Guild Wars 2

This is now at least the 3rd time i actively notice the game going through insane lag-spikes with ping-times jumping from 85 ms to over 4.1k ms. One thing i do find a bit suspicious is that so far these problems always seem to occur anywhere between 17:00 and 20:00 (CET, Germany) and usually persist for about 30-45 minutes before things seem to settle down again.

During these times i can use Internet for all kinds of activity without issues. It’s just Guild Wars 2 that keeps going through these insane lag-cycles.

I know there are other people out there that experience similar connectivity problems to the Guild Wars 2 servers. I am just curious to see if there are other people out there that can confirm a similar timeframe.

Having the same issue here in Germany out of nowhere ping times go skyrocketing, get constant 7:11:xxx:xxx disconnects. Game becomes completely unplayable.

Playing from Germany on the US Server Sanctum of Rall … i Do occasionally manage to login to the game … except my Guild shows up as having only a single member (me) … and parties don’t seem to work properly either.

traceroute for guildwars2.com seems to break up about 3 (ip-address only) hops after it reaches *.Dallas1.Level3.net. On top of that this is the first time ever i have seen ping claim it’s received 3 DUPs for every ping sent out.

I’d say something is funky with routing out there across the big pond .. which seems to cause problems for us playing from Europe.
