Nice fight up at hills on gandara. Well snuck in through the north door whilst BB focused ours Gandara. Didnt think we would get it off you but somehow did…. but we were “wtf happened” when it first flipped

kitten, RED seems to have recruited half of spain, bring more next time and you may manage to get bay.

Great fights on BB borderlands from KISS & FURY. Later in the evening was an absolute pleasure to be defending AG borderlands from RED at 3-4am Seems they lost heart at the Siege department.

I hope this megablobbing was just a reset thing instead of a new fotm thing for Baruch Bay’s server otherwise ill lose any respect for your guilds and server. We had enough blobbing last week with FSP being the main culprits creating counter blobbing, 80 guys to take a supply camp gg. Great accomplishment and fun factor must be off the charts for sure.

Your guilds are good enough to stand alone, and have proved that many times in the past. You will lose your guilds identity and become worse and for what exactly? more zerging in the higher tiers? more laggy gameplay? I guess the score and tier mean that much to you instead of the fights. I don’t get how superior numbers and lag is really that fun for you guys… I don’t get that mentality your going to impose on this matchup of blob and counter blob

Instead of your old spread out style which as worked for you in the past and was more respectable and fun, reminded me of Piken.

Looking forward to seeing what guilds still have their own identity this week…

Only bringing this up sooner rather than later before this thread turns into another blob vs blob vs blob argument (where people can obviously see the numbers they are running and against these days)

BB are one of my top 3 servers to date to fight against (because of all your varied guild groups) and previously less blobby ways. If you think compromising your style is fun and worth it then good luck being just another one of those servers

Ah Nukey Nuke. Went to AG BL, was hoping to find you. I made the miscalculation of not checking which side of our BL b4 reset BB would be. (Gandara notorious for being weak on reset) so wanted to fight the side that would bring the most. Anyways seeing as no Gandara turned up left Bay to help with Hills albeit too late. Long night ensued, arguments about blobs aside… RED recruited me thinks, atleast 40-50 of one tag alone. But in all seriousness the single biggest blob i’ve ever seen on one place :P repeatedly lol.

Took some defeats on the chin (only ran 22-3 TUP which gradually lessened through the night), but getting some wipes on that spanish armada was satisfying. Especially the valiant defence of Bay repeatedly and Hills later on.

We are coming for you zerglings, no mercy.

There’s a couple, mostly RED in the blob it seems and sadly they don’t even show everyone as the camera just doesn’t give a wide enough angle.

Hi, nice fights in BB BL right after the reset. Would we not have joined forces together, how were we supposed to stop the combined FURY & KISS attack?
Some epic open field clashes and your defence at Bay delayed our support in AG BL till 4.30 (yet another nice battle with Hills flipping sides xD)

Really really hard and nice fights. We needed them after our T5 week, without any organized WvW guild to face and all full of ranged berserker blobs nad servers that could only fill one single BL.

There was only DsD on that BB BL, and most of the pick up groups decided to join the raid. Just consider that last week many players were interested by WvW due to the patch, holidays and winning wave and they are still a bit lost about the tactics. Things will go back to normal along this week and we will rely more on guilds than on raw numbers.

@Wamgor. Maybe some of the guilds you talk about are already gone. KaZ (now BuLL), SiN and RNV left to Deso, Piken and SFR and we (DsD) came back from Deso right last week. The remaining guilds made a good job meanwhile but we are far from the strengh we used to have. Nevertheless, we are still able to crush a few skulls :P

I don’t care if KISS and FURY were blobbing, maybe they were blobbing to counter another blob, maybe they blobbed first and others had to blob to counter them, it’s irrelevant in this case, they weren’t on the same border as the RED blob who I was referring to, who still felt the need to form an 80+ group when their opposition’s largest group probably consisted of 20 Rddt + some friendlies. Just hope all the BB guilds havn’t adopted the OTT safety in numbers approach or this shall be a very laggy matchup.

Well i can assure you now you’re wrong. FURY actually started out in 2 groups last night because there was that many of us online so we decided to split off. KISS/FURY have great guild communication, we do not run around together nor do we “blob”. We’re simply there if the other one needs us, feel free to check your streams or even ours, we just flanked you at the start and that is only because you were a blob. 80+ people…. jeese. We eventually had to put both FURY groups back together to even have a chance! You even got 30 of your guys to chase one of our ele’s across the map…

Now again this week, an open invitation to anybody who would fancy a GvsG against [FURY]. Its simple, we just love fighting and want to improve, so if you fancy it, either pm me on here or in game!

As Matt mentioned before, fury started with two groups of about 18 but were forced to get back to one group because the huge numbers we faced.

We coordinate attacks/defences with other guilds, it has become a must-do thing because of 50+ groups. See it all in action on:

You got the south inner down, made a little push, got wiped, opend up all of the outer gates, trebbed all our inner walls down, did another push, got wiped, then finally ported into the lordsroom to overwhelm us with numbers.

I do have to say, we had such a good time defending that keep!

cry´s a side guys, please dont make this post another T1 post about Blobs. In BB we have a lot of randoms and a few guildies.

2 guilds 30+ppl per guild > 1 30+ppl guild + a bunch of random.

Yeah let’s just forget about complaining about zergs, we all know that is what wins the game and therefore that’s what people will do. If you want to complain about zergs then complain to Anet. We had enough complaining from FSP about our zergs, not realising they were the ones with the largest zergs. EVERYONE ZERGS!

You mean red was running 40-60 guys (double/triple the size of any guild in the bl by themselves alone but they weren’t alone lol) and then had the rest of the pugs/guilds in there stick with them ikittenergball

Please don’t make excuses for that kind of gamestyle… it will just deteriorate this matchup/game long term if that’s all anyone does, zergball and counter zergball

Because you guys want to be efficient and score points, instead of play the game and spread out looking for fights… You want to be more like some other servers than instead of like Baruch Bay… lose your identity and have no backbone = little respect for your guilds who chose to do that and your server in general.

We wiped your(bb) blob with like 20 people when we didn’t lag out, so its not about “crying” its about health of the game and the negative impact that style is having on the game… if you cant see that then whatever you have no foresight.

We have fought red a lot in the past and they never felt the need to blob up and that’s when they had less people (30+) What has changed for you guys? what Riverside did to you?

I know you guys discussed this on your forums awhile back… do you want to play like Piken/Deso or Riverside/ViZ

If you chose the easy option then no respect for that, as we both know your capable of playing at a higher standard than that… you guys believe your highly skilled as a server then back up your words with your actions in game and don’t zergball the matchup to death. You weren’t that far off piken’s standard of spreading in the past, and with a bit of work would be harder to stop but less laggy fights.

I know you were in other zone mate (not 100% sure what it was like there) just stating what happened in AG bl… and from what I saw last week with FSP and general attitude of most players now culling as been fixed, is to blob more now than ever… even some guild groups. This is tier 4 not tier 1… why so much hand holding and so little independence.

We have met you once that I remember outside nw garrison while I was leading on the wed (of the last bb/rs/ag matchup) but this isn’t about TUP or DsD… its about players being lame and playing the game in a lame way… the win at all costs mentality instead of Fun.

I cant match them, I will bring more and more numbers, other side then usually will counter and bring more numbers… then it deteriorates into a He said, she said, he did it first pointless argument…

Eventually the game will become a slideshow because of the some people would say cowardly I would say lame pack mentality of players taking it to the extreme(excessive blobbing/zerging) abusing the flaws of the game. The frames rate drop is abuse of game mechanics as the server’s cant handle it, yet players mindlessly encourage this type of behaviour just for the win… to me that is stupid because the gameplay is worse win or lose (who cares if you win if gameplay is crap) not very memorable or fun imho.

Just like Culling use to get abused big time, intentionally or not… The blobbing and lag is unquestionable abuse of lag though in most cases (when its excessive i.e entire zone on one commander and not just for keeps)

I already know one decent guild who have stopped playing because 95% of people have become zerglings and wont compromise their style and counter blob because where is the fun in that and laggy fights where your own abilities don’t even work as intended.

Then came a second unnoticed one… which was only mine. That portal was intended to arrive earlier than it finally did. And I exploded in front of your sanctuaries, so don´t complain about the trebus after that. I came in with my white flag and my shiny little portal and you wiped a poor smiling asura out xD

Regarding numbers, just have a look at the stream I posted. No culling + blood red color makes a red tide. Only we didn´t notice it before. And you also have it on your side. Just it doesn´t stomp you.

Also, BB is a PvEish server. Many players joined us after the reset and follow our commanders because of the easy badgets. Just a few more days into this match and only the really interested on WvW will remain. Good news are that we can find some pure WvW new recruits out of this, as there are tons of small friendly guilds filled with people that cannot play proper WvW as they get only 2-3 people online.
We usually have 25-40 people raids, no more, and yesterday we split up to three groups out from it for scouting.

This afternoon we met a few TUPs on BB BL. Looking forward to bigger clashes with you. Pick up groups bring badges, but onginized rides brings the real fun we aim to at DsD.

I went through the video but there is no footage of the bay assault :P around the time that video comes to an end, your servers assault on bay was going on.

Well, it´s a pity, as that was one of the most exciting parts of the night. It´s Spanish time, so it covers from 1.15 to 3.30 CET. We left Bay around 4.30

Nevertheless, I wanted to point out our side… we can also see a red tide everywhere.
It´s a fact and we can go back crying to mum or stick to it and fight. Culling is gone and skill lag is much lower than facing Viz. But complaining is still for free.

BTW today we had a similar while less epic battle at the same spot ;-)

Nice fights all night for us [MM] on BB bl nice work by all that tagged along with us. Skill lag seems to have calmed down abit. Nice defence by our opponants at Dawn’s and Woodhaven, would really of liked to have capped Wood just to stop the guy spamming for his world completion.

Epic blobs in gandara bl. Aurora was missing there… though there was a guild from gabdara trying not to blob stepping aside and charging after we engaged… can’t remember de name… something like dius? we finally decided to join raids Nuke and CS to counter those megablobs, since running 10-15 ppl each one was ridicoulous to fight you.

In the end all the pugs ended joinin us so we had to separate going to waypoints and such lame things, lol.

Lots of badges and vendors to sell full inventories

EBG was hopping today. Had a new commander roll with us for the better part of the day, who kept us more organized than we usually are on EBG. I’d like to think we kept AG and BB on the defensive… even if it was our blob doing the scaring and not our skills.

Ravvik was commanding in the morning, who dealt with a pretty rough crowd, and got caught in some unfortunate battles. Hope it didn’t discourage him too much, and we see him again on EBG.

We’re glad you noticed our meager efforts to not blob <3

We mostly hung around AG side of the map though so didn’t see overly much BB action until we had 10ish Nuke + 2/3 pugs Vs 10ish Dius + 2/3 pugs in Bay.

Had a blast annoying DsD and friends in Hills on BB borderlands was an amazing night! With our approx. 10 guys and 5 TDA’ers hit squad.

Oh and some guy from VLK – Valkyrie something speed hacked around Northern and North-western supply camp. Sadly I never got in range for a screenshot but if you see an asura ranger with VLK or VLYK tag be aware of crazy insane speedhack. I reported him.

I gotta ask: AG when you guys took Bay from us (Gandara) and we took it back before the tick, why did you let us do it again before the next tick? You didn’t push us off the outer walls or destroy our siege…. either time.

I honestly don’t understand what happened, but it was pretty hilarious.

I can say its pretty dull. If its a sign of things to come then yes guys you may ‘has my stuff’

I don’t think I’ve ever been this angry in this game, we capped bay on BB at around 12 pm CET, defended it for four hours, even had a waypoint in it. Then the roflstompzerg of BB showed up and it was goodbye keep. Anger because of pure impotence (of our side, there was no way we could win, we were outnumbered 4:1). Grrr, at least we had fun, kept count of the score in the first 3.5 hours (after that I took a break): AG 7 – Nuke 0 ; AG 23 – BB 0 ; AG 5 – Gandara 1. And we had some fun games of ‘Find the commander’ where we looked for the commanders in the enemy zergs and focussed them (The commander with the funny headpiece and the female elementalist from Nuke)

Also during the process the swapping of first place was interesting, at one point Gandara was first and AG second, the difference remained to be 3-15 points for 45 minutes.
