Tarnished CoastNo lag. Flawlessly smooth gameplay. No graphical or network problems on my end.
Disconnected every 5-10 minutes. Continue to 7:11 if I connect directly to the modem. I’ve fast forwaded all of the recommended ports, and both disabled and uninstalled all antivirus and firewall software. I have both -authsrv 64.25.38.54 and /clientport 80 tagged onto my launcher.
Next to unplayable.
In response to Bradison, I created an account and purchased and downloaded the game directly from ArenaNet approximately two weeks before the headstart.
Important thing of note: Whenever I am disconnected from the game, I without fail also seem to be signed out from GuildWars2.com.
Ok that rules what I was thinking out. I bought my game about a week ago, so I thought that maybe the time of purchase and account creation might have affected something, but it was just an idea :P
Wait, wait, wait… This is a very important detail. If you changed nothing on your computer with the exception of having your friend log in and the error didn’t happen at all….
Arenanet! Don’t miss this detail! This is important!
i have 3 computers in my house and 3 people with different GW2 accounts all three of us can not log into GW2 from any computer without an error
Just wondering….when did you guys get your accounts and games?
I’m not a network expert, but I know enough to read the logs you guys are posting and it’s very clear it’s a network issue, one that looks like it’s on PlayNC’s end.
Here’s a snippet from one that’s been posted (I cleaned it up a bit for legibility). You can see at #9 and #11 there is 100% packet loss, and #11 is a plaync.com address. Unfortunately I don’t have a solution, but at least you know why it’s happening:

Can we please get an update on what’s going on?
I was able to start playing today, so I at least got past the character screen. I didn’t do anything on my end, so I hope it was a fix on theirs
Extremely disappointed in the service as of right now. Not even an update.
Just bought this game yesterday and haven’t had the chance to play it…..
