Destroy Mortars + waves of soldiers = FUN TIMES
(Almost as much fun as being told to kill Toxx 3 times)
I submitted a ticket yesterday regarding crashes. I was told to run an msconfig. That change caused my computer to BSOD.
Here’s my error info:

Every time this has happened, I run repair. Last night I ran it several times to no avail. Today it worked just fine for a while and then again started crashing randomly. I’m not zoning, it’s just standing around town. This started happening yesterday—no crashes before.
Now I crash half the time when I log in initially, sometimes after a few minutes of standing around. I reinstalled the game earlier, after deleting everything including the local.dat file. I made sure DirectX 9 was up to date. My graphics drivers are up to date. My computer is not overheating (checked it). No other programs are having any issues. GW2 is just shooting corrupt files everywhere.
My game started crashing this morning when I logged on. It has never crashed before. Today it has crashed no less than 12 times. I did a repair. I made sure DirectX was up to date. I restarted my computer. I deleted my local.dat file. My game continues to crash and I can now no longer log into my main character at all. I was able to log in to my alt.
Please help me. I don’t know what information to include. I clicked “send to ArenaNet” every time the crash happened. I’ve repaired four times. I’d be happy to provide any info. Here are general computer specs:
Windows 7 64-bit
i5 2500k (no current overclocking)
8 GB ram 1600
game is installed on an intel 520 series SSD
Asus GTX 570
asus p8p67 pro mobo
After submitting a ticket and receiving feedback that’s completely un-useful, I’m still unsure of how to address this. It’s a significant portion of money to lose to a bug and from reports of other people’s resolutions, I’m SOL. Anybody have any ideas?
Did the Pick Up tab display the 2s or did your money just go up by 2s?
I had something similar happen, but the Pick Up tab displayed the correct amount, my gold just went up by the wrong amount.
It seems like my issue (picking up money from the trading post), your issue, and the thread about somebody’s Black Lion Chest contents being eaten might be related as an overall inventory bug.
I put in a bid for my legendary precursor and somebody bid higher than me. I decided I would wait a few days to try again to bid, but that I want my money back to do other things with for the time being. (Namely, go grab my Icy Shard thingers.) So I clicked Remove to cancel my buy order.
My buy order was for 90g11s65c. After I clicked cancel, I checked my Pick Up tab. It said the money was waiting to be picked up. I interacted with the trading post NPC & hit Take All.
Prior to collecting money, I had 19g and some assorted silver/copper on me. I’m not sure of the exact amount. Now I have 97g and some silver. 19 + 90 = 109, so I’m missing 12 gold from this transaction.
I was under the impression that these issues with the trading post had been fixed. Here are the things I’ve tried:
1) Relogging to Character Screen
2) Restarting the client completely
3) Going to another city
4) Logging in to another character and back
5) Waiting a few hours and checking again.
6) Logging onto a third character I haven’t logged in to for several days and trying to collect from the TP.
Is there anything I can do besides submit a ticket while knowing that I probably won’t be reimbursed for this bug that was no fault of my own?
Swapping to the gkit causes a global cooldown, which causes you to miss out on some extra dps. Supply drop can line up one grenade toss as well.
I realize this statement was made a while ago, but I’m sure there are many people like myself that are combing the forums looking for a piece of information. Swapping kits does not cause a GCD. It causes a cooldown on swapping that kit that is shorter than the time to cast 1 grenade. This means that as long as you actually CAST something once you swap to the kit, you are not out any dps time. You can also swap kits while casting to save some time.

This is godly. Getting some slight jittering when in Lion’s Arch around a lot of people now though. Previously had no performance issues at all.
As somebody that hasn’t been venturing into WvW very often, I’m really not qualified to nominate a “best.” However, I would like to say that when I have been in there, the glorious Half Naked Norn of Darkhaven has done a great job of really getting people involved—even people who might only be there to explore the map. Clear instructions + humor = good times. Plus, who can resist the smexeh norn?
This bug continues to be obnoxious. I keep my game sounds low because that’s where I like them. My master volume is at about 25% and my other volumes are lower than that. When I am near pets during events (necro pets, fire elementals, hunters, etc) I get OBNOXIOUS loud noises that hurt my ears and make my speakers very angry. It seems that this has been reported in several threads, and nothing has been done about it. Please fix this.
I have 100% map completion from a couple weeks ago. Here are a couple notes:
1) Dungeons are NOT NECESSARY for map completion. Yes, there are POIs, no, they do not count toward the 100%
2) Some POI’s that ARE required are only accessible during your personal story, so have you completed that?
3) Besides Chantry of Secrets, world completion was completely straightfoward—just fill in all of the zone maps (6 cities, 25 zone maps).
I’d double check your zones. Some people a while back said they had issues with their cities counting & zoning back into those cities helped.
oh wow, how did you get the one in the pirate ship, to the south (cursed shore too)? i’m missing those two for world completion :/
The one on the pirate ship is the one I am missing. I got the one inside the maze a few days ago by transferring to a low population server where it wasn’t bugged. Unfortunately, since there hasn’t been a server reset in several days, none of these challenges have been reset either.
I transferred to every US server several days ago. I am currently in the process of checking them all again. So far I haven’t found any servers where Orrian Spectral Hammer works yet. Last Skill Challenge for 100%
All of those high level zones give the 2 exotics & a bunch of money. It’s really frustrating for this ONE skill challenge to be blocking you from 100% on all of the maps
I transferred to every non-full server to check the Orrian Spectral Hammer skill challenge and it was bugged on all of them. I submitted a ticket in-game a couple days ago.
