Aye that is another good point I forgot to mention, we’re trying D/D ele in roles that we aren’t sure are fully viable yet, so currently i’m only trusting some of our best eles in the focus party and in new positions we’re trying, so really if we’re testing new things for us, we have to make sure any failure in a possible new approach isnt due to human error!

Would just like to set the record straight here, in case people are getting the wrong impression of Dius.
First of all we do not have a minimum WvW kill requirement, I don’t remember ever quoting a number like 150k for our members, it’s possible that most of our members are sitting in the region between 100 and 200k Kills but we also have few who are below this mark, we don’t judge an application based solely on the amount of kills, as it’s not an accurate representation of skill. However when you apply to a WvW focused guild, with only 5k kills and 100 rank, that suggests you haven’t spent long enough in the game to attain the required level of experience and knowledge of play we would expect from an average member. We’re not the type of guild looking to take in fairly new players and introduce them to a tougher style of WvW, we’re looking to take veteran players who have a good understanding of the raid and could further our guild.

As for the next, I did indeed say I was looking for members with GvG history, this is because we’re looking to try promote ourselves in the GvG scene, and as such it’s important for our members to already have experience under the conditions we’ll be facing, those who have spent the past year running in high end competitive play will usually perform better than those for which have first set foot in that game mode, we’re not the first guild to do this, I hardly think it’s unfair we ask people to be familiar with an area we’re looking to specialize in.

As for being the top D/D Ele, this is partly true, If we’re looking to be competitive we want players of a skill level that they would be considered one of the best in their class, we have 2 very good D/D eles already, so if we were to even consider taking another they would have to not only be better on an individual basis than our current members, but also good enough that we would consider replacing players who already know how we operate and the intricacies of our play style.

Hopefully this cleared everything up, so you had an idea from our point of view, I’m not saying you are not a capable player, but we have no real need as a guild to take you in as a trial member to try work on your performance.

Does anyone know anything about them? I just got in GBL after about an hour long queue with some new guild running around.

I literally can not play GW right now, every time i log in, i play for 2 seconds and lag, then disconnect, always getting the “lost conenction to the server” message, or the occassional firewall message, i have checked my firewalls, rebooted my modem and pc, nothing works. I have good moment occassionally for about 30 mins where i can paly, but suddenly the problems jsut pops up again. I had the problem before, it seemed to clear up for a couple of days, now its back and been plaguing me for the entire week.

My main is a charr warrior; male.
I played this guy since the first beta.
Yet to find fashionable headgear. Is it a myth? A Legend perhaps? Maybe one day, after the elder dragons are defeated, i will finally accomplish my goal, of finding a Charr helmet that does not look ridiculous.
I get complemented on my characters likeness to Rytlock, but still … I want a helmet man, everyone else gets one

I’m having the exact same problem, browsing is fine, then i open GW2 and when i play, everything also experiences connection problems ( usually only running teamspeak in the background ) i get lag spikes and disconnected from both systems, started about 3-4 days ago

Everyone else in my house has no problems with connection though, so I’m thinking it can’t just be a provider issue :/

I can go all day without any issue, then suddenly I have nothing but lag spikes, freezes and crashes, with the client lost connection to the server. I reconnect without problem but then it starts over again..This is a brand new PC but I never had trouble on my old one, is this a problem with my Internet connection or?

Just before release, Arena net did a poll on t shirt designs as to which we would most like to see.
Well we voted, and i haven’t seen them.
I would very much like to own several/ all of these shirts but i see no evidence of their existence, very little in the way of merchandise actually… Can anyone comment on this?

This is twice now, WvW reset for the patch update, and when I log back in after reloading, Riverside have swept the entire map.
I know there is nothing against it, and some will say it’s capitalising on an opportunity, but come on! I see it as unsportsmanlike, it’s disrespecting yourselves, i’m sure you could take alot more if you put your mind to it, but now i just see you guys as those who can only take something while the whole of Gandara is logging.

I haven’t been able to play for a while, but i just this morning came back to error 34:4:5:901, “Transaction in progress” Is this easily fixable or do i just need to wait?

My game is constantly freezing and restarting, it comes up with an error sometimes that forces the game to shut down and when it’s just freezing it comes up with “Display driver has encountered an error and recovered” I’m running Nvidia graphicsif that helps.

I’m aware this is probably a very basic problem, but i’m a bit of a tech newbie with PC’s and i’m not sure what to do with this, any help would be appreciated

Wonder if those credentials will be acceptable on my CV…

Some people have been complaining about the personal story, unjustly in my opinion.
I have a Charr Warrior in the Vigil, I absolutely loved the quests with my Warband, particularly the Flame Legion attack on the Black Citadel, however small it actually was.
I dearly hope that later on there will be more quests to re-unite me with my warband…
Also, the Battle for Claw Island was pretty fun, big siege/defense quests really catch my interest from the roleplaying perspective, what were your experiences?
Note* Only level 60 at the time of writing this, so i’m optimistic for future story!

I’m running a Sword main and axe offhand, it does some pretty decent damage.

Just thought i’d post a screenshot from a while back, I’m aware we weren’t the first and it has occured several times, but there is nothing wrong with being proud of playing a part in such a feat.

Are there any actual statistics available to show the prestige of each server in the WvW rankings? Or will that be coming later?

What have your experiences been like against certain servers, any that stand out to you?
Over here in Gandara, Desolation are practically the bane of our existence and have gained a certain reputation especially.
