I dont know you prefer pvp or WvW or roaming but mesmer is a good choice and for more detail information you need to visit mesmer forum.

Both class work great in pve and pvp content, Warrior if you prefer more solo play and Guardian for more group play.

Warrior you can burst thing down quickly even after sep 9 patch they still pretty kitten but most ppl play war and get bored really quick cuz their play style and sleepy skill animation ( i have warrior and i reroll an engineer for the sake of my time i want to have more fun you know…..!! ) and in pve event i find myself trouble with tag mobs.

Guardian have some cool skill animation they work great in group and their damg even better than war in some situations, best tagging mobs in pve due to #1 staff but same as warrior some of my friend said that guard pretty boring and i can understand why they said that.

Like Yargesh said it all about your personal feelings, you should go to heart of the mist and test both class before choosing one of them.

Some armors clipping this is annoying.

Anyone notice some clipping on human armors ?

Here is what i think you should do :

If you want to do both pve and pvp i prefer you should pick mesmer for dungeons in pve and still be good as pvp. Ranger is strong solo class but still lots of ranger haters out there even after sep patch.

But in the case you already have Engineer and Thief then i prefer you to pick Ranger because you can run dungeons with Engineer anytime you want ( i have engi too and he like master class ) and from what i read it seem you like Ranger more than Mesmer then why not pick Ranger ?

Ranger almost invincible in solo pve more deadly in pvp after patch and if you find your self a good group you can do any dungeons.

I can do lots of thing my war cant do with engineer, may be im not good as war but who care the only thing i care about is i love my engi more than my war

Beside engineer is one of the most fun class to play in GW2 it’s fun it’s versatile and very good class for solo pve.

I have a lv 60 engineer and 80 warrior and none of them can use professions trainer vendor.
Is this a bug or they already changed it ?

Nvm just need to go to major city trainers, i usually use 1 – 15 zone trainers so didnt know the change.

You can try Engineer, i don’t know what about other class but condition damg build for engineer is good tho.

Im already watched some clips in my research but i want to hear more opinions about these three.

Hi everyone im been playing for about a month, i have a lv 80 warrior but i found the play style kinda bored so i decide to make another character.

The problem is i can’t choose what class to be my second character, there are three classes i like so far are Ranger, Engineer, Thief.

I did a little research but none gave me a clearly view about these 3 classes especially the next balance patch is coming this month. So i want to hear you guys opinion about how well they perform in solo pve, dungeons, sPvP/PvP/WvW ( zerg ).

For some reason i can only have one of these three.

Any opinions will be appreciated.

If you like solo or small scale pvp, roaming etc i prefer you should take a ranger, i have a hard time to decide which gonna be my main i have both Guard and Ranger ( iam a solo player like you ) i enjoy ranger more than guard as a ranger im not feel lonely anymore because there are 2 of us wondering around the world and survive much much better in some hard situations than my guard. I’am a melee ranger GS and 1h sword have very cool animations especially 1h sword i throw my self off the cliff many time that make me laugh alot, im try to avoid using bow in most fight cuz it make me become lazy and i don’t like that ( except in pvp ).

Im new too if u don’t mind about my bad english iam more than welcome to have a friend. Playing alone make me feel bad especially most of guilds i joined just like " Silent Hill". My steam id Frost Nos

just played this game not long ago i spent a whole week testing all classes, at the very beginning guardian is my no1 choice and my second choice will be engineer until i created my warrior and this guy made me felt crazy than ever i can’t come back to my guard no matter how hard i try. I don’t know whether regret or happy about my decision but yeah !! now i love my war more than my guard and never regret to make that choice.

Hi , sorry for bad english.
Im new to this game after running around for awhile try to lvling my character i found out that Kessex Hills is a great place to farm ( now my character at lv32 ) but since Kessex Hills is 15 – 25 zone and i still get nice amount of exp from event my question is how long till i stop gaining exp from this map ? and are there any other place to farm dynamic events like Kessex Hill ?

Another question , im a ranger and i love my class but i wonder if ranger are good or bad overall?
