People from Quebec don’t play on VS because there not only W3 on GW2 and pve/dj are pretty much empty during the night. And that came from a Quebecois we had on TS like 3 weeks ago who try to move on VS with 5 mates and move back to an EU after a week. Other then that did u see the population off NA compare to Quebec ? How many Quebecois do you think play GW2 compare to NA ?

We are not losing at nightcapping AGAIN ! The matchup is pretty balance !!! For god sake, READ and look at the score before the new year’s eve !

EU servers are made for EU time zone.
NA servers are made for NA.
Because off the mecanic off the game a large coverage = advantage
We can’t have a large coverage so we need to be more dedicated then SFR to match up with the NA/EU. We do it well but it’s still unfair.

I don’t know imagine a Football team with like 1 trillion $ who hire all the best players ‘cause they can, manage to make the best team out of that and crush everyone. It’s the game but somewhat it’s unfair.

Well i guess you don’t. EU in general have some NA/RU/etc because EU means english which mean a lot more coverage while FR/DE/ES limit that coverage because of the assomption about the language. We still have good night force like Elona but we need dedication to fill the map during the night while EU have 1/2 to 3/4 of there effectif in prime time. Like i said Arenanet should either remove FR/DE/ES (everyone EU) or lock NA to NA server.

I don’t see why night cap is a problem it’s part of the game ‘cause it’s base on a 24/7. but i will stop from now because i can’t have a discussion in here. People don’t take in account 3/4 of my post.

WvWvW is a 24/7 there is no nightcapping has itself except that it’s during the night that we cap ^^. I don’t know if you play the same game but we fight hard at night against Elona, Sfr (Na and not Na), and the past server.

When it serve your point you’re the first to bring Arenanet but you forgot to say that Arenanet meant the WvWvW to be a 24/7 match. So i guess in your logic it must be fair

This is kind of laughable, its the exact same shiat. The only difference is that SFR got even better time zone coverage then VS had back in the day.

Its very clear that arenanet want this to be a valid setup, other wise they wouldnt allow NA/RU players on EU servers.

They don’t have a better night capping team, again the matchup is balance (kittening read what we write). We discuss the fact that SFR have a NA team (and not just two guys runing around) that provide a huge avantage – no burn out (or at least less sensitive to it), special days like NYear …

Arenanet doesn’t limit the access to it servers based on a geographic location so yeah NA can move to EU server but then for a fair fight let’s get rid of the national tag (Fr, Es, De). In fact those tag keep away RU and NA players (actullay every player who don’t speak the tag language) ‘cause they assume that we don’t speak english and on the other hand some Fr think that you need to speak french (which is stupid imo). Or Arenanet could limit NA to NA servers. I mean there is a ladder specific for NA …

EU make the assumption that people speak english on the server – With that in mind, on a 24/7 game even that tag is a unfair advantage regarding to the national servers ’cause as you say they benefit from a better time zone coverage (NA/ “RU”).

Just a few more words on the NA and NA servers. I don’t remerber anyone “trolling” about RU on EU servers. I can be wrong. It’s normal for RU to be on EU servers it’s less to see NA even if again they are in their rights. What’s the point of playing on a server where you know you’re not gonna face an opponent at is full potential ?

I really would like an answer to that question, with argument and shiat. Just to make me understand the motivation behind the migration.

That’s true but most of your players that night (for me) did watch the fireworks but 6 or 8 hours later.
It would have been fine to me if those players had skipped the fireworks to play.

During yours Christmas holidays u “nightcapped” us hard, because we don’t celebrate the Christmas and we work till the New Year.

In different countries people have different holidays at different time. When some people celebrate, the others don’t and can play, so stop this b*****t about NA already, stop cry, and go play.

New year’s eve is celebrated everywere but not at the same time ! During Christmas we “nightcamp” EU maps because we were more deticated then you were – EU vs EU. We manage our time to play GW2 during Christmas (or we don’t celebrate it) and you don’t. That is fair to me because you could have done the same as an EU. My point is that if you cap during a worldwide celebration because you have 6 or 8 hours to pass before the “event” compar to the rest of player it’s unfair espacally with NA player on an EU server . I’ve never cryed about nightcamping by EU guild and actually i’ve never cryed about NA guild too but in that particular case of a worldwide event it’s an huge avantage.

As I said, if you could kittening read, the match up was fairly balance before that day and the gap didn’t move much since we all recover from our hangover. QED.

So please when someone is trying to argue stop calling it a TROLL and argue if you disagree. The main reason why this topic turn to a troll fest is because you’re to dumb to argue.

Ps : And SFR is an EU server with a lot of players who do have holidays for Xmas. So please.

What’s happen between the 31 and the 1 is that they was (the NA) between 6 to 8 hours from new year when we were celebrating. Before that night the night forces of the 3 servers was equal or at least there was a balance between night and day forces.

Don’t want to start anything there but VS players are skilled. It’s just hard to do something like RG (BT) does when we play with PU. It’s also what make us strong in the end.

Doesn’t seem to add extra damage with stacked boons. Even with all the boons added the damage increase is not noticeable.

I also play a D/D ele in WvW and almost everyone knows to disengage me and run as fast as possible because they have very little chance of killing me. You see a greatsword warrior…watch out for immobilize or bullsrush 100b. Traits may slightly differ across specs, but how the builds operate on the surface is exactly same. I don’t feel unique at all in combat anymore and everything has become muscle memory. 9 times out of ten, I’m not even thinking anymore, just going through an optimal rotation of skills (especially with my Ele).
Traits should be far more diverse IMO, not just effecting utilities, the actual weapon skills themselves. Take my axe warrior for example. Axe 5 should have a trait that changes the skill to function a bit differently. Maybe the trait will cause the skill to now Self Root you, however you draw knocked down/stunned enemies toward you like a vacuum effect. The skill might cause much more damage to foes its hits, so hammer warriors and Eles would be inclined to team up and use their knockdowns so foes are sucked into your Axe 5 doing huge damage.
Or Staff Fire 5, Meteor shower. Maybe now you have a trait that changes the shower into one massive meteor that hits for huge damage and knocks foes down. The Area would be smaller than the Standard shower but the damage tradeoff would be something to look at.
Another Idea would be Elite traits. Like elite skills you could only have one equipped at a time and they would greatly change how your class plays. An Elite trait for a sword warrior could be, for every stack a bleeding on your foe, you do 1% additional damage.
Instead of increasing the level cap, simply add a new tier of traits “Heroic Traits” for a fourth tier, and give us a bit more trait points to play with. The 4th tier wouldn’t affect base stats, just weapon skills and you might have slots for 2,5,10 down each line allowing you to alter 3 skills if you choose to max that branch.

Read all of his posts, they are all informative, fairly detailed, he tells them when it’s going in and actually puts it in. He seems to stay on top of the post a couple of times and ask’s for information or number’s so he can compare. Then you come accross a post that looks more like an excuse then anything else, click on it, it’s the ranger forum. go back, keep on searching through his posts and you’ll see more informative posts and posts where he is testing stuff for people. If you look at what he has posted here, it’s a joke. First he comes on here creating a new thread, not answering any of the existing threads which makes be think that he hasn’t bothered reading any of our threads. Then we all post positive stuff onto that thread of his because we’re all happy that we are getting some fixes. Then his second post is like ‘wow, this thread has really blown up’ or something to that idea, which simply reads, yea, I don’t read your forum and I’m surprised how many people have posted here. Then patch day comes and we get an excuse!

Read the mods, all other forums get warnings, please stay on topic. Ranger forum get’s closed with no warning or in some instances that I have seen, DELETED.

I have already come to acknowledge that I am GW2’s red headed stepchild, you should come to that realization as well.
