Really fun fights all-around in AG border this evening! The ridiculous amount of pugs following us from last week were gone and it was nice to see both BB and AG out there in force when we started. No Garrison surprise this time

It seemed like everyone wanted to hold Bay for themselves after we rudely stole it from BB. Plenty of action around there and many times we were cornered there with AG pouring in from north and BB from south. Also had a great deal of open field fights for a change, mostly around Hills and many of the encounters definitely were not pushovers.

I wasn’t paying that much attention to guild tags but we had some fun fights against RED throughout the day. Most of us stayed for some extra time, which paid off with a nice Hills capture and after that we encountered TUP out in the open when we were supposed to go defend Bay and call it a day. After most of the main AG force were cleared from Bay, I liked how you fearlessly charged into all the MM, JDGE, us, etc. hanging around in the vicinity of the northern cliff. :P

Ok everyone. School is over in BB borderlands. Hope you all learned something from your mistakes tonight. I will mention them so take notes

- Stacking up on gate portal when a fully buffed guild group charges from the inside is not something you want to do. It will hurt you and today it wiped you.

- When a smaller group of players kite a larger group of players it is to stretch your sorry kitten out so we stand a chance. Do not be the hero that haz all the range closers and try to kill them alone. This is not a tunnel vision simulator and we can see what happens behind us.

- When you try to sandwich a smaller group of players, do not charge in with your own small group if you do not know when large group is about to charge. We wiped the small group before big group scattered.

- Do not stand close to edges. This goes out to about 15 or 20 of you.

- When you charge alongside a wall there is the rule of 3 S’es STABILITY, STEALTH and SMARTNESS. If you are lacking 2 out of 3 do not charge. Someone was thought a good lesson in that today.

In my final statements I will congratulate We Vanquish Worlds for passing their exams in being a very well played and a very fun guild to fight against. Your server should learn from you.

Hey nukey nuke! Had some fun on AG BL tonight. TUP sends its regards. Also to the other guilds that we came across tonight – good stuff, even if choosing to hit into 2-3 sometimes 4 guilds at a time wasn’t always to the benefit of ones health

Nice to see the commander had a sense of humour after we spammed him with some blueprints Did plan on building a ram and hitting him with it – alas we had no supply

Hahaha! You caught me, I fell and saw many builds on my corpse! Was funny, when we crash with TUP, we know that something strange is going to happen… Nice to see you again!

hahahaha that blueprint war north east tower was priceless Nuke lolol. A bit disappointed you weren’t a bit more aggressive and attack(engage) us more tonight, but some pretty decent fights to be had despite that.

Agreed, I always love fights against you guys, I have lots of respect for you and your guild. It’s so nice to get away from the blobbing every once in a while and have awesome fights like these.
The fight in Dawn´s was amazing, too bad we missed 4 supplies to build that treb :p

it was fun fighting u guys, too many thieves tho!

It makes sense mate, thieves work pretty well in 1VS1, but they can not give almost any kind of support to a zerg…

Thieves give much more to a zerg than a lot of people think if they are specced properly for group play and not specced for 1v1.

I am extremely average at 1v1 due to my spec but in a guild op running with 20-30 people yes I die a bit but not all that often on top of this I hand out buffs to allies by stealing, rip boons from enemies, have blast finishers for buffs, sometimes share some venom love to my allies, I have some healing, fields, stealth fields and some other uses for the group.

Week pretty much ended, and if nothing really wierd happens, i see another week of the same mutchup!!!

Highlights of the defense of BB’s garrison which we took with 4 people, while BB was running golems around the map, and held for 4 hours with paper gates:

2 failed golem attacks at the water gate, totaling 4 golems.
1 failed attempt to build a golem at Stargrove, which was thwarted.
1 failed attempt to treb from Dawn’s Eyrie, which was thwarted by a Stargrove treb. Many badges were farmed on the subsequent failed attempt to destroy said treb.
While 5 of us attempted to take said camp on another occasion, a continuous zerg of 10+ BB streamed in feeding us with badges until attrition finally wore us down. One of ours stayed back to res so we took the camp anyways.
1 failed attempt by Gandara to take Dawn’s Eyrie from a superior number of BB. Failed because the 5 of us didn’t have enough supply to get siege up under fire, but farmed plenty of BB anyways.
1 successful seizure of Woodhaven by 2 Gandarans.
1 failed golem attack at the NE gate.
1 failed attempt to treb from Woodhaven, which was met with ballista bolts. After the treb had already been dispatched, a disorderly mob of BB came to hit the ballistas and were cut down with ease. Lemming drops were involved.
1 failed attempt to ram the west inner gate, which we sallied against.
BB finally took the paper-gate-swiss-cheese keep after taking out the east wall from a T2 Dawn’s, but not before being pushed back at the wall for a couple minutes. Their dead rez-rushed and with about 30 forced us to retreat.

A nod to BB’S 4-signet warrior commander, whom we can applaud for persistence but not much else.

Hills still belongs to Gandara at the time of this posting.

@SoggyFrog – Aww no we lost the BB Garrison! I had a lot of fun taking and defending it with the 4-5 other people this morning. The funniest part was when the BB herd first broke through the north inner gate with a couple of golems but for some weird reason decided not to rush us with their superior numbers in the Lord’s room and instead hover just inside the gate whilst we picked them off one by one. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many people melt to Mesmer feedback and traited projectile reflection before. It really was hilarious.

Later on in the 5v5 the confusion spam mesmers from wvw made me sad panda, so much deeps done to myself.

Fun GvG today for us; our first one as a guild and I think it went well, had a blast leading us to victory twice, both times rather incredulously and with great surprise. The 5vs5s were fun, and normally I hate confusion mesmers, but fairly you should ask for none if you don’t want any… the duels afterwards were quite good also, all in all a good evening.

Not sure if we won against TUP when I was leading the GvG, or if we just confused them to death with triple portals? Either way we were ecstatic when we won

That was good group play, you can’t deny that. I haven’t seen much of JDGE in WvW apart from a solo fight I had with an ele which didn’t last very long but they obviously fight better as a group than they do solo.

We had a fight with an incredibly large force from north camp that greatly outweighed our force of 15~ I can count atleast 25 enemy invaders in one frame of that video there so unless you have a poor sense of quantity, stop trying to blatantly troll.

That solo fight was most likely me if it was against an elementalist using a staff (Or scepter dagger quite recently). I really am not a dueler of sorts so dont take me as an example of our guild Try Frou or osi if you fancy people who are much better at the 1v1 game than I.

In respect to the dont see us much in WvW Comment, we are there, we just dont draw attention to ourselves as we much prefer the guerrilla style of play, While major forces are sorting out towers and keeps in the south we Distract and disrupt in the north sometimes taking out groups much larger than ourselves as shown in that video and many others posted by osi on his youtube channel : Osianic2.

Nah, they’re actually around quite a lot, they routinely help with breaking up sieges when they’re up with decent numbers

It’s good if you can’t see us, it’s sort of a ninja thing. Except I’m super bad at the stealthy part and killing without making any noise.. Our TS gets loud when I hit stuff.

Yes, I did indeed link a vid where our whole guild group of around 15 people wiped to less than 15 pugs at the north camp. The only intention I had of posting this vid was to show how much the guild I’m in sucks.

P.S I forgot to mention that we killed a few lowbies on 01:00 and 10:15 into the movie, you must have missed that part. Oh wait that’s kind of the whole movie.

Bare with us Dius We had 5ish different leaders in the entire event Almost all of them were new to leading. And as Bero said, you’ve also probably noticed we havn’t had any big presence the last two weeks in WvW. Just now and then when it’s been open mic event’s we’ve attended to.

Hope you guys had a lot of fun though Dius, was fun to be back there and fight against you guys. Lot of respect to you guys
And btw, we tried to run a lot to get away from the biggest blobs^^ at least when we were in the water. Tried to get to a place without NPC mob’s aswell -.-

At least cheers for the fights this week to all servers, been a fun week, a bit to bloby for my taste, but that’s something we probably gotta be used to :/ Hopefully it will be better in the coming weeks as I’ve seen a lot of improvement from the huge blobs at the release of the patch.

Kind of suspected as much, you just haven’t been very visible lately. Good luck with that, hope your back to your old selves next week.
Also yes, the blobs are easing off nicely. I guess a lot of returning players, players who would normally hang around PvE and people sucked into the wxp train have either gone elsewhere, joined smaller groups or left the game again.
Hopefully in a week or two things are back to normal.

Was on a lot of occasions we end fighting whole zone with 8-12 people. Getting a bit meh, but at least improving our game. >.>

And so the cycle of life begins once more!
