I really liked EQ1 (kunark era) where you could go to a dungeon, kill the guy 387 times and get the staff you wanted and go do something else. I remember when I camped raster. Getting the epic on a monk was a pain in the kitten . Yes, every class had a single epic item back then and it took months of camping, questing and a very kind and dedicated guild to make it all work. That all being said I will not go to work, buy gems and then get a RNG dye pack.

I have been away a while and don’t know what RNG means. Can someone spell it out so that this thread makes sense?

not over clocked and i have a 2 day old fresh install of win7pro with no AV software to speak of.

I am thinking my memory might be bad? is that possible?

why do I play just fine for an hour and then crash and all the sudden I need to download 3000mb more of files… for the 8th time today…?

why is my data getting corrupted every flipping time i play the game for five minutes?

this is happening for me as well. very frustrating.

they are not mutually exclusive. you can play for fun and ignore the reward stuff for the most part, if that’s your gig. Others can hunt specific rewards if that is – for them – fun.

I have also been away from the game for months. I updated files before the 17th and was able to log in and then crashed on character load because my CPU fan died.

I also have up to date drivers, tried the -repair, downloaded someone else’s gw2.exe which works briefly, then when it reloads it gives the exact same error as my exe did.

I run vista and several months ago played the game fine… is this because of the patch?

I also have this problem – HELP!
