Guild Wars 2

So I took a small break after that whole Scarlet mess and it seems ive missed the start of a new story arc. Anyways, on to the topic.
I’m bored of my warrior I know, its hard to understand with how powerful they are atm. I’m trying to find a good fit for a prof, but im not sure what im looking for outside of a few things I know I’d like.

-Versitility, as in melee/support or perhaps a hybrid build/prof.
-Survivable but not overly tanky
-wanting to do pve, not entirely a pvp fan >.>

I use my own custom build as a warrior 30/0/20/20/0 really strong deals damage. The slot skills are bulls charge stomp signet of the dolyak and then signet of rage. It works for me and my guild (ht) for the weapons it is great sword and hammer for mobility and power stuns, fire sigils on weapons and runes of fighter on armour. For the trait tree you can choose what you want but I guaranty you will probably choose the same. I will call the build beserker if it is not already made. Hope this helped :p

Uhh..I was asking about using shields, and weather or not I can use it offensively in pve. I do like the guardian idea, but im not sure how costly it might be xD

So, I just hit 80, getting a little bored of having axe/mace+GS combo and I was wondering if using a shield is at all effective, or if its possible to go offensive while using one?
I currently have valk/Knight gear, but I will most likely reset my traits to go with something new

So, I have no idea what to do at 80 now that I’ve hit max level.
I guess to get a prespective on what I want to do, I like pve over pvp and I dont know anything after christmas 2012 :x

So, I’m rolling up an ele and im curious about builds.
I tend to be a fan of melee specs, battle mages etc. Was wondering if there was a PVE centric D/D build out there? I havent played sense a little after launch, which is why I dont know a whole heck of alot outside of warriors xD
