Have had my guild, House Blum, since launch. I’ve only used it for extra bank storage and never really did anything with it.
With guild halls and raiding on the way I figured I’d check to see if anyone would like to help run a guild.
With so many massive guilds out there I’d really like to focus on the small/unique stuff. Small roaming parties in WvW, back capping in WvW, gearing each other with ascended gear for raids, decking out the guild hall, have SPvP tourneys, etc.
I also own a Mumble channel.
Obviously this isn’t very elaborate, but just looking to see if anyone would like an opportunity to run a guild before sinking a bunch of my time into details.

Haven’t farmed gold in awhile and was wondering what the most efficient farm currently is?
Other than ToT bags please.
I know enjoying the leveling process is encouraged, but I’ve maxed quite a few characters at this point and was wondering what the quickest way to level a character is.
Haven’t played in months and EotM used to be the go-to.
With the new daily system and the mess amount of Tomes of Knowledge you get from Reward tracks in pvp i’m getting way to many.
So i probably use 60 to get a Instant revenant.
But whats gone happen when i use a tome of knowledge on a level 80 after the expansion is here.Because i quote from the following link: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/reimagining-progression-the-mastery-system/
This means characters that have reached level 80 will no longer gain skill points through leveling. Skill points will be added as rewards across high-level content to offset this change.’
A Tome of Knowledge = a Free 1 level.
So will it just giveing you a 1 Skill Point same as it does now.
Or will it change to giveing you exp to a mastery track?
Or ….Was just something on my mind.
What is the Tome of Knowledge farm you speak of? I seem to get them at a very slow rate.
NZ myself, its just not as rewarding as doing other things that are more fun.
I’ve come to the conclusion I can’t, but I don’t care the only way to make me care would be to put 250×5 ToT bags in the chest at the top every time I completed it, and it was except from DR, then I’d try harder as it is massive effort for little reward.
I’m averaging 70-100 ToT bags every 30mins which makes me 5-6 gold.
I’d says it’s fairly efficient and rewarding.
Doing a few more runs if anyone still needs a tutorial.
I figured it out, apparently I’m not able to finish it due to my ping (playing from NZ) and every time I jump into the smashed clock I just hit a wall..
My ping is great and had the same problem. A lot of instances are bugged, so rejoin and it should work.
No shame.
But for reals. I wanted to break my keyboard when I couldn’t figure it out a couple years ago.
Then come watch my stream! www.twitch.tv/brandopb
I complete it 90% of the time and it’s my way of farming Trick or Treat bags. Make sure you take into account the jumps I make and where I land.

We have our private instances, and we get stuff for there, it is a start.
Yeah, but when I think of housing, I think of total customization.
I don’t know about you guy, but I’ve always been a sucker for personal housing in MMOs. Being GW2 is such a casual game, I’m greatly surprised that they haven’t added any feature of the sort.
There’s a few ways it could work. LotRO style, where they have instanced neighborhoods with about 30+ houses or so, giving you the opportunity to buy houses next to guildies/friends/etc. OR just singular instanced homes.
Key Features:
- Bosses in dungeons drop “trophies” that you can display in your house to show your accomplishment. This will give you more incentive to run dungeons.
- Unlock furniture/paintings/misc. through completing achievements.
- Put up holiday/event specific items in the BLTC (Mad King Thorn replica, Christmas Tree, SAB sofa). Profit for Anet.
- World bosses drop “pelts” that you can take to a taxidermist to display in your house.
- Garden where you can spawn ore, crops, food, etc.
- More storage.
- Display your armor sets.
The list could go on really. It is a daunting feature to add, but I would have hoped that one year into the game we would have at least some word.
Your thoughts?
I think I’d rather just get my title and move along…
I’m currently the only one in my guild and it’s just the remnant of what used to be a fairly active small guild. I’m looking to get it up and running again, but need a few officers to help get it going.
Current perks:
- Mumble (reactivating once we need it)
- A poorly made website
- Guild bank
- 3k left over influence
If you’re interested my IGN is “Blums”, just shoot me a whisper and I’ll do a brief interview.
My goal is to revive the slowly dying social/community aspects of our server by making things from WvW to dungeons fun again.
Sorry if this has been answered, just haven’t found any other threads.
Does the patch go live at midnight or have they not said yet? Thanks.
My server seems to be dying down and I’ve been wanting to transfer while they are free. I own my own guild and have dropped around 20k plus influence into it (along with my Tome of Influence). It may not seem like a lot, but we are a small guild and it was a lot of hard work.
I know influence is server based and that wont transfer, but what about upgrades? Anything else?
I looked through other threads, but no one really gave a definite answer.
