Guild Wars 2

We really need some clarification on how to get this achievement. Please, can someone from the staff clarify how we’re supposed to get it? Yeah, we could just brush it off as “no big deal” and ignore this achievement altogether, but it’s a valid part of the game and some of us want to know how to get it. Don’t put it in if you don’t mean for it to be obtainable…

I really hope the answer is that it’s bugged and that it doesn’t require relying on others to dodge the shockwave. One of the problems I have with this game is “achievements” being too reliant (sometimes, not always) on other people. My achievement pane should be for achievements that I have achieved. If someone else screws up, why should I be punished for meeting the goal and doing something hard when someone else messes up? Kind of a little mini-rant and slightly off-topic, but that’s why I hope that this is individual, not required for everyone to dodge in order for everyone to get it.

Well then I guess I have no choice but to do this again… sigh. That’s really crappy design.

I spent about 1.5-2 hours working on this achievement, and finally beat World 1 Zone 3 on Tribulation Mode, only to have the achievement not count! I really, really do not want to go through the trouble to do it again… I did it already! Can someone please look into this?

I have proof that I completed it, and I did file a bug report, but I want to increase my chances of having my account corrected and my points awarded. Also if others have had the same issue then maybe they can also post about it here.

I’ve attached a screenshot with proof that I completed it, and that I didn’t get awarded the achievement. I have the “King Toad Z-3” item in my inventory which is awarded on completion. You can also see that I’ve completed “Tough Customer, World 1”, and the final shop is right before the boss fight.

I think what may have been the cause is, just after I beat the King Toad, I died, and respawned at the checkpoint. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it, I died again from stepping on a trap while waiting to move onto the bonus stage.

I’d really like this corrected and my points awarded. It was almost 2 hours of my time, I have the reward and everything. I just want the points, please.

What really pissed me off was, I died, so I tried to respawn at a waypoint, but then the loading screen wouldn’t go away. I could hear the fighting, but I had no way to play. So I logged in again and got an overflow server where the final fight was finished, so the 2-3 hours I spent playing were essentially for nothing. I couldn’t get back to any overflow where the event was still happening.

As much as I love and will still play GW 2, this entire weekend has been a complete and utter disaster. It’s the worst experience I’ve ever had with any game, ever. But I’ll continue to play because I like the game.

Please, just don’t pull BS like this anymore in the future, Anet. Make sure you regression test everything so that it won’t end up like this again when it goes live, and that these one-time events are repeatable, maybe so that you can only loot the rewards once.

This was an utter failure. But life goes on.

I have everything finished, but I still don’t have the Emissary achievement completed, it’s stuck at 4/5. Please fix it, I’ve done the work so would like the achievement and title!
