Thanks a lot Inculpatus, I restarted my computer, opened the client downloader in French, and I’m flyin at 4 MBps again with only the remaining files left to download. ArenaNet is goofy

Guess I’m about to learn French

Also, if I close and re-open the client, will it save my progress? According to this, that may be the case, but I’d rather not risk it.

Hey all,

I’m trying to download the game client on Windows after switching over from OSX (beta fail), and even though the download was cruising at 3-4 MBps the whole time, I hit 93% and it’s stuck. It wavers between about 30KBps to 0. My internet speeds are fine, just checked SpeedTest.net and got 30Mbps, yet the GW2 download is still crawling.

Is there anything I can do to speed it up at this point, or do I need to restart the download? And wtf?

So are we going to get some kind of compensation for having to salvage/merch all of our drops for the past week? I kinda miss market prices!

I just finished Z-1 and Z-2 Tribulation mode, and I am assuming I must have “returned to hub” before the post-boss timer hit 0. Now because of that, I am unable to select Z-3! I posted a bug report with a screenshot, hopefully this can get resolved. Any advice, or similar occurrences?

Wow I had no idea it was this rare. I got the Plush Griffon on my 3rd try, and then the Golem in another couple tries with my leftovers just because I knew I’d never want the mini. Sorry some of you have had much worse luck!

For the musically inclined, it is a D Dorian scale if my memory serves me correctly.

That is, D – E – F – G – A – B – C – D

Which is of course all of the notes of a C Major scale, just laid out from D to D instead. Why they chose this is beyond me, because C to C would have opened up a much easier range of songs to choose from. Instead we get a minor scale with a creepy raised 6th. Happy Holidays?
