A well played ranger is an excellent addition to any party.

Some people don’t appreciate / can’t tell the difference. Others will exclaim their surprise when you actually have spotter / frost spirit / sword.

It is an excellent party filter.

I would say a new player with low AP who is willing to listen is a much better party member than a stacked AP player who thinks they know what they’re doing but don’t and won’t listen.

By taking only 5k+, you will never party with these players.

Apart from the groups that explicitly say no rangers, I’ve never had any problem joining these parties.

I even once had a party where there was another frost spirit/spotter ranger, I retraited.

I’ve not met a bad ranger running that setup (although there are the occasional plummet off cliffs to deaths).

Mesmer has a block in sword 4, scepter 2, distortion on shatter 4.

The best things to have when starting in dungeons for the first time are attitude and communication.

If you’ve never done dungeons before, the monsters inside hit much harder and have much more hit points than most of the monsters in open world and you have only 5 players working together to take them on. It can be a rude shock for some people. Don’t give up, and be open to trying different things to overcome obstacles.

If you’re new, people will (mostly) be more accomodating if you tell them beforehand and then they can explain the dungeon to you. Be willing to listen and ask whenever you are unsure. If they kick you from the party, you probably weren’t going to have a fun time with that party anyway.

Story mode dungeons are generally considered to be more newbie friendly (they don’t even tend to mind you watching the cutscenes). I recommend starting with these.

I noticed one thing whenever people post screens of these Arah LFG showing only selling partys. Namely that all of them were refreshed and that no time at all had elapsed when they took the pictures. So, I opened up the LFG and waited for 10 minutes.

I love this.

And I learned something new today too, FGS 4 and teleport.

I don’t know why people love pug guardians so much. They nearly always spam light fields and overwrite my fire fields.

Guys, play nice.

Stats armours are same appearance as invader’s (old wvw armours), full set is 5.44g + 950 badges. No trinkets.

New skins are 5-15 badges but I think you can obtain all of them from TP. I personally didn’t like any of them.

Try searching for spineguard.

It was pretty funny watching them chase me after I “liberated” Claw Island. They even spawn after you kill everything and win the mission.
