Hardly anyone on the worlds is playing only a small group of nightcappers is active, sometimes from other timezones. Because this ruins the entire WvW after about 3 days whats the point in the days after that. The score difference has become huge by then and people stop playing after a while.

So just close the WvWvW at night from like 2am – 10am GM on weekdays.

Or another option is stop people from america/asia on europian WvW and visa versa.

Easy fix, designate time zones for servers. One server is a Central server, one an Eastern one an Pacific one an Oceanic etc. And disallow capping of major strategic points during extreme off hours on a server by server basis.

I’m blown away that they haven’t done this yet.

I’m glad people like you aren’t involved in the development of this game.

What was the other server in the blackgate/Crystal Desert fight?

It was Blackgate/Crystal Desert/Gate of Madness and Ehmry Bay/Borlis Pass/Ferguson’s Crossing.

Basically my server is getting stomped and a lot of people are just not bothering to do Wv3 now. So I wanted to switch servers to see what it’s like elsewhere, so I picked Ehmry Bay (mainly because I knew Wooden Potatoes has rolled on that server) and they are wrecking the other 2 servers they are against. So I left that server and joined Blackgate only to find that they are getting wrecked by Crystal Desert.

So are there any close matches going on or is it a case of one server totally dominating the other two? I was hoping to join a server that is on equal footing with at least one other server. It’s no fun to be on either side of a crushing performance.

P.S: Top 3 servers are not really an option since there are probably long queues there.

I didn’t like it as well, but I got it done today within 2 hours. How? Free transfers. Just use them to the fullest extent now before they start costing you. Just transfer to a server that’s wrecking the other 2 servers and explore all the points that are available. If somehow the other 2 servers are holding 1-2 points, transfer to them and explore from their side. Between Eredon Terrace/Isle of Janthir/Sea of Sorrows, I only had to queue up for a maximum of 10 minutes about 2 hours ago. A lot of IoJ and SoS aren’t even bothering to do Wv3 since ET has capped almost everything. Take advantage of the free transfers now and get the explorer done. You won’t even run into any opposition most of the time.

Not an exploit, just Arcane Blast, which has a 1500 range.

This isn’t 1500 range though, it’s way more. Arrow carts and ballistae couldn’t even reach him and they have a range of 2500 and 3000 respectively.

I am not sure if this is an exploit or if it’s intended. We ran into this yesterday when we put up some arrow carts and ballistae on top of a tower we had captured. An elementalist was damaging them from way, way out of range using a lightning ability (think it’s called Air Burst?) and we couldn’t damage him. So he was outside of siege weapon range and our player range, but he could still damage us and the siege weapons. Below are 2 videos of this happening. Is this some sort of exploit or is it intended behaviour of an elementalist ability? I do not play an elementalist so am not familiar with them.

Yeah, really hope they fix it or at least address the issue. It’s a little disappointing that nothing has been said about this matter.

I am notkitten at them since it doesn’t affect me in any way, shape or form. It’s just funny imagining them sitting there thinking why their buy order hasn’t been fulfilled yet. And it’s not just one person either, it’s multiple buyers who have put in the same price, which is what makes it funny.

I see a bunch of buy orders for items that are listed on the Trading Post for exactly the vendor value or sometimes even lesser. I’ve noticed this with some cooking materials, logs, leathers, and some gems. Just so these people know, you will never get those items. The Trading Post does not allow players to put or sell items for the vendor price or below vendor price. So have fun waiting forever wondering why no-one is selling those items.

If the thread title seems a little cryptic, let me explain. I play from India. This means that no matter what region or server I choose, I am always out of the primetime for those regions. I am 2.5 – 4.5 hours behind Australia, 3.5 – 4.5 hours ahead of Europe, 9.5 – 12.5 hours ahead of the US. This means that generally speaking there aren’t a lot of people playing the game when I log on in the evenings my time (UTC/GMT +5.5).

And here’s the dilemma, I like playing WvWvW. If you have played Wv3 a lot, you know that the fun factor of playing in a small or large group that has co-ordination and good leadership, and playing solo is vastly in favour of the former.

So my question is that are there any guilds out there that are looking for more players to fill up their off-peak Wv3 squads? I think I must also mention that I’m not really looking for huge, cutting-edge progression/hardcore guilds…since I am a working adult who is 30 years old, I sometimes do not have the time to plonk down in front of the computer for 5 hours straight everyday (oh how I miss those days :P). I’m also not strictly Wv3 focused to the exclusion of everything else; I like PvE as well, especially this game’s focus on exploration…even though I am 80, I still haven’t been to Orr since I want to complete every 1-79 zone in the game before going there which is why I am still exploring the low-level zones at this time.

So, is there a guild out there looking for a player in my position? Or am I boned and am relegated to running Wv3 as a solo player cog in a zerg machine?

P.S: I use the Battleping tunneling service to play the game and for some reason it doesn’t matter if I play on an EU server or a NA server, my latency is always around the same (190-200). How Anet has pulled this off is beyond me…it’s witchcraft I say!

You have to touch siege weapons once every 30 minutes or they disappear.

I wonder if this was done to counter the siege forest that happened in one of the BWEs.

Please Anet, can we have a Field of View slider in the game? Or a straight out change to the FoV to a value of say 90? It’s really uncomfortable to play at an FoV value of 60 or whatever low number it is currently.

Also, if someone created some sort of an FoV fixer plugin, like from https://www.widescreenfixer.org/ let’s say, will using such a plugin be a violation of the ToS and lead to a ban? There hasn’t been any such plugin that I know of yet, but this is just in case something gets developed down the line.

Ideally though, please implement a slider or flat-out change the value. Or at the very least address it.

The golden part of the OP was when he said SBI is a Korean server and since NCSoft is a Korean company, they are fudging the rankings to favour SBI.

I am assuming the 1-week matches will go on till September 25 or the week after that? That should give a good idea of what the population is like since I assume quite a lot of players playing GW2 now are bored WoW players waiting for MoP to launch.

Can’t wait for the 2-week battles. Right now it seems wasteful to spend money on upgrades and lots of siege equipment.

The population cap for servers was increased recently but the player cap on the Wv3 maps was not. This can (and probably already has) led to increased queue times since we now have more players than before trying to get into Wv3. Any plans on increasing the Wv3 player cap in light of the population cap increase on the servers?

In the asura lab jumping puzzle that’s present in Caledon Forest (to the west of the beach), I got to the final bit where the golems are but the console there cannot be activated and therefore the area cannot be completed.

This is on the Isle of Janthir server btw in case that is relevant.
