Considering the OP is arguing every point made with “unbalanced” and “unfair” its safe to say this is just another “QQ nerf thieves” thread disguised as an advice thread.

This is a real thing. Don’t have much info on it, but I have been on the recieving end. And I play a theif so I know how fast a stomp can be with haste. This is not a haste stomp. It almost feels like an attack that one hits you while downed but I never see the huge damage in log.

Also Coshocton, please stop saying you have to pay a repair cost because you dont. If you are downed and alt-f4 you log in dead without damaged armor.

Last thing I want is to dc and try to relog with a “character already logged in” error, that I commonly see on other games that have a timeout to log.

They are supposed to do high burst damage…thats kinda their thing. Who are you to decide what damage output they are supposed to deal out? Just because you are outplayed by another class doesn’t mean you should bother others with your whining.

“We” don’t call it Guildwars1? I certainly do. Do you call WW1 just World War?

And OP, if you plan on WvWvW’ing alot you’ll most likely want the shortbow for its “5” skill which lets you shadowstep away. This comes in handy alot when trying to escape.

I was under the impression there is a 10 second timer before they are logged out… so you should still be able to kill them in that time. I do know that it saves that person from any repair costs though.

When I insta-kill noobs with my thief I dance on their corpse because I think it’s funny.

But it isn’t as satisfying when they are already dead. I prefer to down them, beat them to 25% life, then dance while the scrubs pathetically sit there trying to heal. If it is a warrior who uses his downed-skill to get up, I will dodge around throwing a few /laughs until the timer runs out and he falls dead.

I go with toughness over vit. Couple reasons, for one, if you want strong damage you can either go with (power, prec, toughness) armor or (power, vit, crit damage) armor. I prefer to have the crit chance over the crit damage so I choose the Knight set. Also, we have crap HP no matter what, stacking vit will save you from 1 hit pretty much and healing skills dont heal as a percent. With toughness im tanky enough and when i heal it pretty much puta me at full health while i remain tanky. Gives me time to stealth away.
