And I will continue to call out players who take an absolutist view of pvp scenarios. I can’t fault you for not being competitive, you certainly are. But I can fault you for not using your head, applying sound judgement, and generally being a grown-up. You found a tiny niche in the game where pvp and pve overlap and the fact that it’s your favorite spot to party speak volumes on your character.

And if you think fair-play has no place in your pvp vocabulary, then I will call you out on it all day and night and make it a point to see everyone you fight down there exits the game before you finish them off if that’s what it takes. I find it incredibly ironic you call out downed players logging off as being somehow unsportsmanlike when you are acting in the same manner, if not worse.

How is it not fair play… They can kill me just as easily as i can kill them. Its just funny that you call me a childish for pvping in a pvp zone. Its by far the best place to get 1v1 fights. And its a great place to learn how to fight against different classes and styles. Go run around EB and see how many 1v1 fights you get…. So just because there is some people who come in that are PVE’rs… really has nothing to do with it. They know what the place is, and what potential danger awaits. They have invis portals for a reason. So like i said in my other post, ill stick with my style and you can go stick with your blobs. My whole point was how its a sad pattern that people are logging out in a down state. You can take your high and mighty/better then others attitude and enjoy yourself. Ill go take my competitive fun pvp attitude and enjoy my game. If you want to go start a i hate jump puzzle griefers thread.. plz do, until then im done. I just hope that people in all pvp situations will man up when downed and not log off. Thats very poor form.

So last night some friends and i decided to do some jump puzzle ganking… (which was a blast). And we noticed a sad trend coming from the blackgate players. (not all of them mind you, but way more then there should be). As soon as they were downed they would log off. It happened at least 10x in 2hrs.
Now i know it sucks getting most of the way through the puzzle and then running into a enemy camp. But don’t panzy out and take away the rewards of those who deserve it. I have been killed more times that i can count in the jump puzzle….. Its pvp! Honestly, this is the first server I have seen since the game launched that does this consistently. And sadly “those” who do it make your server look really bad.
Here is hoping Anet makes it so you cant log out in combat. Nothing more frustrating in pvp then getting someone down, and not being able to finish the job.

Yeah you totally deserve that loot bag, so skill and hardcore attacking someone focused on a jumping puzzle and that has no desire to fight. You and your friends must be proud. Must feel awesome to finish of someone who possibly worked hours on a puzzle, just so they can get ganked. You sir, Are a ruffian and a scoundrel.

So your mad that we pvp in a pvp zone?… If it takes you hours to complete the puzzle you should prob just delete the game… Until anet changes the jump puzzle mechanics its a pvp zone, and as such will be camped by people all the time.
My best pvp fights have come from the jump puzzle. There is always a few groups looking to brawl in there. So if you have to log off in a pvp zone because you get owned…. It just makes me happy to know your not on my server!

The scumbag defends his scumbag ways. It does not take me hours to do a puzzle. But some are not so good at games, even just kitten puzzle. Jumping puzzles if anything should be a neutral zone. If you go in there to fight using the excuse oh pvp in a pvp zone. Guess I can go to Afghanistan and kill a bunch of random innocent citizens, Hey war in a war zone.

Did you just bring in Afghanistan…. RL situation that does not apply to a game scenerio?!?!? That has got to be one of the most pathetic and offensive examples i have ever heard. Just because you feel that the jump puzzle shouldn’t be a pvp zone… doesnt change the fact that it IS. If you dont like the game mechanic then stay out.
In a “game” there are no innocents in a pvp zone. I’m honestly appalled by your pathetic response.

And just because the puzzle is in a pvp zone doesn’t mean it should be. If you don’t think what your doing is a problem then accept the labels people give you. I responded to this earlier but you didn’t comment on it. Putting aside the fact that it shows bad character to camp a spot required for world completion, why not spend that time above ground where it actually matters anyway? There are zero points associated with holding the puzzle, which shows me you just like to gank, which means anyone calling you out on your character is justified to do so whether you like it or not. I have no idea why ANet designed it this way, but using that as an excuse is just sad.

Come up to the real fight and hang with the real pvpers, or cuddle with your siege in a dark room picking off random players with childish glee. Your choice.

Take your complaints to ANet. I enjoy pvp in all aspects. Anywhere i have the opportunity to kill someone, i take it! It all comes down to perspective, you call it ganking i call it opportunity. Just because you feel it shouldn’t belong in the jump puzzle is totally fine. But unfortunately for you, it does……. So lots of people will continue to enjoy pvp in there. Its one of the best spots to get 1v1 fights and smaller group fights.
Some people enjoy rolling with big blobs in pvp. Some like to roll with small groups to take supply camps. And some like me, solo most of the time. Everyone enjoys pvp in their own way….. Say what you want, but i will continue to enjoy pvp where ever available, and in whatever way i enjoy. :-)

Thats something i really liked about eve online. If you tried to log out it would still leave you in game for 60sec. Was a nice feature! hint hint

In vid #8 around 5m 16sec you appear to use Shadow Refuge but I don’t see it on your hot bar?

if you look harder, you can see all the enemy’s go invis…. So obviously the shadow refuge was the enemy thiefs.

Fragnarok is a tight group of mature players who enjoy spending time together doing everything in game. From pvp to pve we enjoy helping each other out.

Our focus is primarily on WvW. (but we enjoy all aspects of this game) We enjoy going out in small “hit squads” and take out enemy supply camps, sentry’s and our favorite.. camping the jump puzzle. (we use mezmer’s to port others up, and hence get back into the fight quicker).

We have very few rules in [FRAG]. We expect our members to get on voice coms (ts3), be nice to one another, and if a problem does arise…. be adult about it and talk to each other to resolve it. And above all else, have fun!!! Its a game for hell’s sake.

Most of our members have been playing games with each other for 5+ years. So if your tired of the mega guild mentality and want to join a group of “friends” come join us.

We are a small group that focuses primarily on WvWvW. We are looking to bolster our numbers a bit more.
We like to get groups together and take on smaller groups/events. One of our favorite things to do is camp/port people in the jump puzzle. (eternal battlegrounds) We enjoy ganking any and all enemy’s we come by.
Most of our core membership have been playing games with each other for over 5 years. We come from a “mega guild” and got tired of all the bs that goes with it. So If you enjoy small close knit groups come gives us a try.

I forgot to mention that we are all U.S. time zones. We have people living in florida all the way to hawaii. :-)

Come check us out… were small at the moment, but were adding numbers everyday. Most of our player base is PVP oriented. (lots of ex EVE players)
We have a solid alliance already formed.
We are mature group (most members have spouses and kids) we like to goof off and play around with all aspects of the game, but when it comes down to business… we get organized and focused.

We are a group of close friends who have played many games together. We met each other in one of those “mega” guilds out there, but got tired of the rules and mindless drones who followed them without question.

We are looking for people who want to enjoy the game as a hobby and not a job. We are planning on working with our alliance members and forming very organized pvp events (structured and wvw). Along with all other aspects of the game. (dungeons, pve events, crafting events ect.)

All we expect of our members is that they get on voice coms, so we can socialize and communicate during game play.
We also expect all members to act like adults when “drama” occurs. If you have an issue with someone, bring it up in a nice way and discuss how you can improve it.

Our numbers are small, but we expect to grow and become know for our outstanding game play and friendly environment.
