What I’m noticing is that certain maps are completely unplayable while others are completely fine. I noticed constant disconnects on maps all over the place from Fields of Ruin, Straits of Devastation, Lake Doric to the blue/red WvW borderlands and even the guild hall.

On “bad” maps, I will not disconnect at all if I stand in place. Spamming skills in place seems to be mostly okay. As soon as I walk in any direction, I get a few seconds of lag and then I get disconnected with the same error code as this thread. This suggests to me this is not a networking issue.

On “good” maps, it’s like any normal day and I can play indefinitely on there.

One interesting thing I did notice is that different IP’s of the same map don’t exhibit the same behavior. I was on IP 143 of Lake Doric and getting the constant d/c. Then I moved to IP 106 and all my problems went away. It seems like specific servers might be unstable while others are fine.

I wasn’t paying attention to the scoreboard when my problem happened so I will have to get back to you on that. The issues actually did not crop up last night for me.

I have seen the same manifestations of this bug as described by the others above. There does appear to be some factor of this being client-side. I have asked in map chat if other people are seeing the wrong colors and seen that it is working fine for others when I get hit by this.

I have also seen a variation of this that Keviin Snow.5760 hinted to above. All the colored circles representing camps, towers, and keeps will vanish from my map. It is also impossible to click on it. This one is actually “breaking” because it makes it impossible to bring up the menu on any of these for guild claiming at this point. This one drives me nuts the most.

Wow, thank you to everyone for the detailed answers and for trying it out! I wish stuff like the wiki had this info posted. That stuff about why the skin and upgrades get lost from generating a new item makes sense. Just glad it can still figure out what the item was after being transmuted.

Does anyone know if a bloodstone capacitor can still be used to reset the stats on a blood ruby backpack that has been transmuted with another skin on to it? If this works, does it cause the skin to be reset similar to how it loses existing upgrades?

I noticed this change in behavior almost immediately up logging in today as well. This is driving me crazy as I have to actually open the hero panel and drag in the weapons to get it correct compared to how it used to work. Please change this back.

So is this issue with Mantra of Recovery going to be addressed or is this new behavior intentional? Prior to the Sept. 29th patch, the initial charging counted as a heal skill. Not sure why that got changed w/ respect to runes.

There are still bugs with Superior Rune of the Centaur and possibly other ones I haven’t tested on mesmer.

Prior to the Sept 29th patch, Mantra of Recovery would trigger the swiftness. The patch from today seems to have fixed some like Ether Feast, but Mantra of Recovery is still not triggering it like before the 29th patch.

Edit: I should clarify this a little. The initial activation that gives the stacks from Mantra of Recovery no longer triggers the swiftness. Actually using Power Return to use a stack does trigger the swiftness,
