Thanks for the offer but I just want something super casual. I don’t mind participating in guild activities but I can’t commit any time. For now, anyway.
so I can take up scribering. Ideally the guild would have a cool name and not ask me for anything ever.
Go into options and look for action camera toggle key.
Activate the camera and it will be like a skyrim-like camera, running arround with wasd and turn kamera with mouse moving.
that was what I wanted, thank you.
the white dot is going to take getting used to though. it doesn’t really fit the UI theme.
When I’m moving around my arrow disappears, so how am I supposed to target spells? When I stop moving I have to search for the arrow because it blends in with the background, and in a battle every split second counts. Unless I remember to carefully position my arrow before moving every time I can’t be sure where my spells are going to land.
I usually expect the center of my screen to be where my spells are cast because that’s how it usually works with other games. Can’t I just have a cross-hair in the middle of the screen appear when the arrow isn’t visible and let that be my casting target?
sorry if this has been asked but I don’t use the forums much and the search function is pretty unspecial.
I’m using Sigil of Life and it’s working well but thinking of changing it for Transference.
Is to lure players in and wring as much money out of them as you can with microtransactions. The naked greed has been a turn off, and so has creating a game that gives advantages to people with more money to spend away on a game. You’ve introduced income inequality to the traditional meritocracy of gaming. Even though you still can’t buy skill the game is much more tedious to play with inadequate storage slots, and there’s other things in the gem store that make the game easier to play.
I overlooked this, but I thought I was buying the whole game. But I don’t think I’ll be buying the expansion.
No matter. I think I’ll save my creative ideas; this game has too much baggage. I wish the elements of the game that I love could be replicated in another game because I don’t like this game anymore.
One thing I certainly won’t miss is the ever present and ever contemptuous forum denizens who always manage to be the first responder (and second and sometimes third) in every thread. I wonder if they are proud of the dark clouds they cast. I also wonder if they ever actually play the game.
The scripting and plotting in your fiction has been horribly bad, embarrassingly so. Even if players say they don’t care about the game fiction, what makes a quality product is that every detail is made the best it can best, and right now you do not have a quality product.
I’d like to submit a sample script. Who should I email it to?
I like the way my character looks, except for the pink thing around the neck I can’t change the color of. I’m using the tailor crafted exotics, transmuted to look like the tailor crafted rares. It’s understated, but since I play a support role that suits me just fine.
Will Lion’s Arch be destroyed? ONO where will we put our guild banners?!!! Where will we go if we want to get gold spammed?!
It does, thanks.
I never heard it before today. I think urban dictionary needs an entry for it.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one with this problem. I try to remember to position the cursor over my head so I always know where it is when I cast and move but when things get hectic it’s hard to keep track of. Tab-targeting is really something awful, too.
34mb and counting. This must be a content update. Has anyone logged in yet?
Is anyone else having this problem?
This patch must be more than just fix for a drop rate because it’s taking a long time to download. Shouldn’t drop rates be fixed server side, anyway?
I’d also suggest putting toughness in your build, so you can get close enough to give boons and handle the splash damage.
^^
Arcane increases the duration of boons, which means regeneration lasts longer. GW2 wasn’t designed for players to be healers or tanks, that’s why every profession has their own healing and defense cooldowns. But you can lend support in other ways, and Arcane is really good for that. If you take the Elemental Attunement trait you give allies a buff every time you switch elements.
The build matters. I’m going for a support build so I have plenty of healing. I’m using scepter/dagger so I get plenty of toughness and vitality to survive getting in close to battle so I can spread my buffs around better. I’ve got accessories and upgrades to boost both of those stats, but also some extra power, precision and condition damage so I can still be useful as an offensive caster. If you’ve got a lot of a few stats, you can use your accessories to make your character a little more balanced.
Or glacial “lonestone” as the item tooltip says. I’ve been hunting icebrood in Frostgorge Sound but haven’t seen one drop. Does anyone know what this drops off of?
In practice though, it’s a miserable experience at times. Too many bosses/mobs get fixated on a single person for seemingly the ENTIRE encounter rendering them useless because all they can do is run away and try to live.
Look at it this way: the tank’s job is to take the focus of all enemies so the rest of the group can concentrate on offense. If all the enemies are focused on you then that’s your job except instead of standing there and getting hit in the face the way a tank would you kite the enemies around. Be prepared for this to happen at any time and have a strategy. Instead of hysterically running in random directions, try kiting enemies through other players aoe.
This might not be nice to say but I am so glad Anet isn’t letting the forum whiners drive game development like WoW does. It’s made GW2 a truly challenging game worth playing.
Ok, I should have looked closer. I only saw the three sets on the Arah gear.
It seems like most of the armor the token vendors are selling are the same three stats on all six pieces. For instance, the AC gear is all healing, precision and vitality.
Does anyone mix and match from different dungeons or just use a set from one? If you do have a full set from one dungeon, how is it working for you?
What would make this worth it is if it lasted through dying.
Good job on that. Are you going to add some information about how stats should be balanced for specific builds? That would be very useful. I’ve got a support build with a good bit of healing, toughness and vitality, and I was wondering how much of that I could sacrifice to be more useful in the damage department, or if there are diminishing returns on any of the stats.
I think the training manuals are actually all the same, despite buying them from profession specific vendors. You can give them to alts.
Edit: Never mind, I found a shopkeeper just outside the jeweler station in Divinity’s Reach who will sell the recipes.
All the other professional vendors let me buy from them without switching professions. I would like to get some recipes for a low level alt with high jewelcrafting skill. Is that possible?
Maybe there should be an option to report spam in the mail interface.
