds that carry you around or even better, the ships that you see in the game. for example in the new map, in arah dungeon story mode (this is the answer for people who will say that’s boring to ride all day long)

5) gw2 is beautiful game and we go across it just porting on those waypoints, yeah so much epicness in that. You have loading screen with picture and that’s it

6) You can made diffrerent mounts speed for lower or bigger levels (60%) for lower and (100%) for higher levels

7) Mount can be shown as an effort you put in the game, something like legendarys. If you’re a hardcore player you will probably have some epic mount, much color, much epicness, much speed, much girls and so on

This were a few ideas I have in my mind at this moment. Probably I could come with something more but this is just for beginning. For all of you who agree or disagree on this I respect your opinion but if you don’t have nothing normal to say on this topic please don’t say anything ! No need for countless comments that don’t have solid opinion on this subject.

I use it when I’m playing with a friend on many different games and I haven’t had problems with it. There were a few cuts in speaking but me and my friend had a very simple internet speed so I’m not really sure it’s their fault.

That’s short walk through the building and few words about normal things they work. Real documentary is at least half an hour long and contains things I have written above.

So I have been thinking about the game, community, you tube and so on. I would really like that something happens, something like documentary about Arena net. I would really like everyone to see people behind the curtains and all of those ideas, from the start until this day. How everything became possible, how ideas came from ideas to reality and so on. I wanna to people who play or don’t play the game to see a story behind all this we got today. Because we got lore, stories, characters, people in general but the real story is placed in community because without community of developers and gamers nothing of this would be possible. Show the world what dreams driven you through to success and impediments you came across. People always blame others and can’t think rationally because they can’t see bigger picture. You need to show it to them. Show them what you have been through in which they can enjoy today. We are community and we need to act like one. You don’t know me and I don’t know you but if you respect me I will respect you !

So I just saw that on new map when you defend bases, while you’re fighting that some catapults are shooting at you. At the night that’ not problem but during the day you got red/orange floor and orange circles that show you where catapult is gonna shoot. Honestly you can’t see a thing and it’s a big problem because if you get hit by it you’re in instant down state. I know it’s not a bog bug but it’s pretty annoying

So i got one idea that you, the players will decide if it will be positive for you. When I used to play Wow on private server because I was still in high school and it was too expensive to pay it on my own to play on retail, private server GM’s had a great game called hide & seek. So basically the point of the game is to find the GM that is hidden somewhere in the PvE environment (on some map ) and you need to find it. Every few minutes the GM gives you more information where he might be but he will never tell you the exact place ( of course !, then it’s too easy ). I like this idea because when I explore maps while leveling I found more and more beautiful and interesting places that you can hide But the main reason I came with this idea that I saw for the first time few year ago, is because people love rewards and people don’t like exploring ( I’m not talking for everyone but for the vast majority) too much because we all know how easy is to level in Edge Of The Mist. So I think that this idea will make people to play more in environment of more maps rather then just 1 (eotm). Please leave a feedback about what you think about it

Go into the WvW borderlands and buy whole equipment with badges you get from playing WvW ( armor and weapon ). Second thing is you go to sPvP and complete full track that on the end has chest with full gear reward. on the way to the end of the track you will receive a lot of good stuff.

Ok. I’ve seen this kind of stories over and over again. What do you exactly expect from gw2 after you reach lvl 80 ? And if there is nothing to do tell me what would you do in other mmo’s when you hit max lvl that is more fun then that you have right now ?

I agree on that. 200 laurels for precursor and that’s it !

Probably not because every race is connected with story line so it’s not easy just to make race change because if they make that possible they would probably need to make changes to a lot of game content and I don’t think that’s worth their time to do.

Legendary should be something that shows you’re a veteran player, to show your achievement in the game and so on… and from that perspective it’s totally stupid that precursor and later legendary should be achieved only with how lucky you are. In my opinion there should be something else that gives you precursor and the way to legendary.

Something like :
1) Need to be 80 lvl to get precursor
2) Need to have number of hours to get precursor
3) Need to have over 10k or more AP to get precursor
4) Need to have some kind of achievement to get precursort

Any probably more things to have. That will make hard work and achievement for your hard work and not just luck.

Hello everyone, I just wanna ask you all and Anet staff too if they reply to this topic. I’m interested in why is EOTM and WvW so laggy together with capital cities. I know it’s because of a lot players are staying at that places but still what is wrong with servers with this game. If it’s not servers then please let me know what it is. And if the problem is in servers then I would like that we all organize and make “Donation pool” from all players to get Anet better and more reliable servers. I too do know they are placed in America and I’m from Europe but still that’s not an excuse.

I can’t make my internet go faster because I live in country that ultra slow internet is reality and anything even more better is too expensive for anyones standard ( my net- 5/0.5 Mbits). So because I can’t change mine I’m in for donation pool to make them thieis better.

I’ve heard that there is guild with people in it that can teach you how to solo dungeons and stuff like that. I’m playing mostly PvE and at the moment I’m playing thief most of the time. I would like to get involve in the guild that does PvE content and that people are friendly and talkative. I’ve been in guilds before ( not many of them ) and I hate when I’m new in guild and people don’t even talk to you because you’re new or they have some kind of “talk” that is only understandable by people who are more then a year in that specific guild. I don’t ask much from guild but 1 thing and that’s that if you’re in guild, try to behave like everyone in it matter not just older players.

Hello everyone!

I have one big problem and I need solution if there is one. My windows are deselecting themselves every few seconds. Like now while I’m writing this text. Next problem is when I’m playing Gw2 my screen is minimizing itself every 10 seconds so it’s impossible to do anything. I’ve been looking all over the net but I can’t find anything useful. I hope someone had the same problem and can help me now. This is really kittening me off.
