Everyone says Humans are boring, not my fault they all want to do House Guilds and crap.

I made mine a drunk, patent stealing, pirate talking engineer.

So far people have enjoyed being around him, apparently he’s original. I wouldn’t know but I know that I enjoy roleplaying him and its fun to run around as him cursing and confusing people with logic, especially racist asura.

Rate the Humans name above you

William Brayton – Engineer, Drunk, Talks like a Pirate. Ascalonian family line. Brayton literally means ‘From the town of Bray’.
Karl Almos – Warrior, Proper, Seraph Vet. Karl means Man and Almos is a kittenization of a Spanish name meaning Soldier.

Ehh, its kinda boring since its really similar to the way Charr do their name, still good. 5/10

Heartphilia? Really? 4/10

Boss Stacking

Blame high level Fractals (50-80) where there is no reason to wear anything but Berzerker because even 1 (maybe 2) hits from a boss will down you no matter what you wear.

It comes down to DPS as hard as you can before your group runs out of cooldowns.

This has carried over to dungeons. Stacking like it or not is the most efficient way.

Efficient doesn’t mean fun, a lot of people keep equating the two but it really isn’t. It is only fun to people looking to doll up their character or stroke their egos.

I’d rather have the long, hard but entertaining fight. At least then I know it was skill and luck, not exploit and poor programming.

The Gw2 dungeons again....

I’ve never really played MMOs before, Guild Wars 2 was reccommended to me by a friend. A free weekend happened and so I started playing and fell in love with the PvE content…until dungeons.

I’ve played some nasty dungeons, I do Dungeons and Dragons, I’ve MADE nasty as kitten dungeons. These dungeons are not nasty, they’re not fun, the fact stacking is sometimes the only viable option is laughable.

I’d rather fight a god kitten Deathclaw with a 9 millimeter pistol in Fallout New Vegas as a level 5 than deal with Ascalon Catacombs as a kittening level 80.

So, I’m completely new to this game, just started two months back. I’m getting my kitten handed to me in PvP and I don’t know if I’m doing anything in Dungeons but I love the build in PvE.

dungeon X "all stack"

in Fractals, Dungeons & Raids

I think the biggets problem when it comes to stacking is that some boss fights almost require it. For instance, most of the AC paths are almost impossible without stacking and skipping. Its a terribley set up dungeon.

But lets focus on CoE’s Alpha guy because it was mentioned earlier. One of the biggest problems, and this goes to most of the bosses and even some of the lower fighters, there’s no move regonition. If he jumps up, there’s no timing to avoid the crystal and having to stop and free someone from it is time consuming. There’s not way to dodge a move like that and to be honest, that’s bullkitten. Someone on their first 80 is still learning things, so to put that kind of kittene on them isn’t fair.

Stacking also isn’t fair to ranged characters at all, or say engineers who trait for Turrets and Grenades. Its also just not fun, especially with the clunky camera.

The beginning Fractal levels are actually dungeons done right, they force you to move around and plan out things. In most dungeon runs its just stack in a corner and lure the mob/boss in.
