Hey guys, let’s relax a little bit on qq for queues, it’s the first night of the world links. Let’s give the system a week to see where it goes, it was normal for reset nights and even tournament time to have queues on 4 maps back earlier in the game life.

Will that keep up for saturday and sunday?
What will the queues look like on the weekdays?

There could be a combination of factors here for the increased population tonight other than the link.
Maybe a lot of people are excited and playing on reset when they don’t normally play.
Maybe we got returning players coming in and playing on reset when they don’t usually play.
Maybe players stayed up to 10est to play because it’s reset time when they usually start at 8est and be done by 10est or 11est, so lets see what happens on saturday and sunday.
We don’t know these things as yet.

One thing is for sure, many servers needed players because most times it was 3 empty maps and a queued up ebg map. I know being in queue sucks, that’s kinda why they created eotm, play there while waiting on the queue, but give the system a week to see what happens, we can’t judge it on the first couple hours.

Just wanted to say thank you and good job for finally combining servers together to get the population up on wvw maps. been a long time since ive seen a que for every map. Not that im fond of que’s but the new desert BL really shines when there’s ACTUALLY PEOPLE TO PLAY WITH/AGAINST…… good job guys…nice to see something happening with wvw that makes sense. nice edit’s to the layout too. its not a bad map, just a bit too big and glider friendly to have low pop’s and no gliders^^

overall im happy to see some effort put in to my favorite game mode. Thank you.

Had the most awesome time in wvw today! Its been years since wvw has been this lively! Thank you so much anet! I knew my HOT purchase wasnt wasted! Keep it up!

As if this is the first time reset night after a new patch brought big queues.

Calm down it will settle, save your judgement after you see how the week long match goes.

It’s a good thing then that my Caladbolg is rotting in the bank. Maybe that’s a bad sign for the bankers? I think the sword is broken though so maybe its curse is broken until someone makes the mistake of fixing it. I’m already blaming the Bookahs in advance.

The only way to know where it was safe to jump down on the alpine maps was to actually jump, and live. There were no “safe to drop down here” signs

I’ve suggested this once before, will try again.

Increase the strength (HPs?) of walls, gates, and NPCs (including Lords) and increase the amount of supply required to both build siege and upgrade towers/keeps based on the percentage difference between the number of players from the home server vs the “visiting” server. This would not happen on EB, just the individual BLs.

So, if there are 20 “visitors” attacking an enemy BL and 5 defending:

100%-5/20 = 75% – so all walls/gates/NPCs have 75% more health. Siege costs 75% more. Tough, I know. But too bad. Don’t be living in a timezone 12 hours away from the server’s actual timezone.

This is the first time my guild has capped SMC in NA prime with 7 people. Definitely a memorable moment.

You have NO clue what you are talking about. Kaineng Server had a TS provided for ALL of Kaineng. Every Kaineng guild (some more so than others) constantly reached out to RE. They chose to keep on their own TS and basically if anyone wanted to follow them on a BL was given their private TS to join. They chose not to come to the Kain server TS for their own reasons I suppose. Regardless don’t run your mouth about issues you don’t even know (: Then say lets not derail, if you didn’t want a derail don’t involve yourself and basically call someone a liar for what they posted.

I find this hilarious. RE, with very few exceptions, doesn’t socialize with anyone not in RE.

So, not to go off topic too much. I’m just a regular member thats been with RE for almost the entire time GW2 has been out. I’ve seen comments such as server hopper or bandwagon guild get tossed about from a select few in this thread. RE’s history comprises of Game release-December on Darkhaven. Then we were one of the first to make the transition to Kaineng, December till well the Present actually. That is our history, so we give the servers we’ve been on more than enough time to decide if it would be our home. That search didn’t end where we hoped so that is what led to this thread, the search for home.

Of the transfers RE and FBA are just about the last of the transfers that came to Kaineng and we fought hard to make our stay on Kaineng work long after the other guilds left. In regards to anyone on Kain feeling betrayed by a promise made long ago, if you were in our shoes and the choice was between upholding a promise and losing your core players, or moving to where your core players will be happy, what would you have decided? To all those selling your servers WvW to us, might I advise you to be selling your community as a whole instead, all the recruitment threads have been out for us to see, we want to see more than the normal copy paste sentiments.

P.S. Read in a nonchalant tone cause there isnt a lot of anger or rage intended by my post, just stating facts that needed to be adressed.(would have quoted ppl I’m referring to but that would make my post even longer so….)

I hate to say it but looking in a public forum for opinions about a server’s internal community is a rather futile attempt. Every single server thinks that they have the best community on the forums. I guarrantee you that SoR, JQ, BG, FA and DB will say that they have the best community but the only real way to tell is to send over a rep and actually play with that server. Community is the type of thing that you can only get the measure of from being part of it.

In reality, I hope RE goes to a lower ranked server so we can see some new servers make it up to the higher tiers. Joining an already stacked server just makes the game uninteresting. This patch was badly needed just so we could get some new faces. Having servers gain a guild that isn’t a “WvW server” makes things more interesting for everyone.

Yes, having a bandwagon guild join a lower tiered server so that they can inflate their rating and then leave them hanging in a tier they don’t belong in when they bandwagon off again in a couple of months is a stellar way to go about things.

Please Rethesis, don’t even consider any low tier servers. Stay in an upper tier where bandwagoning doesn’t screw with an entire server once you need to go get your fix somewhere else.

Since you know what you’re looking for, may i suggest getting a dev to just close this thread and do what you need to do to make your final decision. This thread has went from servers selling themselves to servers discrediting servers. It’ll just continue to go downhill. While i wouldn’t go so far as to tell you not to listen to anyone, i will however, suggest to get past the trollage and take what’s been said with a grain of salt. In the end, you guys know better than anyone from any server what’s best for your guild.

I do truly feel bad for guilds like NNK, EA, BP and TG etc they had such a good repuation with them and dragonbrand did have one of the best reputations out of any server, until all Agg, CO etc moved in.

What’s even worse is when going gets tough these guilds will be the first to leave no questions answered.

All I can say is.

I am disappoint RE. After all you said and promised.
