I realize you are all working diligently on HoT features that are being released early (Mastery System & Specializations) and probably a ton of other “to do” items. Not to mention designs for the new LA (thank you).
Since it has been 20+ days since the last official comment I was just checking on the status of this. I just don’t want it being forgotten is all. So if a Dev could just pop a post to update us or just to say “still programming” that would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

Is there a way to block PVPBANK.COM from the chat servers? 100% of the time PVPBANK.COM sends a chat from whomsoever they cracked/created the account from.
I realize most of the investigation is based on the account. But there must be some way on the chat servers you can block chat that contains pvpbank.com. None of it is lagit or following any guide lines ANet set out.
I have a huge block list that 98% of is pvpbank accounts used to spam!! You would think that after two years anything pvpbank in chat or mail would be block automaticaly?

I have heard talk in game that there are guild missions for small guilds yet to be released. Is this true? If this is true I am wondering why they have not been so far?

Thank you mXz for the link, it was a good read that supports my position.
Thank you all for your responses. I am glad I am not the only one who is not happy with including WvW as map completion. For WvW players it must be just as frustrating to have to do PvE for it.
I think Aerlen said it best:
“PLEASE REMOVE IT
Either that or add a freaking no combat tag where people who have no interest in jerks and their kittens can just go there, get the freaking map completion and leave without being able to be attacked or able attack anyone else. I have to go in there naked, unarmed, and alone and I still get no life jerks who gang pile me for a kill – I’m not even freaking armed! Plus, I’m taking a space on the server that could be filled by someone who actually wants to play wvw – my own server blames world completionists for losing in wvw because they can’t get in." ~ Aerlen
Why can’t we have a non-combatant option?? Why can’t WvW /PvPers have an achievment that represents having done PvE such as having defended and attacked all bases on all four maps?? Clearly there are enough both PvE & WvW players who would like to see a different solution to this issue.
No, neither are forced to play PvE or WvW, but you miss out on getting a Legendary if you don’t!!
None of this answers the question of why. And yet even Anet or at least the wiki separates the two. The Player vs. Player covers PvP, WvW and “The Mists”. Player vs. Environment covers Cities, Events, Jumping Puzzles, Dungeons and personal story. I realize this is an organizational thing. But it does give one the impression the two can be done separately if one would like to do one or the other. In most rpg’s and even MMO’s PvPers and PvErs usually do not like to do the other, so I am not sure why we must now? Even chat shows PvErs and PvPers don’t mix well!

Anet I love this event, but when your server becomes too lazy to participate in it, it becomes impossible, 10 people cannot take down this boss. What is the point of putting in all that work if no one even does it anymore
it seems like a huge waste. I propose you have the event scale to the number of players in the area so we can at least have a chance of using teamwork to down the boss, if this or some other solution doesn’t happen I fear that if the player base should start to drop even more events will become unplayable.
I agree, Anet is think and working so hard to please the zergs and masses that run through, get the goodies and move on. There is no way once attention has moved to go back and do those enjoyable creations. Especially if you are a small guild or not in one. Has GW2 become WOW? Is GW2 the new Starcraft? Anet had a great thing going during beta and release! Then Southsun came and it all went to crap zerg / one time events.
No longer are the casual players allowed to play when and how they can. Now you MUST conform to the grinding and zerging or you lose out.

Why is WvW part of world completion for the PvE players?
I don’t play PvP or WvW and I am forced to play WvW to complete World Completion. That is stupid. PvE players are always having to do PvP or non PvE crap for daily’s, world completion, special events……
Guild Wars 2 was supposed to let us play they way we wanted to play. Then why as a PvE player am I forced to battle in WvW for world completion?? I get that WvW is part of the mists or what ever….I am playing Guild Wars 2 for the PvE aspect of it, the dungeons and special events.
Am I the only PvE player who is dismayed at the forced PvP / WvW?

I agree. I think they need another way to support smaller guilds.
While I do not think Karma to Influence is a good idea as suggested by ArtemusHunter.9521 ( That would enable larger guilds to amass billions of influence as most characters have thousands of Karma if not hundreds of thousands).
I believe they already have a possible solution set up! They have Guild Membership tiered 1- 6 already. Why not just double or triple the amount of influence earned by the Tier 1 Guilds and then decrease the doubling or tripling of the influence as your guild moves up the tiers so that by Tier 3 or 4 your back to normal earnings.
I think this would work and really I think the Guild Missions are the most difficult for the tier 1 guilds anyway. I can’t imagine a tier 2 or 3 guild would have such difficulty in earning influence or completing guild missions.
It would have been nice to have the Guild Wars 1 Zaishen Bounty, Combat, Mission and Vanquish tasks. They did not have time limits.

Since the update that now requires 1 Merit for Vault Transport it has effectively disabled the use of my guild bank. I have spent thousands of influence on the training missions to try and earn 1 merit. The time always runs out before we find and much less kill the target. I had high hopes for the new system. Now I think it is crap.
I just don’t think I should have to sit in LA or other maps chatting “has anyone seen 2-MULT?”
15 minutes! Guild Wars has made it not worth small / family guilds to participate. I get that the masses / MMOers are catered to. Though I recall they intended to make it so the small guilds / groups would be able to earn merit too. I just don’t see it.
GREAT idea, bad execution if you asked me. I wish they worked more like the Zaishen Bounty, Combat, Mission and Vanquish tasks from Guild Wars 1.

I don’t think guild wars 2 is really set up to be “gifted” to other people? Even the invite system has the invitee register the code and create an account.
I would recommend that if some one were to “gift” Guild Wars (2) buy the media and mail the media and receipt / receipt copy to the person who it is gifted. In reality I believe it comes down to the serial code, account name and email. If you have control of the serial code you have the rights to the game since the person who bought it would not be able to say “I did not get my serial code with my purchase”. The account email and name are to prove you have account access and authorization to the account holder.
I could be wrong on this.
I agree it would be awesome if Guild Wars (2) had a means to buy and then have a gift option at purchase. Like the invite system only allow the invitor the ability to pay for it also. Though I think this kind of thing is a rarity.

Thank you ArenaNet for giving us the Wintersday music to download! :-D I would love it if we could also get the Holloween soundtrack. While the music for Guild Wars 2 is up to Jeremy Soule’s par with Guild Wars, I truly do miss the Guild Wars Wintersday music in Guild Wars 2. It would be nice to add the Guild Wars Wintersday music to the playlist for Guild Wars 2 Wintersday :-).
Again, Thank you very much for giving us the ability to create custom playlists. Thank you for giving us the Guild Wars 2 Wintersday Soundtrack!!

LOL, with FotM Karka Island is almost a waist land now :-(
As is most of the other Dungeons and Lands of Tyria. But then I think that is a topic of another post.
I seem to farm Flowers, Fruits and shells fine. Though I do have 27% Magic find w/o taking any buffs. With buffs I can get almost 85% Magic find. And that helps :-) (though I still haven’t gotten any Ascended items :-( ). It’s the skins I have issue with. I have yet to get them as a drop. So as a new player or one who has used all their skins 2g to buy a set is not worth it. I am a casual player and earning 2g takes me three days (5 hours of play a day).

Remember in BWE’s when keys dropped also, that would be nice to have back. Make it a rare drop at least. I like the BLC improvements, I really do. Now the chest have more value with the added items. My wife received a Small Guild Discovery and Mini Pack from two chests.
It would still be nice and help keep the crying down if keys also dropped like in BWE days. They don’t need to be as often as in BWE, again make it a rare drop or 1/2 as much as BLC’s.

What is being done about the player(s) / guild(s) that are collectively unbalancing the economy system?
There are already enough posts about the economy itself. This is to find out what and how ArenaNet / Guild Wars 2 is going to handle and deal with players who intentionally drive the price of items (mostly Gems & Gold) up or down. Should that activity be reported? Under what title (Spamming, Selling Gold….?) should they be reported? Is it acceptable to seek players help to drive the cost of BLTC (Black Lion Trading Company) items up or down? Are these activities considered in-game fun? Does ArenaNet really make the money from the casual player who plays 40 hours a month and has hardly any gold to buy gems?
I was rather upset to read the chatter of a guild that was seeking help to “Upset” the economy. The goal apparently is to drive the price of gems up for the Wintersday event. I suspect this is to boost the players self-esteem as they clearly had it out for the “casual” player, as the chat then switched to the difference between a casual player and an elite / hard core player. Never the less there are clearly players out there that do not have good intent for the game or other players. An “Upset” of the economy system does not sound like something to take lightly.
Yes, this player was reported.
