WvW was not dying…!!!!! but it is now dying!! cause they killed HALF OF THE SERVERS… AND BECAME GUEST SERVERS!

FORCING THEM TO HELP THE ENEMY SERVER THAT THEY USED TO CRUSH WITH DEDICATION OF NO SLEEP !

more less and less population in guest servers ever since the world link happened…

sooo anet plan is to kill half of WvW population by killing half of NA servers?.. oh wait EU also is affected by this…

i tought this merge was only beta?? how come its been a year already for this beta?

all the guest servers are dying might aswell just delete us why do you keep guest servers anyway??? to show dying servers?

anet thinks its way better.. anet did you even talk to the people in guest servers?? i bet you only talked to people in the high population servers who only thinks of blob fights… where people blob 24/7

this is getting annoying.. alot of people doesnt like the merge thats the guest servers and thats alot of people…
we want our server back!! and so i can finally lead WvW with my 100% dedication! whenever i lead in any host server it doesnt feel right! it doesnt feel like its my 100%!!
and i dont even feel like leading.. !!
but if we are in devonas… im always happy to lead… because i feel home..

OLD WvW IS SOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN IT IS RIGHT NOW.. this is coming from a WvW experienced veteran like me.

If relinking happened this week, and we kept the 12 server host system, we’d most likely see the first guest / host swap in DH and Ebay. Where by Ebay becomes a host and DH becomes a guest.

It seems (atleast for the time being) if your server is 13th, there’s a very good chance you’ll see some flipping between host and guest, IF you can maintain your position before re-pairing. As for the servers below 13th, it doesn’t look very likely anytime soon. But honestly, it’s anyone’s guess how it works until it actually happens the first time.

As far as how your server reaches 13th place? It was tough before, and seems to be 10xs as hard now.

yea… hopefully there is such thing as swapping so we can be host server aswell and not forever guests…

it was not the linkage, players just stop playing or moved to another server, and your server got relinked due low active population on WvW.

we had thousands of players way before expansion came out… we got to rank 10 those times…
everyone started to leave and quit because everyone argueing to each other in TS or map chat.. so we fell down to last tier

we were rank 15 when world- link happened..
around this times we are very less but still enough to be called “thousands” having several guilds on 500 members 400 and 300 etc etc… (i know cause i use my 5 guild slots to join 5 Devonas guilds)
we gained new friends.. new allies to play with.. but the dream did not last long.. we had our chance again to get up to rank 10 again but anet said no…

like i said we were rising up… then anet decided to kill it and do this world link event…

With the eventual relinking, the links won’t necessarily be the same and there could be 3 or more servers linked together. That would potentially require a whole new set of names each time things are linked.

Eventually, they’ll come up with a few good ideas to present to us to help each server keep its identity in the link (I hope).

DR never had thousands of players to leave. I played against you. You had maybe 100ish active players at prime time at the height of WVW. It has been downhill from then. If you had even a single thousand, then it would be you on the top now, not BG. I think you are very, very confused between numbers, for example: 1000 or many 1000s =\= 30ish.

Also, while you may think that, you actually do not speak for your server. I am willing to bet there are a lot of people on your own server that are a part of that majority vote, which by the way ended up as 82%+ in favor. 75% was just the bar to reach for it to stay as a perma feature. You are confused about that too.

Then you are further confused because the people who were undecided and those who were actually against it, made up the remaining 18% (rounding up in your favor). Just because they were undecided at the time of the poll, does not mean that they share your particular opinion.

On my personal note, as posted above, WVW is now overall far, far better then it was in an extremely long time. Yes the server links have issues which need to be smoothed out, yes it isn’t perfect, yes I would also like to know when the next link rotation occurs and how long will the links last. But it is a huge overall improvement. And while it may have turned off your server, both of our linked servers have seen a vast increase in activity and more people playing.

So as also posted above, I disagree with you nearly completely.

THOSE ARE JUST EXAMPLES OF 4 OF OUR GUILDS THAT USED TO PLAY ALOT
we used to be over 30 guilds in our server!!

we got up to rank 10 is our highest in history!! our server slowly decayed and more and more people leaving or quitting…
then more quit because of this merge making the server have only 1-2 guilds left playing 3 times per week for 2 hours.

YOU ARE NOT IN OUR SERVER STOP ACTING THAT YOU KNOW US OR KNOW WHAT WE VOTED FOR.

12 guest servers STOPPED PLAYING they could have voted for (no) but they are gone and quit… trust me i know… how?? cause i been playing WvW longer than you!

world linking is very great feature, it just need improvements. make players doesnt feel like they transfered. MAKE THEM FEEL AT HOME.

how to do it?, fix server identity problem.

1) when you see enemies put the 2 servers name not just 1 server name.

2) fix borderlands name put 2 server names instead not just 1

doing this makes the other players feel MORE LIKE AS A TEAM AND MERGED ALLY TOGETHER BALANCED WAY

me and other thousands of people havent played since this stupid merge happened and forced transfer 12 servers to help the other 12 servers on their own battles……

please give back our server and our borderlands already so we can play again!

let me explain… server loyalty is very important to some of us.
we treasure memories. we treasure the events, we treasure our friends in the server. some of these memories relates and connects us from real life stuff…
its like we are one big family. but anet took away our home… what is a family without a home??..

WE DONT GIVE A KITTEN LOW OR HIGH POPULATION SERVER AS LONG AS WE ARE IN DEVONAS REST.

we requested free transfers so some can come to our server not us going away. we requested help from anet cause we have very few people left, but we got lucky… without anet’s help.. more and more new friends coming to our server… we started rising slowly got to tier 5.. and then here comes anet ruining us instead of helping .. took our home… took our hard work of rising up… all those no sleep days and nights just playing WvW for the server… went to waste. poor us…

me have a warrior, and uses balanced stance for stability with the balanced stance trait and berserker stability trait.
Stability is stronger and better. enemies cant remove it that easily now since it renews. i like it. my chances of getting knock down has been decreased.. more stability stacks has been added since it renews!!!

(old stability boon)1 use of old balanced stance skill gives me 5 stacks of stability in 10 seconds

(new stability boon) 1 use of new balanced stance skill gives me a repeated renewal of 2 stacks every 3s for 10 seconds. that is like 8 stacks of stability in 10 seconds… which made it stronger!

if i am the stability remover person which is when i play my necromancer… i would just rather remove all his boons including stability if it renews remove it again(if i have another boon remove skill ready) to give him more conditions from boon remove aswell

Stability was more overpowered before… I remember when stability cant be removed at all by any knockdowns/CC’s and doesnt even have any stacks… its just 1 stack and 10 seconds you wont get “crowd controlled” unless its is stripped off by a necro or mesmer or any class that has boon strip

i will not deny i played in EotM for a bit and met alot of friends.
but I am sure i did not get the whole 7600 from edge, probly only got 500-1000 rank ups from edge of mist thats it … i been playing WvW since time..

included my WvW rank so the devs that might read this will know that the person complaining has been playing WvW for a while and has experience knowing alot of WvW mechanics and gameplay styles..

what are you talking about? Maaguma server welcomed us during reset night i was commanding in home borderland with guildys and they were nice to us!

I am glad that you came across some nice members of the other server as some of us have not had the same experience. I just posted about it and this same player stated that I should avoid WvW all together. This is also one of many players on that server that was overly rude.

PVD is only part of the equation. This is a good change because now maybe DR can actually start using their Skill bar. Sorry but you’re going to have to fight for what you want now.

I agree that the force merge is not good. The reason why people stay on a server is due to server loyalty. If you are going to merge servers, then I suggest that it is done in such a way that none of the names of the servers show. Just simply put NA1, NA2 or just put down Blue, Red, Green etc and then we see who we have been paired against after. The server that lost their name will feel betrayed no matter what. After so many years of fighting on that server, refusing to leave even though they have been zerged over thousands of times, it is a home to the players and Anet just went and took that away without even thinking how it might affect them. So I seriously hope that Anet takes heed and do some wise changes after Beta is over so that players from those servers do not feel betrayed.

Instead of attacking the OP for everything else he was or he wasn’t, we should look at what he is saying and react to it by putting ourselves in the shoes of those players in the servers that had the home names taken off.
