Overwolf has been thoroughly tested by us, and many other users, in Guild Wars 2, and so far we haven’t seen or heard any case of punishment towards this. :-)

Although you’ll be limited to a browser window for now, it does have a transparency feature, and we’re working on adding borderless windows in future SDK versions.

First of all, for those who don’t know Overwolf – it’s an in-game overlay software that supports Skype, TeamSpeak, a web-browser and many other features.

We currently host an ongoing webapp developing contest for our appstore with some great prizes (more info here).

The reason I’m sharing this info with you is to help you guys create great in-game apps for you and your community, as there has been quite a lot of interest from the GW2 community regarding the competition and regarding apps in general, be it by developers or by players, asking for helpful apps.
